Thank you to all the active-duty Military & Veterans and your families for your service!!! ❤🇺🇸🙏🏼 My oldest brother is an Army Veteran! Loving your page-edge idea journal...the ideas are boundless!! 💖💕💗💌❣️
Good morning! Love your Natasha inspired project. My husband served and is now a retired veteran (served 34 years!). Two of our daughters serve in the Army. One is a Blackhawk helicopter pilot and the other works in flight operations. We all appreciate your recognition!
Thanks to them all for their service! ❤
Morning Kathy! What an incredible family you have! Thanks to them all! ❤
Blessings to you & your brave soldiers! Thank you
Thanks to all of you I have been both the active duty and the dependent spouse and think both jobs are equally important and equally hard you can't really have one without the other you need the help and support
Love, love, love this idea. I went and got a book to do this right away. My husband is a Vietnam veteran. He was a helicopter gunner.
Hi Pam! Please give your hubby a hug for me and tell him I said thank you! ❤
Love this idea book! So many great ideas! Thank you to all military and their families for their daily sacrifices ❤
🇺🇸Shout out to all the vets🇺🇸 and let me do another shout out to the wives at home carrying on without their spouses. I had our son while Ronnie was in Korea. The hospital was full of family and friends supporting me. My sisters went to the Red Cross to get the news to Ronnie. Letters and MARS calls through Ham radios were the communication back then. Thanks for mentioning them. 🇺🇸 God Bless all our service men and women 🙏🏼
Love all these ideas! 👋🤗❤️
Yes! Great to remember the family’s sacrifice as well! ❤
I love your page edges. I need to make a list for me. My husband is a Vietnam vet, my son in law was in the Guards state side, my son is a purple heart recipient after hitting 3 different IED's in Afganstan. He does have TBI but is functioning well. I am so grateful!! He received a medical discharge so retirement and medical for life. He is with a Gold Star gal who lost her husband from an injury overseas. Her son is joining the army after graduation in May! Thank you for the shootout for our vets and families! Hugs
So grateful for your family’s sacrifice and service, Linda. ❤
This page edge idea book is wonderful! I can’t wait to make one. Thank you to not only our vets/service men & women but also their families waiting at home. I hope you and Mike had a great Easter with the family. Have a Blessed day!
Little tiny wax seals on the envelopes would be so cute!
I'm an Air Force Brat! My dad retired from the service in 1975. My favorite place our family was stationed at was in Germany. I was a teenager, so I have wonderful memories of traveling Germany, France, Holland, and Austria. Came back in USA Christmas of my senior year. My prayers were answered thst I had enough credits to graduate at the new school. ❤
What wonderful memories, Linda! So much gratitude for your Dad. 😊❤
This is so fun! Kathleen does a fabric ruffle that is gathered not pleated and after she glues it down she pulls the gathering thread clear out and leaves the ruffle.
The little envelope border was really cute. Wouldn't it be fun if one was a working envelope with a hidden something?
Cute to staple the butterflies for the body on the circles! Yes all need to pray for all veterans. We watched that movie also!😊
Love the envelope edge. So cute. So any great ideas. My husband was a Vietnam veteran. He served in the Navy. ❤❤❤
Please thank him for his service. The Vietnam Vets hold a special place in my heart.
Thank him for his service ❤
I agree with Donna! Please give him a hug for me and tell him thank you for serving us all! ❤
Really impressed with the mini envelopes. So much fun
These ideas are so fun! I have no relatives in the military now, but my dad served in World War II, and both of my brothers were in the army. My older brother served in Vietnam. A big thank you to all who have served and are currently serving!
Yes, so grateful for those that protect our freedom. ❤
I love ❤ this journal, Gayle. I found in my idea box I had years ago.
Take a square punch along the edge of the book page to create a framed edge, then punch acetate squares for the frames. Pictures can be added into those acetate frames. ❤
I am always trying new things. Sometimes, they are a huge flop. Other times, they work.
I love ❤ experiments with different edging, it's a form of expression, relaxation, and creativity ❤
Hugs!
Good morning! I hope you enjoyed a blessed and fun Easter with your family. I am from a long line of Veterans. My Dad, and 2 of his brothers served, as well as my Mom’s 4 brothers and 1 of her sisters all served. Several of my cousins served in Vietnam. My husband’s grandfather served in both Scotland and the US military. I really loved the doodling idea and the hearts. So many creative ways to add an edge to our journals! Thank you for continuing this book with us! ❤ May God bless all of my fellow stubbies’ families who have served, or are currently serving in our Military. ❤
Morning Colleen! What an incredible family for so many to serve our country! Bless you all! ❤
We forget that we still have sons & daughters in danger, fighting for the rest of us. My son often has a problem with the stock phrase of "thank you for your service". It's difficult to explain, but the sacrifices are so numerous and deep that this phrase can feel trite. But he says that he's knows people mean well and he appreciates the hearts of gratitude. But his favorite thanks are lives fully & joyously lived, love and action for our country (even in its imperfection), true & heartfelt gratitude that is expressed through lives authenticly celebrated and lived, and generosity freely shared.❤
If you know of military families in your neighborhood, please give time and labor to ease their burdens during deployment & let them know we haven't forgotten their sacrifices and demonstrate our appreciation. Thank you! ❤
Really well said, my friend. ❤
Good morning Gayle!! Love all these page edge ideas. My favorite is the fabric washi, really made the page pop!! Hubby is a Navy Seabee veteran. Prayers for our men and women protecting us, and the spouses at home waiting for their return! Have an awesome day...💜
Morning Carol! Please give your hubby a hug for me and thank him. 😊❤
My Dad was in the Marines on Iwo Jima. He was wounded twice and both times went back to the fight. Very proud and grateful for his service.
I’m grateful too! 😊❤
On the heart edging, another cute idea would be to sew through each heart, connecting them so they form a string of heart, then attach it to the page. Or!!! Rick rack could be used instead of sewing! So many cute ideas for page edges.
I'm really enjoying this idea book. The little envelope edge and the circles with the butterflies were my favorites. My husband served in the US Air Force, retired.
Thank him for his service! ❤
Hi Anita! Please give him a hug for me and tell him I said thank you! ❤
Good morning Gayle. So many great ideas. Love the series. TFS. ❤❤❤
Morning Beverly! ❤
Absolutely love this project. Will be using as my next journal. Be safe, stay warm, love your videos…
I have a saying in my creation station that says creativity takes courage. You are the most courageous person ever. I love your stuff. You keep me inspired.❤
Paula, that might be the most lovely comment I’ve ever received! Thank you for making my day! ❤
I just love all these page edge ideas!
I’m so glad you liked the movie recommendation I suggested…Mend The Line. It was great to hear you enjoyed it. I think I probably already said on my other comment but my oldest son was a Marine (still is I suppose) but he was injured in Iraq around 2004 when he drove over an IED. He ended up with a little shrapnel in his liver and his temple. Another guy totally lost his hearing. Evidently the device was placed upside down and it could have gone way worse. I’m so thankful that he came home to us and sadly there were too many that didn’t. He has issues with PTSD and depression so the movie hit close to home. My daughter is also in the military, in the Air Force, and was just recently promoted to the highest NCO (Non commissioned officer) rank. She’s a Chief Master Sergeant and I’m so proud of the both of them. Thanks for the shout out to our military! 🇺🇸🎇
Big hugs to you, Tammie! It has to be so hard to be a military momma. So grateful for both your kids. Sending love and hugs to you all! ❤
Congratulations to your daughter chief is a hard rank and when I was in there were very few women that got that far maybe different now
Thank you to both of your children and hugs and thanks to you for all your support and work behind the scenes
Love this now I want one too! How about maps as an edging. You have to keep going with this because it is so fun! Thanks for sharing.
This is such a cool book look! Thank you for recognizing our brave soldiers! I have a special place in my heart for vets. Blessings to all our vets wherever they are in the world! Hugs from Michigan Bev.
I used die cuts of watering cans of different colors down the page, and die cuts of butto ns. I also just thought of attaching colored tassels to spaces in lace on the side. The ideas we can do is endless!❤❤
My nephew Daniel is currently deployed to Saudi Arabia. Thank you for your prayers! Can't believe how many different page borders you/ everyone has come up with! Great ideas❤😍
God bless your nephew, Debbie! He’ll be especially in my prayers. 🙏❤
Loved those adorable tiny envelopes, Gayle. The tape measure brought a couple neat elements with the black, bold numbers on the fabric tape.
So many cool ideas 😎
My husband was Air Force for 4 years. Then reserve until his death in 1993. Currently have 2 grandsons serving. One Marine and other Army. Very proud of them.
As you should be! So grateful for their service! ❤
Hi Gayle. The edge ideas are really great. Have a lovely day. Hope you had a wonderful Easter with your family. Something you said resonated with me. I have six children, five grandchildren, and one on the way. Sometimes we can’t always get everyone together at the same time, and sometimes I’m sad because I miss the ones that can’t be there. You said to remember to just enjoy the time you have with the ones that are there and to not dwell on the ones that aren’t. What words of wisdom that ring so true. Thanks Gayle. 😊❤
Thanks so much, Heather! ❤
Save some of that rick-rack for another groovy journal. It would sure match. Hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend with your family! 🐣 🐰 😊
Kind of a variation on the circle edge idea: You could also use the leftover strip from your circles as a page edge and put butterflies or something else in the middle of each circle, or you could use the leftover strip from the butterfly punches.
Oh Goody!!!! Love this edge book...🥰
Whew ~ so I may not be losing my mind after all…that’s a relief! Thank you❤❤❤
How fun is this book?! A great thing to do for low MOJO too! Thanks Hon! And Natasha! ❤
Loved your video, so many awesome ideas. You could do an edge with paw prints or maybe for a baby book have little footprints. Another idea could be state flags or even family crests. So many fun ideas.
Good morning, Gayle. All the different page edges look so good together. Awesome book. Have the best day! ❤️😀❤️
Morning Laurette! ❤
I fell asleep watching this twice.😂 So I had to watch 3 times .😅I'm loving this journal!! Absolutely gorgeous! I watched Janet Nash the other day and she took strips of paper in several colors. She cut several slim slits them on the diagonal side leaving a small amount not cut. Then cut the pieces in 3 shorter pieces. Once glued on the page sides it looked neat on the page sides. TY for sharing these. Today's quote: "Just one small positive thought in the morning can change your whole day" - Dalai Lama Positive Healing Prayers and Peaceful Blessing.Huge HUGS! Namesta 🐞🐞🐞
Good morning Gayle, it’s my birthday today, fooled my mom & came early, lol! I love this page edge trim, it’s awesome! Hope you had a wonderful Easter,my hubby & I just stayed home & relaxed! Hope you a wonderful day!🤗💜🌻💕
Happy Birthday 🥳
Happy Birthday! 🎂🎉🎊🎁
Morning Diana! Happy Birthday, my friend! 🎉❤
@@gayleagostinelli_ct Thank you 💜🌻💕
@@colleenmc8450 Thank you!🌻💕
Good morning my dear friend, it’s another beautiful sunny day here although it’s still cold for this time of the year. I can hardly wait to see the trees budding and the flowers growing. Spring and Fall are my favourites. I find summer to be too hot and winter to be too cold.
I enjoyed watching you showing all the different ideas for decorating the edges of the page.
I believe that every Veteran should be given special consideration and thanks and they should be taken care of especially if they are injured. Vets are special people. When I was a in my teens I used to write to soldier while he was serving in the Vietnam war. It would have been nice if we could have met when he came back from the war.
I hope your family Easter was everything that you hoped for. I hope you and Mike have a wonderful day today. May God bless you and your wonderful family always. Take care and I will see you in the next video.
Your friend Cindy, from a small town in Northern Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦
❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
That’s awesome that you wrote to a soldier, I bet it meant the world to him to receive your letters!❤
Morning Cindy! ❤
Good morning Gayle! Perfect timing, couldn’t sleep with the pain I’ve been experiencing from my reverse shoulder surgery. Thank heavens your video kept be distracted for a while. God Bless you! Hope your Easter was the best! Hugzz💖
Morning Cherri! Praying for you to be pain free, my friend! ❤
@@gayleagostinelli_ct thank you Gayle! My postOp is later this afternoon.💖
Really enjoying this process Gayle.
Have you thought of sewing pattern ruffle; photograph edge; perhaps Tim Holtz paper doll edge; cut away part of the page so like your painted wave edge reversed; feathers; flower die cuts; seasonal ephemera/die cuts. I could go on but I won’t lol.
Good morning Gayle! This was such a fun morning. So many great ideas, I'm not sure which one I like best. Have a great day. Take care and I will see you tomorrow. I love you friend 😊 🤗❤
Morning Patty! Love you friend! ❤
Good morning Gayle and friends! Your stretchy lace/ribbon Julia over at Camilla Crafts Design would say is was for your “knickers”! She is so funny. She asked if American’s use it for our knickers or do we call knickers something else! Pretty sure my days of lace on my knickers is long gone. Amazing how many more ideas have come in. this is so fun. BTW my grand-daughter is a meteorologist and her forecast tonight said eastern Kansas and central Missouri will have a severe weather alert for Monday. Be weather prepared friends! Have a great day all!
Good morning!
Morning Twila Sue! ❤
This will be a treasure to look back on for ideas ❤
Great ideas again Gayle, Happy Easter, back to work for me tomorrow after 4 wonderful days off with my family and friends. We have had amazing weather probably our last of “summer” even though we are a month into Autumn. I’m loving this book of ideas
Hi Mrs. Gayle, great idea. I have to make myself all kinds of idea books to keep up, lol. But they're on my list to do. Of course I will re watch when I get them done. TFS, crafty hugs.
Good morning, Gayle❤. These page edge videos make me so happy, as do all of your videos.
Idea: anytime you write in a journal/idea book, write the date just a reminder when this was written ( for posterity).
Edge idea: Dollar Tree sells 12 inch bling borders in all colors and various widths.
Blessings from SC❤
Morning Brooke! ❤
Good morning Gayle💕
Thanks for all the fabulous ideas, I will be referring back to this. Enjoy your day, big hugs! 🤗
Morning Celeste! ❤
Still excited about the bug journal finish yesterday but I just watched the very end of it today. ❤️
I love all the various page edge decoration in this old book. Lots of ideas for future journal pages other than just lace.
Good morning Gayle! Love all the new page edge ideas!♥♥♥♥♥
Morning Shelli! ❤
Good morning sweet Gayle, so many fun ideas! Have a wonderful day🌻
Good morning, sweet friend! ❤️
Page edge ideas/ not sure if you already have these: Heat emboss edge of page, word labels, paper buttons.💖
I used postage stamps down the page too! I actually made my own stamps that I liked even more!
Hi Gayle. Love these page edge videos. If I don't find a book to use soon I'll have to make a journal to put them in. If I do it will be with binder rings so it can grow as new ideas come along. My ideas for today are making "holiday" themed edges and the other idea is to use puzzle pieces...I know you will think that puzzle pieces would be so heavy it would tear the edge but I discovered that the picture layer peals off quite easily to lighten the load. And bigger puzzle pieces make great page tabs. Anyway, great video. Hope your Easter was fun with the family. 🐇🐣🐑 Hope you have a great day. 🌞
Hi Donna! ❤
Good morning, Gayle. This was a super fun video. So many cute ideas. I especially like the circles with the butterflies, the doodle with the writing and the tiny envelopes but they were all great. I think it’s fun to be able to just brainstorm a bunch of different ideas and go with it. Thank you for the inspiration! 💜
Morning Barbara! ❤
Butterflies down edge.
Love the fresh ideas.
My wheels are a turning.
You are my QUEEN of journals. ❤
Kerry Beth
Aw, thank you, Kerry! ❤
Lots of fun ideas…..super fun!! ✉️✉️✉️✉️✉️✉️💕😁
Good Morning Gayle, love all the additions to your journal; mini envelopes are cute. Need to make a list..Have a great April 1st..April showers till Thursday here. 👍🪻🪻🪻☔️
Morning Pat! ❤
This looks like soooo much fun 😊 love your and Natasha’s ideas, thanks for sharing 🌻
My favs are the envelopes and the writing. On those thumb holes I stopped trying to cut them and starting making little slits and folding the paper over. So much easier
My freshmen year of high school in English class we used a box similar to those, ours had a word on one side an defanition on the other. Our family has hade many Vets (9) this includes my son who was in the first Gulf war. Thanks to all who serve.
Please add my thanks as well! ❤
Hi Gayle, love all these different page edges great ideas from you and Natasha xx
Hi Lucy! ❤
More edge ideas. Die cut leaves in various shapes and in autumnal colours, postage stamps, scrap leftover fussy cuts, different shaped tabs, whale tail etc, your little squares you cut out for your scrap diary. Also recommendation for viewing the Tom Hanks Steven Spielberg Wartime drama Masters of the Air on Apple, it is fantastic.
Great ideas!
Thank you! Mike’s going to love this one! ❤
Good morning!! Love this project! Every book would be different because everyone would have slightly different products. 😊
Adored the little envelopes, one of your viewers suggested that it would work well in a Harry Potter journal. Certainly would make a good project making numerous envelopes of an evening watching sports!👍
Have a good day!😁💕
Morning Susan! ❤
Good morning Gayle! Thoroughly enjoyed the video today 😊. TFS!
Morning Beverly! ❤
These are all so fabulous but the little envelopes take first place, Thank you Gayle for your lovely video and idea's ...Kia Kaha...❤
Good morning Gayle!! Jut love this page edge idea book! It’s genius. Great inspo from Natasha and I love your take and ideas.TFS! Have a great day!💞💕Hugs!!
Morning Junell! ❤
Thank you yes fabulous ideas and yes good idea to write down
Side note: I absolutely LOVE the patina your hand-turned ink dauber is getting! So beautiful. I hope mine does the same!
Enjoying the ideas. What about your vellum strips that you stamp on and the fabric rolls that you sewed a whole bunch of fabric pieces together
This is a great idea. Love all the edges
Your videos are so relaxing to watch. I loved the little envelopes!
These edges are so cute! Tfs! Blessings!💕
So many wonderful ideas. I think stamping images or words along the edge would be fun. You could do it directly on the book page or use your strips you save to stamp on. Even if you take just one image & stamp it along the edge multiple times before you re-ink & in various directions, collage style, it gives the effect of your stamp off paper I think.
Hi Gayle! I think the envelopes are my favorite one so far! So unexpected! Cool! I'm enjoying seeing all of the different ideas on your pages!!
Hi Joanne! ❤
Hi Gayle!! There are a lot of wonderful page edge ideas in your book!! This is going to be very handy reference!! TFS!! Hugs, Liz:)
Hi Liz! ❤
Good morning, Gayle. So many fun ideas in your book.
Morning Robin! ❤
Happy April’s Fool Day! Loved the ideas! 😊
Same to you, Susan! ❤
Such a great idea love it so much am definitely going to make one for me. Am so excited to get started. Tysm to you Gail and to Natasha.
Good Morning Gayle, loving this page edge idea, I sewed by edge page with slow stitching, added some shredded newspaper, using color pencils to put colors on, so many....thank you for sharing, big hugs.
Morning Nicky! ❤
This is a fun project 😁
I'll have to watch that movie. My husband is a retired veteran and so are my two brothers.
Are you going to do any whale tail or paperclip ideas for the page edges? What about wrap around things?
Happy Easter Gayle, I made the envelops, put them on straight and folded bottom part up to write on and stamped with mini postal stamp and they look great, on some others I'm going to ruffle up small pieces of lace into bows, thank you for these ideas love them😃
I haven't started mine yet...I need a good deposit of free time in my schedule...but I definitely will. I have another idea for a page edge, but need to try it first and see if it works. 😂 Thanks for delighting us with such an awesome project. ❤ Belinda xxx
Just had another thought whilst I was watching you glue the hearts, what about die cut pastel bunnies. Happy Easter.
Your friend Sevenplaza did page edges on her Mass Make March #2 video. Had some great ideas too. The ideas are endless. I'm looking for a book I can't live without to start my idea book. Big hug always. ❤❤
Very lovely ideas...love the little envelopes 🎉
More great ideas ! I love the doodle page, there’s so many things you could write. I think using left over pieces of ephemera would look good on a page :) tfs, Jennifer
With small items like circles or other shapes you can sew a line of stitching down the middle it may make them easier to apply. One kind of page trim I oftentimes use is book page strips that I have sewn a decorative stitch on down the center then I glue them on the page edge. It is a way to add stitching without compromising the page edge. I also enjoy using my edging die cuts on page edges. I cut them and then glue them. Just some thoughts that came to me. Take good care and have a blessed day!
Thank you, Mary! ❤
The envelope border would be great for a Harry Potter journal....😊
I am making one of those right now! I’m going to do that. Might need to use nouveau drops instead of wax seals on each one. 😆
THESE ARE GREAT IDEAS-TFS-HUGS/BLESSINGS
That Fortuitous tab could look cool with that large space above the word punched with a shape or too or cut the edge wavy. Something like that.
Good Morning Gayle. 💖💖
Morning Edie! ❤
Good morning. 👍 I loved the edge book that Natasha made. I watched her video when she first released it and thought it would be a fun thing to do, but haven't gotten down to the thrift store to find an old book. Now with you doing it also I'm going to have to make a stop today when I go into town. One of your viewers said her husband thought a dry baby wipe would make a good edging. That made me laugh, and then I thought, but what about a paper towel that you had been using to clean up ink or watercolors that is covered with all of the bright colors. Once it's dry it is very bright and fun looking. Then trim to an edging size piece glue it on both sides of the page by wrapping it around . It's funny how one idea leads someone to think of another idea that is somehow connected. You do have a number of creative ideas that were not thought of by Natasha. Thank you for sharing this very fun idea that can help get our creative juices going when they slow down.😊❤
Yes, Gayle, I am trying this project.
