Ingredients:
4 medium eggs.
1 and 1/4 cup of greek yogurt (350g).
2 teaspoons of vanilla sugar (8g).
zest of 1 lemon (1 teaspoon).
1/2 cup of cornstarch, or potato starch (70g).
5 and 1/2 tablespoons of sugar (70g).
1 tablespoon of lemon juice (15ml).
a pinch of salt.
Powdered sugar for garnish.

This yogurt cake recipe looks so delicious and yummy, great preparation and an awesome video🧡💛❤
Ingredients:
4 eggs, separated
1 1/4 cup greek yogurt
2 tsp vanilla sugar
Zest of 1 lemon (1 tsp)
1/2 cup cornstarch
5 1/2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
Pinch of salt
Powdered sugar for garnish
Directions:
Preheat oven to 170°C / 338°F
Whisk egg yolks and yogurt
Add vanilla sugar, whisk
Add lemon zest, whisk
Add constarch
Whisk/mix until mixed until no clumps remain
Beat egg whites with mixer
while beating, add sugar to egg whites, a third at a time
Add lemon juice
Add salt
Beat until stiff peaks form
Add egg white mixture to the yolk mixture, half at a time, gently mix until combined
Pour mixute into a 7 inch baking mold (or pan)
Remove bubbles with wooden skewer
Place the pan into bigger pan, and filll the bigger pan with some hot water
Bake at 170°C / 338°F for 40 minutes
Open the oven door for 5 seconds, continue baking on 130°C / 266°F for another 15 minutes
Let cool in pan for 2-3 hours
Remove from pan
Sprinkle some powdered sugar
Enjoy!

I've tried this recipe and was a flat cake... So what do you use as a rising agent to make it so raised
The egg whites are what is supposed to give it its lift and height. You have to make sure when you add them that you fold them in and try not to deflate them.
American oven Ferinheit is different but so far so good. It raised well.

Instead of conrnstarch can I use custard powder
If I'm not mistaken, custard powder is basically cornstarch with yellow coloring and also salt. So, it should be okay to use custard powder I guess? Can anyone help us with this matter? 😅

@@MC-rw3lc Tapioca starch will make the cake chewier from what I know. And cornstarch is different from corn flour 😊

Vanilla sugar! Really. Like I can buy that at my local grocery store!? Pain in the butt to make. Its delicious.
Vanilla sugar is a common ingredient in every European and UK grocery store. No need to get snippy. They shouldn't have to accommodate every English speaking country.

Couldn't you just add a little vanilla to the cake with sugar? Seems to me that if you don't have vanilla sugar, that would be good to do it....
@@reneeevans9074 I've done it with vanilla sugar and vanilla and sugar. There is a different texture and taste to it. Not sure why. I'll just use the vanilla sugar.

Much too complicated...not worth the effort since it appears you have to struggle to break it apart after slicing but.
Not complicated at all, it doesn't fall apart because it's not a dry cake, it's moist!!
They are not struggling. They are purposely going slow to show how light and fluffy it is inside. And if you consider this complicated, I can't imagine what you think easy would be.
Too slow and annoying. And was wondering if this was another 2 ingredient miracle. But as always lured into another multi ingredient non flour cake I already know how to make.
