good god that was beautiful. awesome job! killer "Res", just fabulous looking Video. so Lush and Rich in Color. and great landscapes while flying such a wonderfully simple, gorgeous little Aircraft, the Venerable 'ol Piper Cub. A+ job!
Can you tell me what kind of airplane these are, a piper cub? Is a super cub faster or different? I can name just about any kid of car at a glance but when it comes to planes I don't know anything. Great video by the way, it looked amazing when you took it out of the hanger. I need to get a plane and get up in the air just like you guys.
Wow! What a beautiful video. I fly a Cessna Skylane, bit someday hope to get a Husky and fly in Utah, where I go regularly. It would be need to see it in the Winter with the snow on the red rocks. The takeoff distance on these planes featured are outrageous. Probably 150-200 ft of grass lightly rolled on. Good music, too.
Great shots. Especially like the flying footage going through the canyons. I would have chosen different music however. It makes a big difference. For example, download the theme music from Dances With Wolves (The John Dunbar Theme) and play that music over your footage. Huge difference. Nice clip.
The Husky airframe is based on the Piper Super Cub, so it is quite similar. "Cub" is often used to refer to a lot of different airplanes, though they aren't all that different. In my opinion, it takes an experienced pilot to really tell the differences; I don't find either type noticeably easier to fly. The main difference I've noticed in the ones I've flown is the horsepower, and that varies by airplane, not necessarily by model or type.
The yellow one in the opening hangar shot is a super cub. The red/gray one and the yellow one in the rest of the video are carbon cubs. They look the same from a distance but the super and carbon cubs are different. Might want to google them for more info. Thanks for your nice comment.
Really nice video!!! Used to drive a C180 in AK flying tourist and hunters BC. Now living in CO thinking of moving to UTAH looks like sweet flying to me!. Thanks for posting
Magnificent video..... Incredible views of Utah CanyonLands - most of them accesible only by small aircraft. So different from our green, flat countryside (Uruguay)....
Ya..well, where do I start...with a thumbs up, scrib, and fav. Now, their are the "be's" and then their are the "wanna be'" I wanna be hanging out with you guys!! Killer views, awsesome airplanes and a sweet element of Cubbies..do you hear me knocking?? see ya soon, thanks for the vid, excellent quality!
I don't fly a Cub or Husky so not sure about your question. The site backcountry org has lots of pilots that fly these planes. You can discuss your question there and will receive lots of input. Steve
Looks pretty awesome to me; lovely little hangout there in beginning of roll! I'm just an ordinary pilot trying to get around in all the snow and shit up here on The Rock Northeast Canada, NL . Envy you guys! Cheers .
never flown a husky but i own a carbon cub ss and its easy to fly, hard to fly well like the original J3, ive got enough time on it i can put it anywhere
Nice height for seeing every thing, the take off length is amazing on the supercub what is it like 50 feet? a friend of mine has a bi plane that he flys though the grand cayon.
Love it! Someday I want to be right there with you guys! I'm working on getting my PPL out of Glenwood Springs, CO. Would love to fly with you guys someday!
I heard you get more pull and lighter with a 2 blade, smother operation and more ground clearance with a 3 blade. Other things to consider as well depending on your needs. I recommend BackcountryPilot Org website They have an active blog with lots of info on this subject. Search for your topic and/or start a new string. Lots of other info too.

Nicely done video. Beautiful cubs.
Very nicely done! Love the touch and go on the road next to the cliff over the river.
depends a lot on how old. new carbon cub is about 170k.
Awesome scenery and nice planes to fly.
Such smooth landings! Thank you, guys.
What is your flaps extended rotate speed? You were able to use virtual no runway distance. Very impressive!
Wow, nice vid and outstanding area. Happy landings ...

What strip are you landing at 3:24?
Great music , Booker T n the MG’s Houston Texas band. Beautiful scenery, dang I need a cub
Nice video, thanks.
The Dances with Wolves theme is slow and stodgy. The Booker T music is light and fun.
Incredible landscape - I love traveling around Utah.
