Just bought and applied Ultra Copper Max to fix a finnicky exhaust header leak on my '03 Camry 2.4L. New Fel-pro gasket failed to seal properly and a new MLS gasket blew out after 2 months. I'm really hoping this liquid gasket does the trick. I followed the directions to a T, perfectly clean mating surfaces, assembled immediately hand-tightening header bolts, torqued to spec after waiting an hour, now waiting 24 hours before starting the vehicle. Fingers crossed...
As a mechanic, I can say you should only sell the right stuff to a mechanic that stuff is damn near impossible to get off sometimes very impressive stuff
Damn actually I wondered this the other day too and may have to try it today before I reassemble manifold. What did you you find out or does anybody else know of this on donuts?
Any word on this? I installed a new catalytic, and donut, and can't get it sealed up enough. I have three washers pushing the springs and they are probably fully compressed and still it leaks. I am curious if some gasket maker can fill the gap safety and last
@@levent8208 Hello, sorry we don't know how we missed this! But all of our red RTV's will work for your exhaust manifold. We do suggested the Optimum Red which will provided the highest temperature range offered from any RTV today.
All silicone based gasket or sealer can only handle temperature up to 650F temperature so it won't work or if does work it won't last long till it gets burnt out and falls off causing leakage. Exhaust heat can get up to 1200 Farenheit. Permatex got no phone number to call to answer any questions.

thanks so much for the video. Regards
What is copper gasket maker used on?
Can I use this to go along with the actual exhaust manifold gasket?

I have the same question .... won't they answer ?
@@levent8208 I used it and no problems but all I'm gonna say is use at your own risk lol
