May Allah guard and protect and bless and preserve you dear Imam Sohail and those who are listening on the learnings. Your lessons are treasures by Allah's grace Ameen.
MashaAllah such a comprehensive lecture, not just good content but in times where there are plethora of content to consume, to have a succinct and comprehensive conversation is rare. This lecture is exactly that.
Ever since I encountered Shaykh Sohail's lecture on Surah Yassin courtesy of CMC Ramadan series, I am just in awe of his knowledge and way of presentation. So so good to be able to listen to him again. May Allah bless you and all of CMC team members abundantly.
JazakumAllah khairan Sheikh Sohail and CCM. A most informative and inspiring talk. May Allah accept it and may He allow us to implement what you have taught us and form communities of faith everywhere.
I'm so glad to hear you emphasising how important it is to look out for people before they fall, before they are forced to beg. As a late in life revert I have struggled with the lack of this in Islam. The message is always that if someone is struggling they mustn't complain, they shouldn't bring other people down with their troubles, they must always be smiling. Which often looks like a cop out of the community in looking after those in need on their doorstep.its easier to put money in a collecting tin than spend time with someone who has mental health problems or take someone else's children to the park because the family is going through some difficulty. May your message spread far and wide.
Excellent analysis of exploitation and alienation and their origin. This lecture shows that Islam can solve the greatest of ills in our civilization, an ill which we don’t like acknowledge and which the revolutionary ideologies have failed to right. Allahu Akbar.
As Salam o alaikum brother Sohail, May Allah (swt) continue bestowing His favours upon you & your loved ones for the sake of His Habib (saw), Ameen jaza-k-Allah khair, with caring du'as
Amazing presentation ماشاء الله In reality, so long as we continue to use fiat currencies we have no escape from the disease of RIBA. The community of zakat should be established on the criteria of real tangible intrinsic money whereby the one donating gives in fiat which is exchanged to gold/silver by the zakat collector and the receiver of zakat (i.e. the miskeen) gets gold/silver. The community comes into fruition when local businesses and service providers start to accept gold/silver as legal tender, hence making way for the miskeen to spend on his/her needs. Until the form of money, which is the lifeblood of a community, is not challenged, we, as an ummah can never establish the true value of a good or service as there is no free market (everything exists in bubbles, just as Ustadh Sohail said in the presentation).
Masa' Allah 🙏 sheikh may Allah protect you and bless you with more knowledge,I gain a lot..!!!
