Richard Bandler is an absolute genius. I have seen him do this a lot of times and really wonder why his methods have not become completely mainstream. His most important lesson is how 'malleable' the human brain is. Lots of things people think are absolutely fixed and cannot be changed, can be changed in a few minutes. NLP is certainly not just the power of suggestion.
Masterful and wonderful! Yay for the power of skilled NLP. For all the comments below questioning the number, Dr. Bandler said "352" because he wanted to initiate confusion/trance in that moment, which he reinforced with "that's right."
So fun! Love this - and seriously we don't have to be afraid... really...NLP is that fast... Love it, Thank you, Kelly and Michael, for having the good Doctor on the show and demonstrating this for millions of people!
Damn good. Not sure about the 352 day statement though.. Could be a damn good pattern interrupt or the failing of an older guy. Who knows, but it certainly would work as a pattern interrupt. Nice clip.
Ophidiophobia is the fear of snakes. The power of suggestion is awesome and because Michael is willing to listen to him first of all, it is the reason it could even work. It is amazing that he even held it. I assume he is an animal lover, an animal hate would have probably said no. QUESTION TO EVERYONE, what will happen if someone tries to scare him really bad with a snake now or snakes. P.S. He still needs to get Hayden back, he should hold a snake in front of her and swap it out with a fake perfect looking one and have something bad happen to him or the snake.
+Tian Dubord If someone jumped out at him and threw a snake, it would be the jumping at him that would cause a reaction, not the snake. His phobia is now gone. NLP is much more than "power of suggestion." It is an altering of the unconscious mind.
But isn't it a good thing being afraid of snakes? It should be hardwired in our brain or something. Lets remember that our brain hasn't evolved since we were living in caves. However, this method is interesting and could be applied for more important things, like degrees of social phobia.
+Filip - (Aren Bi) I agree that it's useful to be cautious around some things. To me, the answer is that the NLP practitioner needs to work with their client to find a suitable middle ground, i.e. one where fear no longer restricts the client in their daily life (but without exposing them to danger). For example, someone who is so terribly scared of dogs that they avoid public places and can't take a stroll through a park may benefit from help. Still, you don't want to take it so far that they suddenly start running up to every random dog they see and try and cuddle them. :)
+Tian Dubord all birds in general, but chickens are the worst! and i am a little dizzy around needles just when i see them but its when i get poked by them that i cry and pass out and see white. :/ lol
+BeccaBxo My chickens were like parrots, they would get on your arm. As for needles for me, it is the not knowing if it clean if I didn't see it come out of a package, like at a dentist and that it may break or in the case of drawing blood, miss a vein. I have met a few people scared of chicken but not regular birds that fly a lot. I would think a bird that could dive at you with speed would be more frightening, like a falcon. Do you eat chicken?
Tian Dubord yeah i eat chicken haha chicken on my plate isnt scary :P I am also scared of birds that fly bc i have been dove at by brids a lot. We used to have bird feeders in our back yard and sometimes birds can get defensive. Its scary lol and i also have been chased by hungry geese and swans. I think its all just translated into a fear of any bird, including in flying birds, chickens, geese etc.
+BeccaBxo You should go to a farm petting zoo and see children playing with chicken. If you do go to any farm with birds, never have anything I your hands. As for diving birds, they usually only do it if you are near their nest or have just pasted it. The people and children in my family were all scared of chickens until I fixed it by showing them that I could handle them like pets. I could reach under my hens to collect their eggs and the worst they would do if maybe lay another egg. Geese will chase you easily up to 100m from their nest. Sometimes people have little clouds of bugs over them. Birds and bats do dive for them, usually when a bigger bug is going after the bugs above the person. I should point out that the only thing I am allergic to are birds. I raised chicken and talk about them in a video called Morals. Check out my channel, I looked at yours but it is all uploads. Do you have any of your own videos, record yourself going to a farm petting zoo. Click on my About, I noticed your has nothing. Hope you get over it and what scares you about needles?
+Olivia Tunnell Thats on purpose. Richard Bandler is a master of Hypnosis. One way to cause a state of trance is through confusion. Whatever the reason, the main point is that he got rid of a phobia. What other field of study can remove phobias this easy? One session & hustle free.
***** actually he kind of speaks like that normally. I have watched a lot of his instructional videos and this is typical Richard Bandler. The point is though, the fact that he helped him and what he did worked. It would have been nice if he talked about Hypnosis though. Hypnosis needs the light.
this bullshit... he cant just stop like that! sure maybe to go touch it abit but when he went to it seems like he was never afraid of them!!! i call this all acting... bad acting
These are the types of videos that need to go Viral!! 🙌
This is the Power of NLP and the reason I am an NLP Practitioner.
Wonderful to see a person being able to live fully without fear.

It has a lot to do with suggestion. He hypnotized him through the floor to work on this one which is why they went off camera to get it done.

+Connie Brannan Exactly! Pattern Interrupt
He modeled that from Erickson
Me thinks that he was using quantum linguistics....although it could be reframe or hypnotic language.
Ah! Now I see
NLP IS STUDY OF SUCCESS, PSYCHOLOGIST LOOKS WHAT FOR WRONG AND NLP WHAT CAN WORK......GREAT
Oh wow, that's amazing!
But i wish i could see the whole thing that not interrupted by commercial break.
yes they left out the "good stuff" for sure.
Omg never really expected this. Richard Bandler is genius🔥❤️
So fun! Love this - and seriously we don't have to be afraid... really...NLP is that fast... Love it, Thank you, Kelly and Michael, for having the good Doctor on the show and demonstrating this for millions of people!
This was such a cool segment. Holy moly, Michael is one damned handsome man, too. He's awesome on the show too...
Richard Bandler is my favorite NLP trainer. Looking forward to the 8 June, 2024 event in London.
Damn good. Not sure about the 352 day statement though.. Could be a damn good pattern interrupt or the failing of an older guy. Who knows, but it certainly would work as a pattern interrupt. Nice clip.
this why I don't tell people about my fears
Bandler is a true genious!
My mom could use this for the same problem and my sister for spiders.
That's fucked up to throw a fake snake at someone who has a phobia.

So quick it almost seems unreal
Wow! That's amazing!!!
Amazing!
i LOVE snakes but i HATE spiders
love. the. show
I'm so happy for Michael. However, since snakes are dangerous I think having fear of them is a good thing. lol
Knew Michael you could handle that snake great going
Sensacional ...
I can just imaagine Tom Coughlin watching these snake segments thinking only if I know that weakness then.
No need to waste your time watching this. They removed part of the method.
Blink it black and white? if I was the subject i'd say, "what? what is it that you want me to do?"
HAHA I also forgot to say Kelley totally missed the Alice Cooper reference
YAY! Micheal is Snake Free!!! :)
I really wished they hadn't cut to commercial since that's where all the magic happened. It's almost as if that was on purpose 🤔
How many days in a year? (3:00) and Alice for a male snake? What am I missing?
352 days in a year is a Milton Erickson technique.
He's overloading Michael's mind.
There is no way in hell that would work with me. Snakes, frogs, alligators, .... I just can't stand them.
But isn't it a good thing being afraid of snakes? It should be hardwired in our brain or something. Lets remember that our brain hasn't evolved since we were living in caves.

Im not fearful of touching a hot stove but I dont go touching hot stoves. Get it! Only fear we come programed with at birth is loud noise!
'The FEAR of anything can cause serious phobia'!! Try NOT to fear anything or anyone except JESUS CHRIST!! #justmythoughts ★★★
^ The irony is palpable.
I have a really bad fear of snakes. No thank you. I wouldn't be able to touch it.
thats what he thought too
maybe that's michael's twin brother. I can't believe he was cured that fast.
WOW that is amazing! Good for him, how awesome. Now someone do this for me with my fear of chickens and needles! lol
+BeccaBxo Only chickens or all birds and do you pass out if you see a needle or get poked by it?
+Tian Dubord all birds in general, but chickens are the worst! and i am a little dizzy around needles just when i see them but its when i get poked by them that i cry and pass out and see white. :/ lol

352 days in a year? haha
I'm no Dr, but I think there are 365 days in a year.
+Olivia Tunnell That is what I was thinking. I am glad someone else said it....lol
+Olivia Tunnell He said 352 because he accidently was thinking 52 weeks in a year.
+Olivia Tunnell Thats on purpose. Richard Bandler is a master of Hypnosis. One way to cause a state of trance is through confusion. Whatever the reason, the main point is that he got rid of a phobia. What other field of study can remove phobias this easy? One session & hustle free.

Haha I was thinking the same thing what did he say 352?? Lol
Dies the next day picking up a viper. Ignorance kills.
352 days is a year - think he's drunk
+annajeehee He said 352 because he accidently was think 52 weeks in a year.
