Hey Adam! I just got back a few days ago and im re-doing all my videos because it's changed so much. I still love this place but I will admit it has been heavily used over the pandemic and while it's still quiet and clean - and offers free beer.. it now caters more to work away types. - If you are wanting a more social hostel and do not care about the location as much - Try Wise Owl Asakusa side (its right by the Sky Tree)
@@hazelshostels thats super helpful to read you are recommending wise owl Asakusa because ive just been toiling over 6 different hostel options and trying to find the best bang for buck, nice layout and social butterfly hostels in the area and this was one of them. was really having a hard time deciding but i think that's the nail in the coffin, im booking now thank you!
@@Grizzleburrr Yes I am about to release a lot of new videos and I will re-cover this one and add a lot of new ones but I promise you will have a good time at Wise Owl Asakusa.. there are a few issues they are worth it for the good environment.
Hi! Thinking about staying here for my trip to Tokyo. I was wondering can you lock the capsules or how do you keep your stuff safe when away or sleeping?
Hey Issac! Unfortunately because Japan is known for being in the top 3 safest countries in the world especially for theft you wont find many places that have locks on areas that store belongings. They do have a camera system in the hallway and if anyone does steal from you they will be able to figure out who it is immediately as no one is allowed in the rooms outside of the people staying of which they have Passport ID's. I did talk to the staff at most hostel locations I have stayed at and at that point no thefts had taken place. I also have left my designer handbag at airports, bars, and restaurants before with cash in them and have never had anything stolen. I won't say theft doesn't happen in Japan but it very rare.
Hi can ask you a few questions about the millennial shibuya? does the millennial Shibuya have balconies if so how many? Do they have a fire escape if so do you know what floor its on? Can you access it from the elevator or do you have to get to it from stairs? I'm not sure if I'm asking this correctly but the balconies or balcony are they outward connect to the floors or are they level inward with the building? I heard there is 1 balcony located on the 3rd floor level inward and not sticking outward is this correct? Is it large enough for multiple people or small?
Oh my gosh! I thought I responded but just realized it didn't post! Sadly, No they don't have balconies.. They do have fire escapes though, I believe they go all the way up.. They do have a "smoking terrace" by the office area located out the fire escape door.. I think you can see it in this video :) ua-cam.com/video/m5BDB5FYmD0/v-deo.html I believe this is the balcony you are referring to as an inward one and that would be correct.
Yes, it is now at this point VERY expensive and Im so sad about that.. but the perks are rather incredible and it has been my favorite place to stay in.. though all my travels around the world.
Tokyo doesn't really have "party Hostels" in the way other countries do it.. but they have hostels with hipster bars attached to them.. You'll find a few of them like Unplanned, Gridz, and cocts is a unique one.. But as far as actually partying the night away at the hostel.. that isn't somthing youll find here.. what typically happens when you go out in Japan is you party until the next morning so people pre-game at the hostel.. meet eachother then go get ready and go out at like 10-11
@@hazelshostels Thank you, I'm Going to Shinjuku Next week for 10 days, You totally convinced me to stay in a Hostel as opposed to the hotels i was thinking were my only option.
Just got to Japan. I’ll stay here, thanks!

Can you recommend the best party hostel in Tokyo?

Was there a locker?
No the only storage is under the bed sadly. but it is pretty big!
