But to charge the batteries, the electricity from the grid are not too clean (cole, nuclear etc). The IC engine is not at its most efficient because it has to run from 650 to 7000 rpm. But with a full electric car with an on board generator, that would be completly different. The IC engine is than made for 1 rpm, where it is at its most efficient. There is no infrastructure for EV cars compared to traditional gasoline. Plus the power grid isn't ready. For example in China they use battery swap by NIO and other companies to swap the entire battery out in about 3 minutes. No need to even get out the car.

I feel Hybrid is the way to go. Full ev is just trash more of a hey look at me thing. But hybrids have the best of both worlds. Had one the other day someone over tightened the filter on. leaking oil all over. How ever I could move the vehicle still with the Hybrid motor as long as i did not activate the gas motor

You need a diesel excavator to mine for lithium. It's then transported on a cargo ship that runs on bunker fuel. The EVs are then transported to the dealer by a diesel truck. And they'll be towed by a diesel when they break.

I don’t see this at all. Per usual Americans thinking they’re the only piece of land in the world, and it’s so funny. Infrastructure is only growing in the UK, Eastern Asia, China, etc. maybe it isn’t popular in YOUR 5 population town but everywhere I drive I see new Tesla stations popping up practically overnight.
