  • In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

    Great car for new drivers(was my first car). I bought my '00 GT with all the bells and whistles in 2011 with 49k miles on it for 6500 and its now at 89k miles and still drives perfectly and handles very well even for it being such a long wheel base and wrong wheel drive. 3800 motors are solid. Too bad GM had to get rid of Pontiac. Should've ditched Buick.

      Ryan Dougherty They're just solid. The only thing I don't like is the transmission on the car. It doesn't hold up. Guess GM vehicles have problems with that.

      The 3.8 and 3.8SC are engines that I've literally seen go upwards of 400,000 miles. I drove it last night and it still runs like a champ!
      The engine actually got rewards back when it was new for being very fast, and being very reliable, while still retaining gas mileage.
      Cadillac had the 4.6L DOHC and it was junk compared to this superior engine.

    • @ArrogantMenace
      @ArrogantMenace 9 років тому +1

      zzzhuh oh I totally agree with you on that. and I've seen an engine go to a little over 600k and the only maintenance on it was oil changes and a head gasket and spark plugs. thats pretty much it.

    If Pontiac were still around today, I would have bought one to replace my Chevy Cobalt. Wonder what a 2018 Grand Prix or Bonneville would look like? Ah, if only . . .

    • @jaidenglass4421
      @jaidenglass4421 4 роки тому +1

      I would possibly not be fwd because they would've gotten help with cadillac with a cts wheelbase for the grand prix and a ct6 wheelbase for the Bonneville but would then become a wheelbase exclusive for pontiac

    • @isaac24

      The Bonneville would probably look like an Impala, and the Grand Prix would look like something like a Buick sedan... probably.

      DailyVlogHub my 2003 was a straight lemon. I loved it but it had endless exhaust problems. AC didn’t work for unknown reasons. Caliper Bolt came out and one end of the sway bar broke off. Back right brake light never worked no matter how many new bulbs I installed. Only had 125k miles at time of purchase and 136k when I’m scrapping it. I loved it but it was endless money out.

      02's are so hard to find now. I've always wanted a Grand Prix because it was the best car my dad bought when I was a child. It was silver GT with Blue lettering and blue reverse lights and the chrome 5 spoke rims.The transmission went out on it a few years ago and he ended up getting rid of it. I'm driving a 2010 Chevy HHR now because I wasn't able to drive when we had the Grand Prix. I hope to get a Grand Prix as my 1st official car! Man the memories in that car

We bought it used in 2003 (it was a 2002 year model and it had 750 miles TOTAL on it at the time) but it was totaled on Christmas Eve of 2008 when a woman in a Dodge Neon slid on icy roads and T-boned us. The GP still ran long enough for us to drive her off the road into the grass :')

    My family owns a 2000 Grand Prix GT in forest green with tan heated leather, cd player, bose stereo, HUD, Moonroof, power everything, 3800 V6, with shiny torque star rims. It was built March of Y2K (My birthday is March 10th, 00') So the car is really special to me! It has just over 260,000 miles on it, but has been babied since the day we bought it (2007 with 67,000 miles on it) It has k&n intake, cherry bomb exhaust, 2 sets of Pontiac rims, washed weekly, detailed yearly, never seen snow in MN

I've had my 2005 Grand Prix for a year, but my mechanic told me the rear subframe was rotted out so bad that it's pretty much undrivable. I just recently started having issue? the Hayes repair manual insist 3 issues. 1+ corroded battery connections. 2.+ dirty air filter. #3+ engine not getting fuel to injector system. I have changed my air filter less than 1 year ago. and my battery connections on top are clean and tight. I haven't looked at any lower connections yet. I don't know if I have an injector issue but I got to find out. does anyone know about these cars having this problem ? difficult starts when engine is hot?

      I beg to differ. I've been in accidents in a couple of these W bodies, and they hold up very well during crashes. I've never even gotten so much as whip lash in these. My Hyundai on the other hand.....

    @saabkyle04 that radio display issue is typical with that style pontiac radio.... I have known several pontiacs that have had theirs go out on them around 100-150k miles

    @SuperSportSS I just plugged the VIN on OnStar's Website, and got this Message: This is an analog-only vehicle, with equipment that can only operate on the analog cellular network. Since this vehicle's equipment is analog-only, its OnStar system will not operate on the digital cellular network. This equipment cannot be upgraded to operate on the digital network. In Other Words, the buttons on this Grand Prix's Mirror do nothing, your screwed in an accident, and your SOL if it gets stolen.
