Hi, Geckobricks here. I'm so happy to hear you like the rocket booster kit and thank you for taking the time to make a video on the product. I've personally been a fan of your channel for a while so I was pleasantly surprised to see the SRB kit in my youtube feed! If anyone needs any help printing one of their own, do feel free to reach out on the download page.
I think that sunrise orange could look good, its a much more traditional bright orange by the look of it. I would also recommend Copymaster3D Premium PLA Rust Copper which you can still find online in some stores@@fdavpach
"The videos themselves weren't that popular on the channel" because of the yt algorithm I believe. I regularly watch your videos, I'm very interested in 3d printing and stuff, but these videos somehow never appeared in my recommendations?
This is an interesting case where Lego could have made the brick container that is also a part - imagine if the tube of the huge tank was actually a single piece being the container for the whole set similar to those of Bionicle/Roboriders sets tube packaging. The tank could have been two piece tube with pointy screwed in top containing all the bricks for the shuttle and boosters. But it potentially would need to be made bigger in diameter because of that if the pieces wouldn't fit.
I agree, with the fuel tank and rockets it’s much iconic. Maybe Lego should have a done mini scale version of the Shuttle with all pieces together to solve the 8k piece count that this scale would have needed.
It looks really amazong!!! Thank you very much for this great video!.I guess I need someone who does the printing for me as I have neither a 3D printer nor the knowledge to handle such a device 🫣🙈
Ok, we really need a vid dedicated to the 3d printer you used in this video!! But I am really impressed by the end result of the whole project! Thanks for the AMAZING video!!
I don't mind 3D printed parts for LEGO, in particular for technic lego since it gives more options. And this model looks great with the space shuttle, I would however have prefered it if the parts the fuel tank and boosters were made of, were more lego/like kompatible.
Such a cool project. I love it. Awesome. Tank and booster are really impressive. Add a starting ramp or lauchpad to the model . Then it is the perfect setup. 3d-modelling. So cool. If someone would have such printer in my neighborhood…. Please can Ou print something for me. Keep up the good work. 😊
I passed this one up as I already have the 10231 shuttle. I think its a bit smaller but still comes in at about 17.5" or 25cm. Maybe I'll pick this up one day and do a custom build for the tank and booster 😁
Well the speed number is pure marketing. The speed could theoretically print at that speed, and the motor movement would allow it to go above 1000mm^2 but the filament has to melt fast enough for the material to be able to exit the extruder. There are high flow nozzles, but its hard to print at a very high speed
Use the Anycubic Slicer and set the perimeters at 300mm/s instead of 260 and thats it, and y can also turn on sport mode while printing and thats really fast!
I could easily change the settings in Cura as well, but based on several reports the printer simply won't have a decent output at 500 mm/s. The flsun v400 has a default Cura profile with the highest speed settings and it can print with those without any issues.
Thank goodness this is the last sponsored 3D-printer video on this channel. Seems that taking advantage of the higher subscriber count instead of doing these videos on your Gadget Reviews channel didn't matter after all. I for one would be happy to see more RC mods or alternative models of existing LEGO (Technic) sets - now that B-models are dead - and not just the same reviews of the free sets you get.
You know, it is not obligatory to watch my content. If you have issues with me working with "free stuff", then you don't have to. This is what I like doing, and I will keep doing what I feel like, and that probably won't be the things you want to see. Simple as that.
Sorry if that came out too harsh or unfriendly. I like your content or I wouldn't be still subscribed. But I will also openly say what I dislike and don't want to see on this channel. You can do with the feedback what you want. Who knows what will be in trend tomorrow. People get bored quickly.
its amazing looking. I’d want a duller orange and Ideally a more accurate launch base (not full tower) without wing slots. Maybe possible with some way of hooking the shuttle into the tank more?
Depends on your local supplier and the brand of filament you choose. There's a weight breakdown on the product page about the required amount - "You will need 750g of orange filament, 650g of white filament, 200g of black filament and 400g of grey filament."
I tried building that fuel tank and boosters and launchpad, but the problem was that the boosters were poorly designed and was expected to hold most of the weight on the launch pad. So it all fell apart, so not recommended.
I didn't experience any "poor design", according to the instructions you are advised to glue the components and they should be able to support the weight. Maybe you should double check the instructions and the quality of your prints?
I’ve just bought this and I’m printing out the black parts for now as its the only colour I have on hand. Anyone have suggestions for a good orange? I have a Bambu orange but its too bright I think. Will be interesting to print the multicolour parts using layer pausing
@timmboz5519 I just watched and went to their website. They ate really pricey. I like the background color on them but I'm hoping to find a way to make them myself. Plexiglass sprayed on one side in the matching colors and the outside should look glossy. Going to figure out hardware that would work. Should be interesting
Might do that if I had a printer😢 I would like to see u try a Chinese brand called mould king and would like to see a review on the motors pls and their technic sets And which 3d printer would u buy and what company if on a budget
You can google the name and find a local provider for the filament. There's a weight breakdown on the product page that you can use to calculate the price: "You will need 750g of orange filament, 650g of white filament, 200g of black filament and 400g of grey filament."

This is why I'm not an early adopter of technology--because the longer I wait, the better it gets! 😂 Kinda like how people in rural parts of the world went straight from no technology to smartphones.
WTF are you talking about? What do you think "technology" means? Electric motors are technology and in nearly everything. Absolutely baffling how someone could be ignorant enough to think smartphones was the first technology in rural countries. Even third world countries have crazy industries rebuilding older tech. Even the Amish modify electric tech to run on compressed air and steam.
I agree with @freegy1998 it’s just UA-cam but if your subscribed then you just get them like I just did 😉, anyway great result with the 3d print. Wow that main booster it shiny - it’s great to see that people are mixing 3d prints with LEGO builds like this. I am curious though could you estimate how much the filament cost was for the print? And what material is it pla/abs/petg? Take care & hi from Canada
I used PLA. Cost very much depends on your local suppliers, you can find a weight breakdown of the required filaments on the product page - "You will need 750g of orange filament, 650g of white filament, 200g of black filament and 400g of grey filament."

Do you think that Polyterra Sunrise Orange would be a better color match for the tank?

"The videos themselves weren't that popular on the channel" because of the yt algorithm I believe. I regularly watch your videos, I'm very interested in 3d printing and stuff, but these videos somehow never appeared in my recommendations?
Agree, been watching Racing Brick for a few years now and I’ve never once had one of these 3D printing videos recommended.
this is why they keep telling everyone to click that bell icon..
Sad to hear that your 3D printer videos weren't that successful, because I absolutely love these
Well, I won't do LEGO-related projects with them for a while, but they might appear on the other channel as I mentioned.
I remember a set like that.
It was set 5956 from the Adventures theme, where the explorer’s blimp piece was the storage space for the set’s pieces.
I love that you don't hesitate to do some 3D printing upgrades to you builds. Hajrá!
Great job. Pls continue with the 3d printer series 😊
I did the same thing for my shuttle. I also used the same copper esun pla. That STL file is very good value!
I will start printing this right now. Amazing model! It will look amazing with the Space Shuttle. Specially in the standing position.
I love how you setup the technic cars on the wall. Great idea, I will look into something similar as space is tight in my office room.
Impressive, most impressive
Awesome result! Looks definetly way much better in this configuration!
This is a very nice project and I’m glad you shared it with us. Thank you for sharing!!!

This is serene and cool in my eyes I like those 3-D Printing videos :)
내눈엔 잔잔하고 시원한 느낌이 든다 3D프린팅 영상이 너무 좋아요
Looks very cool
Quite a good idea.
I am sick right now and I love your videos
Thank you so much man for the idea !!! I was looking to do that for my space shuttle and it would’ve costed me $1000 + with Lego pieces !!!
Absolutely fantastic!!
It looks really amazong!!! Thank you very much for this great video!.I guess I need someone who does the printing for me as I have neither a 3D printer nor the knowledge to handle such a device 🫣🙈
Looks great 👍
Amazing! You have my sub
I recently got for christmass the longer lk5 pro it’s also a giant 3D printer but smaller than the anycubic it has a 30cmx30cmx40cm printing bed
Hope someone will be making the crawler as well. (think the launch facilities is something too big to dream of)
Ok, we really need a vid dedicated to the 3d printer you used in this video!! But I am really impressed by the end result of the whole project! Thanks for the AMAZING video!!
You can find a lot of review videos from knowledgeable people about this printer, just search for Anycubic Kobra 2 Max
I was not so interested in the previous episodes, but this one was pretty cool.
Wow. Super impressive result. Awesome content, as always! 🔥🔥🔥
Please do more of this!

This just gave me an excuse to buy the space shuttle set
Amazing
That looks great! I'm especially interested in using the vertical stands. I have 2 3D printers so hopefully I can get it done fairly quickly.
I´ve been thinking of building the fuel tanks and boosters and the crawler for the old Technic Space Shuttle, with lego parts :3
Next up: 3D printed launch gantry, then a 3D printed 747 transport and aero cover for the engines ;)
That's soo coool

hi there great video, could you not get the orange colour for the fuel tank?
Hello Nice video
I wish they made the stack for the shuttle so it could be displayed in launch configuration
You look like the happiest person alive on the thumbnail
Given that it is 3d printed, they could have added some studs here and there to make it look like gigant lego pieces.
Bro please review the lego Ornithopter and Kawasaki H2R , as both sets have Technic parts
Use the Anycubic Slicer and set the perimeters at 300mm/s instead of 260 and thats it, and y can also turn on sport mode while printing and thats really fast!

@@RacingBrick mine looked great at 500mm/s
thriddi binted?
Ironically those vids are how I found yer channel.
a dinky little equivalent for the 31134 creator shuttle would be nice too :D
There you can still go wild with Lego parts without breaking the bank completely!

The connection between the shuttle and the tank is quite secure, once you glue the support parts properly :)
I think this finally makes me enthusiastic to get a 3D printer. What is the expected costs for the materials once you have a printer?
Depends on your local supplier and the brand of filament you choose. There's a weight breakdown on the product page about the required amount - "You will need 750g of orange filament, 650g of white filament, 200g of black filament and 400g of grey filament."
Cool video. What would the print cost to order it? If that would be possible?
I tried building that fuel tank and boosters and launchpad, but the problem was that the boosters were poorly designed and was expected to hold most of the weight on the launch pad. So it all fell apart, so not recommended.

@RacingBrick I didn't glue the pieces together. That's probably why it didn't work out, but I would never glue pieces together.

In the video you have the 4 Technic super cars on the wall. How did you make the matching colored wall mounted that are behind each car?
He made an entire video about those displays…m.ua-cam.com/video/Bps9_pd-A8A/v-deo.html

Can this be printed on Průša Mini+ or I need a bigger printing space than 18cm3?

The lego version would cost about 400€. The printer alone was 560€...
You obviously wouldn't buy a 3d printer to make this thing alone and just let it sit in the corner going forward...
Who is willing to make this for me and I'll pay for it. I no nothing about 3D printers and would love to add this to my shuttle.

Thanks. No I have to get the Space Shuttle Lego set. My poor wallet...
