Does the 5i really have a MIK compatible rear rack? . If you look on Trek's website, the 5i "says" it does but the picture shows a rack without that front bar cut-out that is needed to attach MIK equipment. . I can't seem to find out anywhere. . Thanks.
This video is a good overview of the bike, however the commentary at 7:22 minutes about the lights is stupid! If you want your lights on or off when you turn on your bike, then simply press the + button, hold for a second or two (after your turn on the power) and toggle how you want the lights to default when turning on the bike. Regarding lights for this bike, then watch this video (ua-cam.com/video/GwVRT6HiSSs/v-deo.html) which will take a total of 20 seconds of your life, versus going back to the bike shop, for something so easy a caveman could do it, LOL
You didn’t say with the additional lock actually does. What is it locking and how is it preventing theft. The first lock that comes with the bike is pretty much useless. Because most of these so just pick up the bike and put it in the truck and unscrew it and take it off I guess, or cut it off if they have to.
A cafe lock is for if your bike is in your line of sight, since no one can hop on and ride away with it on, and ebikes are very heavy and awkward to swiftly carry away. Also, in the US this type of lock is more rare, so it would confuse a thief for a few moments. It's more of a supplementary item.
50Nm of power? What a joke. This is like a euro spec ebike. Any good ebike that will power one up a hill needs at least 80Nm of torque! American mid drives are normally rated at 160 Nm of torque, 120 at a minimum! 48volt or 52 volt should be your strandard battery voltage.
This is the most informative video I've seen on the different features of this bike. Thank you.
Really well done video. I'm researching ebikes and appreciate your detailed walk-thru.
I own two of these 5i bikes and this is the best video I've seen on how the bike is designed and functions. Kudos to Epicenter.
Thank you for all this information. It's very helpful! Well done!
Thank you for this information. I purchased this bike today. The manual is not that spectacular! So appreciate this tutorial. Great job!
You have fantastic attention to detail - thanks for making this
Nice tutorial. Thanks for taking the time.
Excellent, very informative video. I'm waiting for mine to arrive in less than 3 weeks. Can't wait!
I just ordered one yesterday in Ebony. . Can't wait!
Excellent video. Well presented. Great work!
Best overview. Thanks.
I like the townie 5i and plain to buy one thanks for your review
Thanks so much for this very well done and informative video. Bravo!

I like it. What size motor is it? What is cost to my door?
I just bought this bike and my front fenders make a ton of noise. What can I do?
What colour is that green?
How to tighten chain
Nobody is willing to discuss working on rear wheel

Apparently, in America, there's only one size of rider: it's 300 lbs, and no joke.
Are you trying to cycle straight up or something? I routinely travel on 11-13% grade hills and this bike has been completely sufficient for that.
