I remember early in my career as a trucker. I was asked When is your appointment? Appointment, are you a doctor? I was also told once that I was late. I said I can't be late, I just got here.
It’s interesting that you said that Opie has separation anxiety when he can’t see you,our dog is the same way so it didn’t sound goofy that’s a real condition
Around the 21:00 minute mark of this video, on the right side of the rock cut, as a joke, someone had stuck a pair of white knee-high rubber boots into a crack in the wall. With the toes sticking out, it reminded my daughters that a white booted witch had hit the wall headfirst. Whenever we headed up to Madison we always looked for them. The girls loved it. The road from Dubuque to Madison was a real nail biter before they put in the 4 lane.
Speaking of brokers, I was hurrying to get to my pickup one afternoon on a Friday. I called the broker and told them that I would get there 15 to 20 minutes past their load time. Broker put me on hold and came back a minute later and said he called and would load me. I got there and was told that the broker NEVER called. I finally got them to load me. I would have had to wait until Monday morning. Also delivered a brokered load to a food distribution center in Wisconsin that was a brokered load. Got to the gate before my appointment time and the guard at the gate asked me what I was doing there. Broker gave me the wrong date. Went back to truck stop close by and did a 34 hour reset while waiting to unload. Broker did pay detention pay.
