- Just starting up and driving a 2006 Hyundai Sonata GLS with the 3.3L V6.
These pull quite hard and the 5 Speed auto really helped. Interior quality is still on the cheap side but it really improves when you step up to he Limited trim.
The A/C must of been out of Freon so 94 degrees isn't fun in dark car. - Авто та транспорт
Thats actually a nice video i am in love with this engine sound and rpm slow movement
I owned a GLS V6, I was the second owner bought it off of my dad and man that was a great car. They were quick too, esp for mid 2000s consumer sedans. Best 0-60 I got was 5.9 sec. Compared to the 2005 Optima V6, it was a world of difference. That previous gen Hyundai & Kia V6 was booty. This 3.3 was a sleeper for sure. I sold it in 2017 bc I had gotten a 2012 Malibu LTZ V6, and although that thing had about 20 more hp, the Sonata was quicker by more than half a second. Unfortunately the person I sold it to totaled it within 3 months 😭 my current daily is a 2019 Elantra GT Sport ( i30 ) and its a turbo 4, but coupled with the DCT, it hits 60 in 5.7 easily. Hyundai, Kia, & Genesis ftw
Mines about to hit 200k, only had an issue with the timing belt exploded when I redlined it one day. Ended up deleting the mufflers, it had a decent sounding engine. The manual gear shift is the best part of the car, honestly, if you use it right it makes the car accelerate a hell of a lot faster than youd expect
i use manual all the time with the v6 surprises the hell out them they just got dusted by a Hyundai
I just got an 08 Sonata and was wondering if its normal for Hyundai cars to make a "non-shifting" noise..or similar to that. Passengers riding in the car have made remarks to how it "sounds like it hasnt shifted" but I havent noticed it..any help?
@Intechdude300 Stock Speakers tho?
@Intechdude300 Which i assume means they are Decent for Stock.
what's wrong with the door panel?...i notice when you rolled down the window it looked fucked.
I love the sonata the 06 is sexy I love the leather seats
@xoquixxoqafxo The starter in this one is going bad by the sound of it. We have several of these V6 sonatas at my work and the starter sound is very nice
I have the same bluetooth radio and mine crackles and sometimes goes to loud at low volume
lmfao "just sitting here sweating my balls off in this Florida heat"
looks like this one has an aftermarket Radio....do you know if the speakers are aftermarket?...they sounded good when you turned the radio on.
form109 i have the same exact car. Stock speakers in mine sound so damn good. I just changed the radio out for a kenyewood and turned the bass up. It hits good like bose stereos.
I didn't realize Hyundai had a 3.3 that long ago. I see it's in the 2015 Santa Fe 3 row stretched version. Probably modified from 2006.
This was the first use of the 3.3 in North America and it was a really good engine. Quick as hell for a consumer sedan. Back when I owned one, people on online forums stated they had theirs dyno'd for shits & gigs, and found that about 227hp was going to the wheels, making it that Hyundai under stated performance from the factory. I believe it tho bc I have a 0-60 I recorded with an old draggy hitting 60 in 5.9 seconds.
@@_dmfd Good info. How long did you own it?
the hyundai sonata is a very nice car we have one with the v6 and it way better then any american car.
I own a 08 Sonata V6 Limited (bought new) and I think it is normal cause mine does the same thing and took it to the dealer and they said is normal! And mine has 182,2563 miles on it lol! And never had a problem with it!
My ac broke too haha and I have the same engine
I own a 2006 and when I drive it it acts like its missing now it doesn't do it in neutral only when driving what is it? I have no idea on this car

It literally looks like someone bit the door panel repeatedly and hyundai transmissions shift so lazily
@Intechdude300 totally true! i find it amazing that hyundai owns a share of kia, and basically gives kia the platform for their mainstream sedan, yet kia makes an even better vehicle with their platform LOL
I'm old enough to remember when Kia was an independent car maker. If I remember correctly, they were using Hyundai powertrains even before the merger. The company struggled with sales though hence the merger and the styling wasn't nearly as good as it is now.
I don't think he was flooring it all the way
Dude I just got one no AC also
I hate that metallic noise the starter makes... sounds really unrefined
lol.. that what i do
Lmfao!
for everybody dissin... yea it does annoy but thats a quick fix.....these guys that made this video really made it to be a hassle... but some folks have shit to tune cars......lol... you guys really made the Sonata to look bad
definitely not
this is by far the most annoying car i have ever heard someone start....DINGdingDINGdingDING......
