I have a mast tour max and it hits so hard it's crazy. I'm going to have to buy something else to shade with I think. Not sure I'm just starting out. I got sick a few years ago and recently started tattooing. I need a liver transplant. So I know how it is to be sick bro. My mom died from same problem you have. She got breast cancer and was didn't know until stage 4. She had a 5% chance to live and she got rid of it and it came back 10 years later and got her. So keep your head up, she went through hell but beat it when they said there was no way. She was strong headed and told me she just wanted to see my sisters babies and my babies grow up. She got her wish, she just wanted to see what kind of people they would turn out to be, and remember her. I say babies but my sisters kids were twins and 7 years old, and mine were already 12 and 14. ALL 4 were boys and she saw what kind of men her grandchildren were. It's all about mental strength and you seem to have plenty. I wish nothing but the best for you and think you'll do just fine.

Does this mast tour pro have a faulhaber motor? Everywhere I've searched, even on the Dragonhawk website, it says the motor is "imported from Germany"- but no mention anywhere of faulhaber. I would assume if they used a faulhaber they would want to let it be known. I really wanted this pen but I'm leaning towards the CNC Q2 or Q3 because they specify that they have a Faulhaber motor.

They both run Faulhaber flat motors from what I can gather. My question is, are there any distinct build quality differences that jump out at you that may sway your choosing one over the other? I know you stated you aren't about doing head to head comparisons but I am looking to make a single purchase and want something that I know is going to hold up under extensive shop use while apprenticing. I have used the regular mast and find it to be ergonomically comfortable but I am not going to trust it for a daily driver in a shop environment. I am on a budget and can't really afford to dish out the money for an FK Irons or other top tier pen at the moment and even if I could afford one the question is what makes it better than a 200 dollar machine running a Swiss Faulhaber motor? I see the CNC with excellent reviews and like that they tell you for sure what company's motor it runs, that said the Dragonhawk machines have a mixed bag of reviews across their lineup and while it says German made motor is it a Faulhaber or is it random stuff and the German origin is used as a marketing cue over an Asian made motor? Figure if you have any time logged with both units that maybe you could shed some deeper light on suitability of use for a daily driver. Thanks and love the raw and uncut nature of your reviews.

@@tattootheoryDo you have any suggestions on voltages for lining and shading? With the regular mast pen, I have been lining at 6.5-8 volts depending on the cartridge configuration. Then for shading, I run at 4.5 to 6 volts depending again on the cartridge's needle configuration. That is using the Dragonhawk power supply that came in the kit with the pen. Sion Wins I’ve noticed it only starts with lower grouping cartridges in it. I use 9rs and up for lining so I might try the cnc machine see if that thing will push

@@thebearstreetballs i tried it with the dragonhawk mini supply and it worked properly from 3 volts to 10 without problem..I believe the problem is in the power supply and not in the cartridges..
