  • In 2023 Prof. Anne L’Huillier became the fifth woman to be awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics along with Pierre Agostini and Ferenc Krausz “for experimental methods that generate attosecond pulses of light for the study of electron dynamics in matter”.
In this Nobel Lecture Prof. L’Huillier will chart the trajectory towards the generation of attosecond pulses. She will elucidate the pivotal role of high-order harmonic generation in pushing the boundaries of temporal resolution in atomic and molecular physics. This journey through the frontiers of ultrafast science unveils novel insights into electron dynamics and paves the way for revolutionary applications in attosecond spectroscopy and precision metrology.
