I share your love of the TPH. I carried my German made one daily for 20 years, then bought a stainless US made one I have carried since. I love them so much I couldn't pass up yet another one I found at a show. All function flawlessly with CCI mini mag.
Hi Bobby, When I was a dealer, found a ANIB blued TPH, made in Germany. Came with it all, little brown box, test target and 2 blued mags. Young fellow walking a show was selling it and knowing what it was and rare, being a PPK collector at the time, I snatched it for about $400 which seemed like a small fortune at the time! Since those days I sold all my ppk's and pp's pre ww2 commercial's, ww2 issues, special nazi craft union issue etc. Never regretted it, because my new interest was Colt M10903's and M1908's. The little ppk's had too much kick for me in .32 or especially .380 and with the bigger and heavier Colt/Browning 380, I could keep a can bouncing until out of shots. I kept my TPH! IMHO nothing equals it for deep cover hideaway other than a seecamp and it has all the Walther safety features which the Colt does not! The Colt is more of your hair trigger single action only, cocked and locked with internal hammer and grip safety but no firing pin block. Since I love my TPH and have it all the time, I do look online for some new info or open up my copy of "Great Combat Handguns" by Leroy Thompson to read his great section on the TPH's history and his test shooting. Thanks for sharing yours with the public! I do prefer the lighter weight of mine! Fortunately, I picked up one of the stainless mags new many years ago for a reasonable number, maybe $20-$30, don't remember exactly, so I have three mags and that makes me feel wealthy! haha Plus I see crazy numbers for the made in Germany examples but yes, who cares what its worth, I'll never sell it, I want to be buried with it in my sports car!!! Hi Bobby, I just received an email telling me that you loved my comment three years later! Whats up with that! Still have my German TPH! Like I said before, will never part with it! Too bad can’t seem to paste a picture of it here... I don’t know if you guys know this but the TPH is actually a shrunk down PP, not a PPK! This is why there’s no chamber loaded indicator. Actually can’t remember if there was an indicator in the PPK’s in .22 caliber. Think so!
I have a stainless one that I've had since the 80's. I don't shoot it often, so it's in mint condition with three magazines. I marvel at its beauty every time I take out and look at it.
I bought one when they first came out . It is the finest pocket pistol ever. Totally reliable , exceptionally accurate and can be carried everywhere. After the gun control act of 1968 Police Depts filled out waivers in droves to get these imported for undercover agents. I am on the process of transferring one I picked up in around 90 percent condition, for $419. Today that is a fair price . Walther made a huge mistake when they discontinued these. Gun to shoot, cheap to feed , and the best life insurance policy you cancarry in your pocket. I carried a US made Ppk 380 for years, o e of the first 500 off the assembly line. 200 percent reliable, and I some times carried the Tph as a backup. There is no excuse To go unarmed if you have the Tph
I watched this video a few years ago and just rewatched it again, today. I saw one of these little guns go for just over $1,000 on gunbroker, a couple months ago. The mags, if you can find one, are going for $150. I really wish they still made these little pistols. They are perfection.
I picked up a couple of the Triple k mags , around $40, with the Walther style floor plate , and they work fine. I won’t make any friends here , but when I picked up the used Tph, the guy I bought it from sold me two factory mags ,$75 for the pair. Initially had a problem with the mag release , but fixed that , and the second one is perking along. Someone should clone these pistols with an alloy frame.
@@Desperado3248: Absolutely. An aluminum alloy frame would bring this little gun down from about 16 oz to maybe 10 or 12 oz. Then, think of one with a polymer frame and an aluminum alloy slide. Could be done.
Nice review Bobby, Love your sense of humor I have same exact baby and I tell ya, mine is very reliable with high velocity, the secret of this pistol is the recoil spring, tweaking the power of it makes it shoot any type of ammo
Dude, in all of your videos you make this sound like such a cool gun. So after watching them a couple of years ago, I had to have one. You were right. Very cool, awesome gun.
They are really special,...congrats on your TPH,... Great guns,...now you know why I hype the little shooter,...no last shot slide lock freaks me a little but it would ruin the gun if it had one ,...have fun ,...get out and shoot it ,...and watch your grip it is known to slide bite beefy hands ,... Good luck to ya ,...
Bobby, in my case you are "preachin' to the choir"! I got my stainless .22 LR TPH from my Dad, and I absolutely love it! Mine likes CCI .22 Mini Mags, the 40 grain solid variety; however, all ammo shot really high, until I had a gunsmith friend mil 20 thousandths of an inch off the top of the rear sight; now it shoots dead on. Also, mine had issues on double action; most times, I would just get a "click." But Mike at M&M Gunsmithing (who used to work for Interarms for 15 years) was able to get it working perfectly. It is the coolest pocket pistol I own. I LOVE this gun! It's cool that it was my Dad's, so it's a family heirloom; but it's also a very unique gun that's just cool in its own right. As you said, "I LOVE this gun!" =D
I have a couple of these. Bought one about 1990 and the other about '93 or '94. Both of them were $325. That was the going price back then. It seemed like a heckuva lot back then, but I'm glad I spent it, now. I wouldn't part with either of mine, at this point. They're like unobtainium, now. Mine are different than Bobby's gun. They both like Remington Yellow Jackets and Vipers, both hyper-velocity bullets. Shoot them all day, without a single jam. Put a normal velocity bullet in them and they don't run at all. Super cool little pistols.
I kinda wish mine were more like yours, liking standard velocity ammo, instead of the hyper velocity stuff. The hy-vel ammo might be better self defense ammo, maybe. But the standard velocity stuff isn't as hard on the guns. They're well made little pistols, but any mechanical device will break eventually with too much punishment.
Yep,..all that slamming ,..sooner or later,.. I am fortunate mine runs on regular,... "Unobtanium",..lol,..I love that,..thanks for the comment and watching,..
Hi Bobby, I bought my TPH around the same time that you got yours and I share your enthusiasm. Mine likes almost any kind of decent.22 ammo and I have actually loaded six different brands into a mag at one time, the gun just shucked through them all. I've amazed friends by using this gun to knock down bowling pins from 25 yards. Hey did I say that I love this gun ?
Walther so needs to bring this back. They brought pack the PP, they can do it with this at their fort smith plant. Heck even Taurus re imagined the pt22 with the 22 tuc
Nice grouping! I'm gonna have to find me one of these. I have a Walther PPQ for home defense and range work, and a PPS 9mm that is great for CCW, but sometimes I want something even smaller, and this looks like a lot of fun to shoot on top of everything else.
I carried a Interarms Walther PPK for many years in .380, it was the first semi auto I ever owned bought in 1994. A couple of years ago I put Mr Walther to rest in my safe and replaced it with a Kimber Ultra Carry 2 in 9mm as my EDC. Haven't looked back since. Kimber is easily a superior gun. I own in excess of 20 handguns of various calibers, from .22 to .45 ACP. But nothing can replace the Kimber.
Love mine so much, I bought a nicer example that came with 3 factory mags. Own two now. Prob gonna get a German one for my third. They are kinda of addictive.
These little guys are deadly accurate and super fun to shoot! Obviously, there are superior EDC guns, but sometimes you can't always carry a larger pistol which makes the TPH a perfect fit!
I bought 2nd hand 15 years ago for 1,500 USD, gun is really expensive in my country (Thailand), just for collection purpose. It is surprisingly accurate and reliable but very difficult to find spare parts.
Thanks for the video! The TPH is pretty accurate, also over 20 m, limited only due to the short barrel and the corresponding short view line between the iron sights. And mags are expensive here in Germany, too, about 60 € in egun. Alternative TPH in 6,35 mm: probably less picky with ammo, but more expensive on training and less power.
I bought a new one back in the day. I told the owner of the shop that I would buy it if it would run with a full mag. He took it to their bullet catcher and click/bang stop/bang/stop/bang/stop. He walked back to the counter and gave it to his gunsmith who discovered the chamber was rough. He polished it out and it worked with stingers with the occasional missfire on d/a. I sold or traded it. Parts today are next to impossible to find.
Sonny Gunz Will this gun work reliably with Aquilla 60grn SSS ammo? I shot one through a 2x4 with a sightly longer barrel and it blew a hole the size of a dime out the back and fully imbedded sideways in the second 2x4. I think it clocked out of a NAA Black Widow in excess of 700 fps.
@Vengeful Symphony The Black Widdow would match well with the 90 (70?) gr Aqyila where the heavy, slow round has both time and length under preasure. However, the heavy thick rim had too many failures to ignite. I have lost track of my original old posts and forget which gun was the quardian. However, my favorite pocket gun of all time is the little KEL Teck .32. I got it tuned up for free and have not had a failure of any kind since. Several hundred uncleaned rounds! The similar 3AT was simply one enginering bridge to far! I am now 73 years old and live in a retiremen village that does not permit guns. But I miss my mouse gun in pocet every day!
in a defensive handgun beauty is in direct proportion to usefulness. Walther pistols are well designed and well executed. The TPH is true to the brand. .22 long rifle is an excellent rifle or handgun round for small game and plinking. The TPH is just perfect for carrying in the pocket. However it lacks the power for self-defense or the accuracy and user friendliness to hunt small game. Perhaps one could put it on one's key ring so the keys don't get lost. But one would require a permit to do so.
Cool video. I have a blue German manufactured one, which I love. But, I'm having trouble with jams. Wish mine fired as smoothly as yours. I bought it new for 250 in 1994'ish. I only bought it after a fellow cop had 2 delivered to him at our Department, and he didn't wanna buy 2. I'm still glad I bought it.
Wow ,..super cool,..thanks for sharing,..I suggest a new magazine,.. these guns just dont malfunction,..unfortunately they are expensive ,..stay diligent you can find mags,..it is worth it,..thanks again,...
Had the same problems, went to a gunsmith in Munich. After some days he gave it back, smiling, saying that he just disassembled and cleaned her thoroughly with an utrasonic cleaner. That´s done the job. Otherwise you could contact wolff gunsprings. But probably that shouldn´t be necessary. It can´t be bad, for it is written in the book: Walther doesn´t fail.
BB, sweet! Great video but you're "preachin' to the choir," man! My Dad had me buy him one just like yours (but with the black plastic grips) back in the 80s. He carried it in the pocket of his fishing vest. Before he passed away a couple of years ago, he gave the gun to me. Hence, it is a family heirloom, not to be sold. But I wouldn't sell it anyway; this gun is just too cool! I love it; it's my EDC; it's my church gun (yes, we take security at our church seriously; not just our security team, but many of the congregation carry). I guess each one is different; mine does prefer CCI mini mag solids; with those it will shoot all day without a hitch. Like you, I love this little gun and can't say enough good things about it...except that I wish they would bring it back! Thanks for the video. Take care, dave
Wow that is cool.. I enjoyed that... Love to hear this... Your Dad had good taste... I still have the black plastic grip sides for mine.,,. Iconic,,,,, enjoy your TPH and thanks !!!!
Hey Charles, sorry I did not see this sooner (I need to get on youtube more often); yes, we are most likely distant cousins; I hope you are enjoying your TPH as much as I am mine. Take care :)
Just picked one up yesterday. Paid 400.00 and got the original box, target, manuel, one spare mag and two bxs of cci velocetor. Plus three spare springs. Recoil main and pin. Shoots flawlessly with cci standard and high rounds, including the velocetors. Not so with winchester plinki g rounds though. Rims to thick for reliable ingnition. The Omark boys are about the best. Anyway love the Tph, cheers.
Genesis23OPB The CCP has a long history of problems. It’s simply a fact that the Umarex manufactured guns aren’t at the same level of quality as the Walther Ulm plant made ones. No offense. You can tell which is which by the proof marks. Antler = Ulm. Not saying your individual gun isn’t good however.
I LOVE mine however I replaced it for actual carry with a KelTec P-32 because the TPH magazine floorplates are FRAGILE, and I cannot find the replacement floorplates anywhere.
Looks a lot more accurate than bobcat Beretta 22. Have you shot the bobcat 22? I saw another video showing walther ppk/s have you heard about? What you think? I ll look for buy one like yours.
Love it, just got one will be my summer carry. Ordered up a Kramer holster as well. How do you carry it. Decocked with the safety off round in the chamber?
3:30 Re: counting rounds to avoid empty mag dry fire. My 21 Bobcat is same way, what I do now is use a CB22 as bottom round in mag. When I hear the softer report from that round I know it's empty. Have to manually remove cb casing since not powerful enough to self eject but that's no prob w/tip up barrel. And better than dry firing every time mag is empty. Like that TPH, have to keep my eyes open. Guess it was replaced by PPK/S-22.
I’ve had my TPH since 1980 and I’ve never seen a stainless version. I only have one mag and I’d sure like to have another one but they’re just not available....
@@Gunsandfun1961 I'm back three years later Bobby, and I forgot to mention that I see that we both share the same passion for guns and drums, and they're German!
I carry a PPK/S and I love it. My wife is looking to carry and she love mine, but it's too heavy for her to carry. I want to get her a semi made of metal and I love walther, would this be a good ccw for her as far as weight is concerned?
Got mine in the early 80's and almost sold it but backed out at the last minute. Mine likes to eat CCI mini-mags and jams every time on standard velocity .22's
i been carrying a Seecamp 32acp, no safty or bs, just grab and shoot, i also rock a Colt Mustang 380 but its a tad bit bigger but its a real shooter. Nev seen this little Walther, if i ome accross one i guess ill grab it.
You know I have a tiny fn 1906 and I love that little gun but my bodyguard 380 is lighter and has more punch and is almost as small but does weigh less so that's what I carry. The new pocket guns are just lighter because of polymer frames.
Very nice and I've got the same grips (good taste) Mine shoots great too and just about anything. I've always wanted one in 25 acp but can't scratch up enough $$$
+Carrie Keller Thanks Carrie ,.. I basically did,..because of the fixed barrel,.. with the magazine removed, pull down on the trigger guard, then pull slide to the rear,.raise and remove, ,.. Do you have TPH,.? If this doesn't help ,..I will try to do you a video,..thanks BB
Very cool pistol my friend. I know I'd like something bigger but I'll tell you this I sure wouldn't want to be shot with a 22 either. LOL Nice gun my friend.
Iver Johnson TP22 .22lr Walther clone. Good: Same size as the Walther, weighs less, 7+1, double/single with firing pin block safety, one third the cost and not even ammo sensitive. Bad: No longer in production and getting rather rare, as are the magazines now going for about $75. They also made a .25 acp version but I have never seen one that worked in .25.
TPH came before Iver Johnson T22. All the made in Germany guns were blued. Couldn’t import them after 1968 Gun Control Act. American company’s reproduced them in Stainless. Good gun.
@@Gunsandfun1961 I managed to find one on armslist and had it shipped today. Can't wait for it to get here. I hope it runs as well as yours does because there's really nothing else on the market that fits this niche other than maybe the beretta 21a which I don't like the look or operation of.
A technique I learned from a fellow shooter,...for me it stabilizes the sight picture,..controls recoil better and just gives me a stronger grip,...I shoot like this with most of my favorite semi autos although it will not work well on certain guns,..for example my browning Hi power will not function with that resistance on the slide,..it causes failure to feeds,.also forward controls like slide locks and de-cockers sometimes make it un practical. My Glocks shoot fine with the thumb on the slide and my low bore axis CZ PO9 seems to be made for this grip,..it is a little un nerving because you think the slide will bite,.... but try it sometime it might change the way you shoot,..thanks for your question,...
hey so i just found one and had to buy it! i did everything is clean it fires great dis assembles and assembles nicely.. however when i engage the safety the hammer does not release i have to release it manually... any thoughts on what i can do to fix that? not a big just operates like a 1911 now
Wow ,.. I am puzzled,. I have only handled mine and it drops the hammer when I push the safety on.Sounds safe enough for you seem like a good gun handler , but still Hmmm,.I cannot answer this,...But WOW ,..you have a prize possession,.. either way awesome!.. I would love to see it,..? Old? New ?Stainless ? Blued? Anyway good luck,....
hey yea. just wish it functioned like it was supposed to but the rareity outways the defect. plus the people at the gunshop said it functioned like a 1911 and I had to manually decock(obviously they do not know better) haven't fired it yet heading to the range sunday its the nickel with black plastic will eventually swap out the orginal plastic for some sandlewood handles much like yours.. I already am in love with it and it will be my daily carry
as for the date of manufacture not sure.. I'm assuming not new lol but I couldn't tell ya id love to figure out more about it.. case and 2 mags I paid 560++
Can't speak for the TPH, but in a walther ppk/s (which is probably very similar) there is a little lever attached to the frame that, when the saftey is engaged, is pushed down. When the lever is pushed down, it releases the hammer. If you remove this lever, you can engage the safety without the hammer dropping. My hunch says a previous owner either removed this lever or it has been worn down enough that the safety does not push it down when engaged. With the gun unloaded you can remove the slide. Cock the hammer, and look for the lever that, when pressed down, releases the hammer. There is a good chance it's missing.
.22 for edc... I dunno. I really have been considering it. .22 is lethal, no doubt, but there are certainly more effective rounds in a comparable, reliable package.
Bobby Brown shot placement is everything with a .22. it's about all you got. All kidding aside, I am considering a .22 for a pocket gun. Run some hot, ball ammo through it. I really dig this walther..
Yes there are James. With .22 you better be a crack shot in a really tense situation or you're a dead man. Even .380 is borderline underpowered in my opinion. A big person on crack or meth attempting to rob or kill you is going to shake off a .22 like a bee sting. Get yourself a 9mm or greater in hollow points. As a back-up gutt buster maybe .22 is effective. But as a primary EDC? Never happen...
🔵 If you have wide-hands you're liable to experience considerable slide-bite from this pistol, my advice would be to fire at least 15 rounds from it before buying one.
Wow someone who admits carrying a .22. I’m so sick of keyboard warriors preaching less than 380 is useless. They all think they are gonna battle ISIS at a little league game
Now thats funny,... but true,... The element of surprise and reliability of this little shooter makes it a great little self defense gun,...thanks for watching,..
Well I owned a PPK,..and the TPH is considerably smaller and lighter,...and in my case more reliable,..my PPK had issues, but your right about the 380 being more powerful,...thanks for watching,...
Maybe I don't know what I am talking about but interarms was the importer of the german made one. What this guy has is I believe the smith and Wesson licensed manufactured one from US. The german is a much much better gun. The german runs about %1500
They are pricy... And my G42 has taken its place,,, it served me well for years as a carry but now it is a safe queen,,, I paid 400 bucks for mine new back in the day...thanks for watching and commenting,.,,

These little guys are deadly accurate and super fun to shoot! Obviously, there are superior EDC guns, but sometimes you can't always carry a larger pistol which makes the TPH a perfect fit!
I couldn't have said that better myself......and I totally agree 👍..... thanks......
The slide spring is probably semi worn out which is why standard velocity works best for you.
Get a new spring and that should change.
Alright,..thanks for that,...
I feel the same way about my FN Browning .25. Both guns have very good reputations and can rapid fire without jamming.
I bought 2nd hand 15 years ago for 1,500 USD, gun is really expensive in my country (Thailand), just for collection purpose. It is surprisingly accurate and reliable but very difficult to find spare parts.
WOW..... spare parts...... even magazines are hard to find anywhere..... thanks 👍
Sweet pocket protection.
+628DirtRooster Indeed,.. pockets are safe,..
Wow,..thanks for that,...I love mine ,...
Actually, the 25 ACP in a TPH is marginally more powerful than the .22 LR, as referred in the owners booklet.
Surprised yours doesn’t like high velocity ammo. Mine likes it and Stingers especially
Thanks for sharing.....
thanks for posting...glad to see the dog is back...a hens tooth recently sold on ebay for $200
+martywhitevan Lol,.. I knew I could count on you,..!!!!
It's absolutely gorgeous!!!!!
Thanks ,..I think so too,.....
I know a guy with one in mint condition with 2 mags. Not sure how much he wants for it though. Very cool gun! Thanks for the video.
Sonny Gunz
Will this gun work reliably with Aquilla 60grn SSS ammo? I shot one through a 2x4 with a sightly longer barrel and it blew a hole the size of a dime out the back and fully imbedded sideways in the second 2x4. I think it clocked out of a NAA Black Widow in excess of 700 fps.
Sonny Gunz did you buy it?
@Vengeful Symphony
The Black Widdow would match well with the 90 (70?) gr Aqyila where the heavy, slow round has both time and length under preasure.
Nice to see some steel on a pocket pistol....Sweeeeeet....
+Scott F. SS baby,..lol,... thanks,..
Great gun, Love anything Walther!
in a defensive handgun beauty is in direct proportion to usefulness.
Thanks will do BB; I'm shopping now.
I just had to re-watch your video...great stuff! :)
Hey Charles, sorry I did not see this sooner (I need to get on youtube more often); yes, we are most likely distant cousins; I hope you are enjoying your TPH as much as I am mine. Take care :)
yess, she is with the Astra 7000 togheter in the same caliber the best pocket pistol
👍 agreed
Just picked one up yesterday. Paid 400.00 and got the original box, target, manuel, one spare mag and two bxs of cci velocetor. Plus three spare springs. Recoil main and pin. Shoots flawlessly with cci standard and high rounds, including the velocetors. Not so with winchester plinki g rounds though. Rims to thick for reliable ingnition. The Omark boys are about the best. Anyway love the Tph, cheers.
I am currently infatuated with all things walther.even clones.
Stay away from the Umarex produced Walthers, like the CCP and P22. They don't deserve the Walther name.
@@stopthephilosophicalzombie9017 no idea what you are talking about, my P22 works excellent and as far as i know, the CCP does too.
Gotcha ,,, I know what you mean on the TPH floor plate.... thanks for watching....
Yep ,..;)
3:30 Re: counting rounds to avoid empty mag dry fire. My 21 Bobcat is same way, what I do
now is use a CB22 as bottom round in mag. When I hear the softer report from that round
I know it's empty. Have to manually remove cb casing since not powerful enough to self
eject but that's no prob w/tip up barrel. And better than dry firing every time mag is empty.
Like that TPH, have to keep my eyes open. Guess it was replaced by PPK/S-22.
Hey thanks that's a good idea,.,.
You can also use a yellow drywall anchor (#4 size, I think.)
Great idea !
I’ve had my TPH since 1980 and I’ve never seen a stainless version. I only have one mag and I’d sure like to have another one but they’re just not available....
They are hard to find... 😢
@@Gunsandfun1961 I'm back three years later Bobby, and I forgot to mention that I see that we both share the same passion for guns and drums, and they're German!
@@tmaddrummer Hey brother....I still have a set of 65 Sonors.... they are pretty rough now but I will have them till I croak..... 😂 Rock on
I carry a PPK/S and I love it. My wife is looking to carry and she love mine, but it's too heavy for her to carry. I want to get her a semi made of metal and I love walther, would this be a good ccw for her as far as weight is concerned?
Yea I love it ,,, ....should carry well,,,,
Nice piece, never seen one before
+BHPfan26 Thanks for checking it out,..
Beautiful, he is like mine!
Got mine in the early 80's and almost sold it but backed out at the last minute. Mine likes to eat CCI mini-mags and jams every time on standard velocity .22's
Great gun... thanks 👍
i been carrying a Seecamp 32acp, no safty or bs, just grab and shoot, i also rock a Colt Mustang 380 but its a tad bit bigger but its a real shooter. Nev seen this little Walther, if i ome accross one i guess ill grab it.
I love the seecamp... Thanks for watching...
You know I have a tiny fn 1906 and I love that little gun but my bodyguard 380 is lighter and has more punch and is almost as small but does weigh less so that's what I carry. The new pocket guns are just lighter because of polymer frames.
Agreed.., steel is out plastic is in,...lol,,,, thanks . I love my G42 and my Kahr CW.....
Very nice and I've got the same grips (good taste) Mine shoots great too and just about anything. I've always wanted one in 25 acp but can't scratch up enough $$$
Thanks for that.,, I would like a TPH in 25 also... Great little gun...,
Beautiful gun.
Thanks.....
Enjoyed the history on this edc Bobby. Nice pocket gun and shooting.
+ITHINKUREALESUK Thanks Gil,...
Sweet looking pistol!
+Rich4150 Thanks Rich,..
Great video about a great gun
Indeed.... thanks 👍
Guns and drones are a very good combination in my opinion
Hey thanks Nate,..
Beautiful pistol😍
Mine only likes CCI mini mags. I haven't found anything else that works. It is too ammo specific.
Yep you are right....
that's really cool little pistol
+Gun Enthusiast Thanks GE,..
Can you show the complete break down and re assembly in detail?
+Carrie Keller Thanks Carrie ,.. I basically did,..because of the fixed barrel,.. with the magazine removed, pull down on the trigger guard, then pull slide to the rear,.raise and remove, ,.. Do you have TPH,.? If this doesn't help ,..I will try to do you a video,..thanks BB
Seecamp makes a nice pocket pistol you can get .32 or 380 its a lot smaller too
Yea.. I think they are pretty cool...thanks,.,
@@Gunsandfun1961 what are some brands of 22s and grain you would recommend for this gun? Nice video got me interested in this caliber.
The 380 is like a bomb going off in your hand. And neither have sights.
This is one of the few DA/SA pistols that can be pocketed.
Very cool pistol my friend. I know I'd like something bigger but I'll tell you this I sure wouldn't want to be shot with a 22 either. LOL Nice gun my friend.
+De Eagle Yep, thanks,...
Good clip. Thank you.
Thanks,...
Thanks for that,,, I would love to get one ....
C. Sarver I have a I J 25 acp works fine ,no problems.
@@dudemcx1077 You got a good one, I had two and neither would fire two rounds in a row...
TPH came before Iver Johnson T22. All the made in Germany guns were blued. Couldn’t import them after 1968 Gun Control Act. American company’s reproduced them in Stainless. Good gun.
Have you shot cci quiet in this your pistol? Wonder if the cci will cicle
Hmmm.,,no but I want to....good to know if they will or won't,,,, thanks for that....
beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
Thank you,...
Can you run the magazines WITHOUT the plastic extension? Is there a steel floor plate under it?
You know Cade I replaced a broken one once a long time ago and I am reasonably sure the plastic extension is the floor plate...
@@Gunsandfun1961 I managed to find one on armslist and had it shipped today. Can't wait for it to get here. I hope it runs as well as yours does because there's really nothing else on the market that fits this niche other than maybe the beretta 21a which I don't like the look or operation of.
@@Cherokie89 I think you will be happy with it,,, Good luck luck..,,
4:47 Why do you press your thumb against the slide?
Blued? Anyway good luck,....
hey yea. just wish it functioned like it was supposed to but the rareity outways the defect. plus the people at the gunshop said it functioned like a 1911 and I had to manually decock(obviously they do not know better)
haven't fired it yet heading to the range sunday
its the nickel with black plastic will eventually swap out the orginal plastic for some sandlewood handles much like yours.. I already am in love with it and it will be my daily carry
as for the date of manufacture not sure.. I'm assuming not new lol but I couldn't tell ya
id love to figure out more about it.. case and 2 mags I paid 560++
There is a good chance it's missing.
sweet little pistol

What caliber is this? Thanks.
22 l r
was the design inspired from the makarov or vice versa?
+Mystic Insight Hmmm,...great question,..I am gonna say the Makorov ?,..I will research this,..thanks,..
The design was inspired by it's big brother, the Walther PPK. That's all it is, a downsized version of James Bond's carry pistol.
First was the Walther PP in 1929. Makarov was created in 1945.
.22 for edc... I dunno. I really have been considering it. .22 is lethal, no doubt, but there are certainly more effective rounds in a comparable, reliable package.
Yes you are right ,.I love my G42,..thanks for watching,..
Shot placement is everything,..lol,..maybe so,.I love my Glock G42,..thanks,.
Bobby Brown shot placement is everything with a .22. it's about all you got. All kidding aside, I am considering a .22 for a pocket gun. Run some hot, ball ammo through it. I really dig this walther..
It is super reliable ,.great gun,.. great pocket fun,..thanks buddy,..

Rimfire for self defense? No, never. 25 ACP sucks, but it is centerfire.

I actually love Walther pistols in general. And if I'm completely honest, I genuinely don't mind a bit of blood.... under certain circumstances. But yeah, not when it comes to firing a (admittedly quality-made) small pistol.
Russian MP-441 (combat PSM in .25 auto caliber) better!
