AS WE SPEAK CLUTCH JUST RELEASED ANOTHER RECORD OR STARTED ANOTHER TOUR.THY ARE RELENTLESS.I'VE SEEN THEM ONLY 8 TIMES AND EVERY SHOW IS BETTER THAN ANY ALBUM THEY EVER RELEASED.
I can listen to Neil all day long! I LOVE LOVE LOVE his voice! I was devastated last summer when he couldn't sing! Not that The Bakerton Group didn't still kick ass!! and Jean Paul is MY MAN!! Have seen them live 4x and counting...
Love it! Saw 'em on the Transnational Speedway Tour in like '93/94' (where they toured with Fear Factory and Sepultura!) and TONS since....one of the best out there!
I LOVE THIS BAND!!! Fuck it! I'm getting a tattoo. Clutch are by far the most consistent band out there. Be twenty years strong in no time. Damn. I'm getting old. Loved them their whole career. Neil and the devil, had a falling out A violation of contract, beyond a shadow of a doubt
@warmspit I have bought them all, some twice. First came vinyl and it wasnt bad but then we went to tape 8 track and then to cassette and now to plastic disk. All of these formats have failed. Since I now own the right to play these songs where is my place to do so when the format no longer functions? I recall the radioshack guy tossing the cd on the floor, stompin it abit and then with a smile playing it again... right...
@warmspit It's not theft. It's copyright and license violations. Theft is taking something from somebody, leaving the original owner at a loss. When you buy music, you don't own it. You just own the license, which pretty much just allows you to listen to it. Just trying to clear that up :) I hate when society tries to change the meanings of words. I think all music should have a "copyleft" license, but that's just me.
is it just me, or is this song about a guy who is dying from cancer, death is knocking on his door, and he just wants to smoke himself into oblivion until death beats down the door ?
@Rannik45715 Precisely! I found Clutch on the web about a year ago. I'm 35 and my reaction was, "where the hell have these guys been my whole life???". There's also a band called Samsara Blues Experiment. I never would have come across them either had it not been for the web. They're not as riff oriented and flat out just not as good as Clutch. They're a lot more towards the "stoner rock" end of the spectrum too but it's still way better than the shitpile being peddled by record company execs.
you saying that JP uses two bass pedals on this song, or the album "slow hole to China"? OR on this live video? Cause I can't hear no double-kicking...
@warmspit This is unreleased, can't buy it. I was at a show 2 weeks before "from beal st to oblivion" was released, everyone knew the worse to electric worry when they we're done with the song neil said "thank god for the internet" and had a pretty good laugh.
2:03 :D ahahahahah pretty sure Neil got all patriotic "in tongues" right there :) it is most definately "THEM" Neil and no, no we are not underestimating the extent of "THEIR" power but rather constantly underestimating that of our own. STRANGE COUSINS new cd Rocks...
Interesting, seeing as they repeatedly are referred to as one of the best live bands around. Everytime I've seen them, they've torn it up. To each his own, I guess. Maybe you saw them on an off night.
@Rannik45715 right...we never get to hear clutch on the radio in cleveland, always that stupid old played out shit, its like radio missed 20 years of music somehow and still plays 80s shit that i dont even care to hear... WE WANNA HEAR CLUTCH !
Interesting. I've always seen it as something about, how low-life pot smokers are treated vs. publicly known smokers like Willie Nelson, Bill Maher, Jack Black, Snoop Dogg/Lion and such.
yes! Hail the mighty mighty Clutch and then go watch ZEITGEIST MOVIE ya fux! :) Has the lion called your name yet? I hear it with every waking moment... Can you not feel it? The awakening is now Zeitgeist may be the beginning for many of you and all I can say is Welcome to the real world. Only smokes the wicked weed!!! If its them or me..... NOPE IT IS MOST DEFINATELY THEM.... Neil :)
Jake - I am very patient with the memory of an elephant :) fn demons...... did you know that to some ancient peoples the word demon daemon meant gaurdian? Like the gargoyles and such that are suppose to ward away bad spirits hmmm... so at some point, considering what they were gaurding etc etc in some societies certain demons were good :) z e i t g e i s t m o v i e
Please Jake, take that nonsense elsewhere... These guys are fucking awesome and Neil absolutely seems to concur with his chosen lyrics. Again, ZEITGEIST MOVIE & CLUTCH!!! REVOLUTION! Cant hear it? aint my fucking problem!

Live version is best in my opinion! 🤟
Now 2 years has past and The Black Keys are now a widely known band. Hopefully Clutch will get there too.

@warmspit I have bought them all, some twice. First came vinyl and it wasnt bad but then we went to tape 8 track and then to cassette and now to plastic disk.

right...
Might be because Willie Nelson and Immortal by Clutch were both written around the same time.
Tim's riff at 2:02 might just be his best one. Top 5 at the very least.
if willy says this one is ok, then its ok!
Fuck yeah baby!!
I wonder if Willie Rocks this song?
Killer!
so fucking epic
fuckin sweet dude, clutch rules!
From 2003 "Slow Hole to China"
His beard could be Vice. I'm pretty sure that beard has a life of it's own.
Yeah! I made 666th like!
Slow Hole to China remains one of the Best Clutch albums.
Yeah it's incredible really that an album of outtakes ends up being one of the best things they've ever done.
@@ross9735 Yes we are on the same page with that one.

is it just me, or is this song about a guy who is dying from cancer, death is knocking on his door, and he just wants to smoke himself into oblivion until death beats down the door ?
The opening guitar sounds just like the song" Burn" by The Cure
@Eeeleyes This is from "Slow hole to china"
@Rannik45715 precisely!
TIM SULT IS the man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not to mention it's a fucking awesome name
@mikeelia63 Damn he's good!
Cool to hear Neil's vocals without the effects on this one.
@skifeizzle You can buy it... ever heard of Slow Hole to China?
@warmspit - He did. He paid to get into the show, which is how artists make the greatest amount of money for their talents.

"Save your bullets tough guy....my disease does that for free"
What does Neil say at 2:02

You can get Blast tyrant anywhere. Slow whole to china at their shows.
Interesting, seeing as they repeatedly are referred to as one of the best live bands around. Everytime I've seen them, they've torn it up. To each his own, I guess. Maybe you saw them on an off night.
lmfao i wonder if he meant to say jack black booted demons XD
Haha.
It's too bad the uploader's name is what it is, because many of us Christians love us some Clutch.
@Rannik45715 right...we never get to hear clutch on the radio in cleveland, always that stupid old played out shit, its like radio missed 20 years of music somehow and still plays 80s shit that i dont even care to hear... WE WANNA HEAR CLUTCH !
@JerkingForJesus tool godess. lol. i know a couple of those.
@3Roel3 JP is one of the baddest of the asses.
@warmspit I've personally downloaded all their music, but I'm slowly buying all their albums anyway, mainly because I'm a whore for CD quality.
its their band let them do what they want to do.. dont be pigeonholing.. Clutch are Clutch mate!!
