Overwintered 4 Red Devil chillis in very small pots which produced up to Xmas (in heated conservatory). Then in spring I put em in slightly bigger pots & they are throwing out tons. I have my scotch bonnets which I sowed in March they’re flowering 🤞they do well cos they are my favourite
My best year yet on the chilli's. And I've just ordered a an Autopot system for next year with a little discount of course.

Haha you didn't pull hard enough on the jigsaw! You just didn't want to taste it! 🐔That Habanero plant looks most excellent! 😍The AutoPot pots are 15 and 8.5 liters. I got my plants into my AutoPots quite late (or more like they had been too long in 2 liter pots before), so I'm not sure how they'll work out this season. I'll give it a go next season too, but if they don't manage to fill out a 15 liter pot over the season I will get some 8.5 liter instead. I'm also considering getting a 1 pot setup for the grow tent so I can grow one bigger plant inside as well 😄Nice deals for trading chili plants hehe. And lol at that caterpillar! 🏎Also, I remember the the Hainan Yellow Lantern being more, well.. Yellow 🤪Shapes look exactly as I remember them though. Either way! Thanks for an awesome pepper tour and I'm not envious at all over all the peppers you have forming already (even if you say they shouldn't really be there yet hehe).
Hi JB I’ve been waiting for an update on your peppers so thankyou for this one. I was thinking about the extra bushes plants this year. When you mentioned it in Pottymouth, I wonder if its happened because you lost so many lower leaves because of over crowding earlier in the year. The same did and has happened some of mine. Let me know what you think. They’re looking fabulous though chuck x
I’m growing an orange Habanero jalapeño & sweet peppers outside in my garden I don’t have a greenhouse or pollytunnel it’s my first ever growing chillies. All have flowers on the sweet peppers have fruit quite small yet though

My chilli tolerance seems to have plummetted since last year. I picked a Jalapeno this evening to add to the salad leaves and cucumber from the garden for the evening meal. I thought I'd better give it a try as the rest of my family prefer very mild chilli flavours. It nearly blew my head off. I'll check tomorrow if it was a Chillichump version as I did grow some and as you point out they are quite a bit hotter than standard! I am assuming it was a Jalapeno. It looked like one... My labelling this year has been a complete disaster. I was really really careful this year to make sure everything was labelled perfectly with indelible pens. What I didn't realise was that just because they are indelible doesn't mean thay are UV resistant and basically it was like using invisible ink...
Great Chilli update. I'm going to try the Sugar Rush Long Peach next year, they look fantastic.
Happy Friday, JB!!! 🥰🌱❤️ So many chili peppersss! 😂 I only grew a Jalapeño for Joey, and a Thai Dragon pepper for me this year. (Since last year ALL my chili varieties were harvested for Joey’s coworkers 😅) This year I’m mostly growing a ton of small sweet peppers because they ripen quicker. Your face when you tried that pepper 😂 hotter than you remember. Have you grown any “white” chili peppers? 🤔 Came across an interesting variety I hadn’t heard of, so thought of you. May send you some seeds for experimentation for next season! ❤
I did a white pepper last year actually! The fish eye. Tasted absolutely disgusting and was also extremely extremely hot 😂
My first year growing chilli peppers & I think they're doing ok. I'm growing them in a polytunnel, mostly in 7.5 litre pots, although I do have some in 2 litre rose pots. Guess time will tell
I’m gonna try your cayenne pepper for next year sounds interesting & probably manageable for me cos I don’t have lights
I'm growing Anaheim and Aji Dulce peppers outside on my allotment here in Herts. So far have harvested 8 peppers from the Anaheim ( turned them into pepper poppers) and nothing from the Aji Dulce.
Your chillies and peppers look really good.
I am growing some chillies but I have no idea what variety they are, I just had some seeds a while ago and just keep saving the seeds and re-growing them each year.
Perhaps next year I might get some varieties of chillies to try. I grow mine outside in pots - so if it is really rainy or a bit cold I can move them into my greenhouse.

I have only grown cayenne and lemon drop this year and despite the crazy overcast and cool weather they are doing well.

I'm growing outside, in The Netherlands with growbags. Luckily most of my plant survived the horrible spring in reasonable fashion.
A bit small still and far from ideal, but flowering at the moment.
I'm just wondering, where did you get the seeds for the Korean chilli? I'd love to get some! Do you by chance sell or trade/exchange any later this season?

I don't sell but at the end of the year I do often have lots of seeds spare which I post out to patrons :) the Korean one is from Adaptive Farms in the US, but it doesn't look like they stock the mild one any more

Would it be possible to set up a solar powered automatic watering system in the poly tunnel? That is what I will do in my green house, and with the prices in Sweden, it turns out cheaper than buying all of these self watering pots.
Can you prune the tops of the pepper?
My chillies and peppers are all meant to grow up to 12 inches or longer,they look awesome,have some in the pollytunnel and some in my greenhouse,the ones in the green house are getting holes in the fruits and leaves,any ideas that I can do to prevent this as I have no idea what's doing it

I'm actually not this year! I do really love it but I find it very mild for my sauce making. I probably would have but I think I might have been out of seeds this year? Or maybe it just didn't make the cut
@@JBNat Well, there's always next year. I absolutely love buena malata; the plant, the pretty little flowers and of course the fruit. So glad you introduced it to me!!
Are you eating all the chilli that you harvest?
@@cristinaciofu6278 I mean none of it goes to waste but I do still have bottles of sauce which are a fine vintage now 😅
@@JBNat that's why I think it's best to grow what you like to eat because for me the space in the greenhouse and polytunnel is precious. And with chillies and sweet peppers it's a long way from January till now.
Well not learning anything here😮
