Probably the most beautiful piano piece ever composed.
Schubert’s music are musical. People cannot fall asleep at a concert which uses Schubert’s music. Magical... I feel like I’m in a comforting sauna bath 🧖🏻♀️
Wonderful, beautiful, excellent, brilliant, fascinating, fantastic, dreamy, and Thank You, Miss Jegunova
Thank you again and again for wonderful feed-back!
I look at her fingers and know what she is doing - feeling - transfering - THANK you

:) Olga (:
This is indescribable with words. I'll be crying in some degree!
he died at age 31 :( u touched the soul of his music. Amazing!
Words are not adequate to describe your performance. You touched my heart. Thank you for sharing your magnificent performance of this masterpiece.
Better is impossible ! I listen to Horowitz, Maria Joao Pires and many others and Olga interpretation is unsurpassable in this impromptu nº3 !
Here we are into 2014 and I always return to this most beautiful work, which is played to perfection by the best. No one has ever reached into my emotions like Olga when she plays this. Schubert is very proud somewhere in the great somewhere.
Olga has brought a kaleidascope of emotions to this like no one else has ever done! Breathtakingly beautiful and in a real "live" performance!
Music brings together what is most paradisal on Earth.
This is my favourite impromptu of schubert and one of the most beloved piano pieces in my life. The first time, i heard this piece, i was infected. This interpretation is nearest to the one, that exists in my mind. Very inspiring and absolutely beautiful. Now i'm a fan of Mrs. Jegunova. Thank's a lot!
I have played this piece for over 15 years as my daily warmup before going into other stuff. Since the melody is basically carried by the pinky of right hand, and the middle voice is executed by the rest of 4 fingers of the same hand, it's a great warm-up piece for right hand finger independence. I do like how Horowitz, Zimerman, Lupu, etc voiced this piece to give it an ethereal touch from heaven -- tenderness of the deepest love declaration possible. But Olga's playing is also refreshing, adding much vitality and youthfulness to what possibly Schubert would have liked but was perhaps not aware of. Schubert died in 1828 at age 31, as a star that never ceases to shine. He lives on in millions' hearts.
¡Coincido con usted, esta versión de Olga Jegunova es bellísima, es mi preferida!
Your performance absolutely touched my heart!
Those basses are extraordinary, so much power and yet so clear.
My favorite interpretation!💓
Wow. This goes so smoothly and is so elegant played. I could listen to her all day
I find this moving enough to feel my heart ache...composer and pianist. Beautiful
one of the most beautiful pieces ever written pure gold
This music is so moving, so powerfully emotional. I am finding that I cannot listen to it too often, lest I become completely overwhelmed with emotion.
Olga Jegunova sempre magnífica!
Absolutely beautiful.
I can no longer make it through the day without listening to Olga's performance of this masterpiece. I'm hooked.
Everything about this performance is beautiful, thank you so much
Stunning beautifull piece and pianist.
wonderful Olga Jegunova
no fuss no gimmicks pure.pure extacy
Simply beautiful like a flower! Thank you very much for the upload! Cheers from Chile :)
I think this piece represents all that is good in life and that it has it's ups and downs, but everything always resolves. :)
She is more beautiful than the music she plays so well. She is heavenly perfection and beauty. Stole my heart.
Nicely played. One of my favorite pieces.
A truly wonderful performance!
Wonderfull, i can not stop playing this version to Olga, i was thinking this is must to sound the impromtu No 3, is perfect.
Thank you very much OLGA KORNIKOVA
This piece is not only tender, it is loving. My heart melted when I first heard Olga play this. I am sure that she rivaled Schubert's expectations.
This is soooo exquisite.
Only Schubert could write such a thing..
So true...
+DrStrangeloveII haha what about Chopin
+Agamaz Only Schubert wrote such harmonic progressions.
wait so Fantasie Impromptu had no harmonic progressions what
Chopin's music was very romantic and beautiful ... Schubert's is sentimental and emotional by far
This is still my favourite piece, I remember hearing this somewhere when I was a little boy, then I didn't hear it again until I was about twenty years old. I had no idea what it was called. Olga your playing is beyond words !
I tried to transcibe via online translator but it didn't work. Olga , your playing is superb and moves me to tears. This is my favourite piano piece and I will be eternally grateful that you shared it with so many people .You show so much feeling . xx
A wonderful performance with just the right balancec
I never get enough of this.
absolutely brilliant interpretation
PLAYED BEAUTIFULLY. SUCH A TALENTED PIANIST!!
Very nicely done. Great shape, sound/tone, and control of voicing. I must commend the audio engineer as well for getting such a rich sound--I am sure the beautiful hall and piano doesn't hurt! Anyway, one of my favorite pieces as well. Keep up the great work and wonderful listening!
Beautiful.
I don't have words to express simply.......beautiful.....
Rudy Flores how about "She would get it"
This is my favorite interpretation by far❤
You can play it dreamily as Olga does, or intensely like Sokolov, or whatever way, it will always be a supreme wonder of a piece of music.
Olga the master of the romantic piano, what a gift you are to me, thanks for sharing your wonderful talent, lovely lady, a gift to classical piano music lovers
Olga Jegunova THANK U so much
I will never ever be able to hear this enough; it is the most enduring piece of music that will echo through my heart through eternity. Thank you, my dear Olga, I haven't forgotten you.
I like very much this version....expression , pianos and sweet interpretation
beautiful in many ways!
wondeful playing. you got the notes perfectly.
superb Performance. nice Emotion in every scene :)
¡ ESCUCHAR A FRANZ ES ACERCARSE A LAS ALTURAS !!
¡ SIEMPRE HAY UN TIEMPO PARA PENSAR QUE BAJARÁ UN ANGEL , PARA MOSTRARNOS ALGO TODAVÍA MÁS HERMOSO !!
¡ CON ESTAS MELODÍAS, PODEMOS SOLAZAR EL ALMA Y ESPERAR CONFIADOS LA BUENAVENTURA FINAL !!
Simply beautiful!
Fascinante, Olga!
So painful and beautiful ❤️
"painful" ?
People who are not moved to tears of joy by this superb interpretation of an exquisitely beautiful piece are impoverishing Themselves. Why? any number of reasons: they are jealous, or envious, or unaware, or disgustingly pedantic.. They are certainly arrogant. That they think they KNOW exactly what Schubert intended is absurd He himself probably played it differently at different times depending on his mood, his audience, and - who knows - the phase of the moon? The justice is that these people who feel superior deserve to miss the possibility of entering into a rarely beautiful moment. "Judge not lest ye be judged.' Dear tragic/happy Franz - thank you; dear skillful, soul-full, courageous Olga thank you for creating beauty out of a piece of paper with dots on it -- I wish I could embrace you with gratitude for elevating me to ecstasy; and Boris thank you for allowing those who can hear hear something rarely wonderful.
I like the tempo and the dynamics, but to me she's hammering the mid-notes too hard.
Very much so. Painfully beautiful and beautifully painful. If only it were less painful to hear, I would listen to it more often. But as is so often the case with Schubert's music, there are times when I simply cannot bear the beauty of this piece.
Ann Edwards I thougt I was the only one. I agree with you.
BRAVO!!!
Very nice, rich in color and flavor.
Bravo ! the best interpretation. Thanks
Most beautiful!
first heard this played by a friend named Yale Yager. 1984 Cedar Rapids, Iowa. been a Schubert fan every since.
lovely interpretation !
This is so beautiful
che grande artista!!!!!!
Beautiful sensitivity and drama!!!!
Very beautiful. The beginning seems familiar to Adagio in G major D.178.
Extremely beautiful playing, so also the player! Well, anyway, it's perhaps the loveliest piece in the solo piano repertoire :)
Very beautifully played! Better than I can play it, and is probably in my top 10...
Great piece!
Excellent
Perfect.
A Goddess of the keyboard.
Complimenti!
ear and eye candy, au sens propre du mot !!
To hellomate639. I'm not knocking your thoughts on this, you are entitled to say what you wish and you have my respect for the knowledge you have learned of the piano and no doubt put to good use.
I wish I had had the good fortune to learn the piano.
But I will say that for most people, inc myself we don't see it as an academic event. One sometimes finds a piece quite by accident .
For myself, I find this particularly beautiful. I see no faults. I only hear beautiful music. I've seen lots of pianists play this piece , ( my favourite piece ) but this young lady surpasses all to date. So, it's not a dig at you, you may well see it in a different light and enjoy something more without dissecting it too much. . Best wishes.
Sometimes words can not describe the music you just feel it.
crorivpro music is there to describe what words can't.
Excellent!
I came here because of this beautiful song in GATTACA
"You can only play it with twelve fingers"
I thought 20 were required?
ScriabinScholar which is in fact true of the gattaca version of this masterpiece, but you'd also have to have super long fingers in order to play it ;)
While I may have heard the GATTACA version first (back in college) the original Schubert version is the one I ultimately fell in love with. I can't even listen to the GATTACA version any more as it almost sounds like a perversion of this wonderful piece.
It’s a piece not a song
Me encanta esa melodía 👍👍👍🎵🎶
Incredible
Glorious! A beautiful rendering of the melody; a keen sense of drama where appropriate; and a rippling accompaniment that conjures up (for me, at least) images of a flowing, babbling brook. Dare I say that I prefer this performance even to Horowitz's (also on UA-cam)?
Played very well. Good Musicanship
There is Mozart, there is Beethoven, and I admire them greatly but for me Schubert is no 1.
No one could touch the feelings like him, he truly must have been a genious.
Though I love Schubert and I believe he is a genius too, I would put in no1 Chopin...I believe that no-one can express ideas and feelings in such miraculous pieces better than Chopin. I'm talking of course about classical music and also my taste in music is subjective. I respect your opinion obviously :)
Bravissima
Wunderschön
My ph my I love this playing brings music to my ears
Hello Olga, I have recently started learning this wonderful piece of music and listened to several great interpretations on youtube which are all beautiful. However, your interpretation is beyond beautiful and absolutely magical. Do you have any forthcoming performances planned? Louis :)
love it
Olga, oh my God, Schubert will be jumping up for joy for the beautiful way you play this great Romantic Impromptu but add to that the way Mother Nature gifted you with a beautiful form, so elegant, so touching. It was after listening to you play and perform this what got me hooked, I ordered the music but... naturally not with the original key is it 5 flats?... but with only 1 sharp. (easier to play) but I'm not sure Schubert would approve because he must've fingered it for mostly the black keys? I'd think those melisma's would roll easier on the black keys? huh? Am I correct?
You and your playing are soooo Romantic, I can't stop flirting with you like this in CyberSpace...This very piece should be featured in the upcoming Movie "Fifty Shades of Grey" even though its Chopin's great Prelude is the one Christian Grey would play for his beloved Anastasia Steele. I'm sure the British Author E.L.Williams (who wrote that erotic saga 50 Shades) debated strongly with this Schubert Piece versus
Chopin's sadd-ish Prelude.. but figured "Oh well the Prelude is so much shorter since Franz Schubert's piece goes on and on..." LOL...
Olga if you sit down at my piano and play like this I don't know whether I would jump up and kiss your delicate beautiful fingers or cry for joy in the beauty that Schubert basked in when he composed this elegant beautiful song with its sonorous pounding bass notes constantly reminding us with a turbulent roll in the left hand...wow...I think this has to be my MOST favorite Piano composition EVER.....thanks OLGA for this
Are you Russian?
Played andante as written on the score, wich is not the usual way it is played. it is indeed a very hard piece to interpret but i think the faster tempo brings out a feeling of hopefulness that is to me more profund and "en accord" with the image i have of schubert than the more elegiac tone brought out by a slower tempo. anyway just my humble opinion
Lovely
F Schubert is a genius and greatest composer
That was good.
I love watching young girls play piano.
purerthangold okay I guess...
huh
I am an American who has always appreciated the classical Russian tradition of letting the composer be the star of the music, rather than the performer. Such as occurred in this video.
Exquisite
Szép nő , szép játék , gratulálok !
Daniel Baremboin played this in Notre Damme Cathedral in Paris during former French President Jacque Chiac's funeral service
She missed the best part of the song at 0:30. I’m not one of those guys, but I love the part where the right hand goes to the d and then the e flat before heading down to f
