Factory springs are linear which provides more accurate information on what is happening on the road, progressive springs is trying to be comfortable and then firms up when pushed hard. Feels floaty which I hate. H&R coilovers are firmer and kw is more comfort
Came back because it’s time for springs. To be clear, I don’t want the ride any stiffer than stock like coilovers. If I want to fill the gap and maintain most of the ride, would you recommend these then or regular h&r springs? Remember I want as close to stock as possible so it’s not jarring for my family! Lol. I am more scared of rubbing etc. I’m on pirellis and I think I’m going 12/15 mm spacers.
Yo dude! Absolutely totally get that. I think primarily the super sports just sit lower so it’s a matter of what you’d prefer for height. I’ll be honest and say I occasionally scrape my lip on super sports and sometimes other parts so I’m sure the regular would avoid that a little. As far as spacers I think you’d be fine with 12/15 on pirellis. I have 15 all around in Michelin no issues.
What’s throwing your check engine light? Down pipe? Exhaust? That would bug the piss out of me, I’d immediately revert back to stock, I’m not dealing with that.
@@ChrisDavis333 so some people actually use o2 spacers or something to that extent to trick it. Personally I’ve heard hit or miss from friends that have it so I didn’t bother and just waiting for tune.
yup you can either swap out your factory springs for lowering springs or do coilovers. Basically coilovers replaces the shock and spring and it’s all in one. I’ll do a in depth video once mine are here.
coilovers give you a ton of freedom to adjust stiffness and height. however, springs on these cars are typically $600-1300 while coilovers are $3500-9000, hence lowering springs is usually preferred as it suits most people’s needs.
@@kentao4 damn dude so glad you are good, that tail spins out any chance it can get! We gotta get the cars n crew together once it gets a little warmer
@@franklinwatson7767 I agree with you, 15mm especially when lowered. I thought mine was rubbing against my vent for the breaks, so i removed them, but the problem persist. I have been thinking of switching to 10mm.
the m3 is a performance sedan. its not a show car meant to be lowered. i dont understand why everyone wants to lower the car and affect the handling/suspension. it comes from the factory at the height its meant to be.

Coilovers are the only option when you are older than 20 years. Springs are only for optic and steal your comfort and performance at the same time.
Hey @myounz question which front lip have u installed in this M3, can you share the web link where you bought it? Thanks in advance!!!
Hey sure thing, the one in this video is actually BMW OEM direct from them. You can probably find reps
Man you gonna be speeding all the time :-) I know the feeling I have a G80 6MT! If I could hear that sound Id be driving like a fool all the time
It enhances the drive so much, it’s what this car should’ve came sounding like.
@@myounz No DOUBT!!!

I lowered my m4 with springs and lasted 24 before i ordered ohlins … springs are trash like trash do it right do it once .
Facts!
thanks for the honest review !!
Ok you need coilovers like BC racing for comfort not cheap springs
What’s throwing your check engine light? Down pipe? Exhaust? That would bug the piss out of me, I’d immediately revert back to stock, I’m not dealing with that.
It’s the Catless downpipes
I figured that would be the culprit. Is there any reasonable solution for fixing it?

...rim size isn't your "gap" problem. The front and rear tires are the exact same circumference.
The g80 m3 come with a staggered setup, 19" in the front, 20" on the back
@@vrezhgulyan6834 I know. I have one. Rims are different diameter, but the tires aren’t.
Do the coil overs lower it too or do u need the springs too. Also what springs and coil overs should i get?
Its more of a coil overs vs springs conversation. They both lower the car

some more fire content as always
That ride height is beautiful 🔥
You should program your valve controller to your home link buttons
I know I should, one of those things you keep putting off but maybe one day

Catless sounds great. Get your shit unlocked.
Bro I was coming off the ramp in KOP and hadn’t warmed the tires up lol. Did a complete 180 by the tpk entrance. 😣
Damn dude no way, I hope you’re good! Cars are replaceable but we aren’t. I always monitor the tires in this season I get too paranoid for that reason

When you're ready for some forged wheels let me know.
What are your spacers width?
15mm all around
@myounz I did 15mm in the rear and 12mm in front. Did you have to cut anything out in the front to avoid rubbing when turning?
@@franklinwatson7767Mine is definitely rubbing in reverse while turning 12mm front. Not sure what to do really.
