Tiempos and Predators are two boots from completely different categories. It would be more fitting to compare a predator with a phantom gt or a tiempo with a copa sense.

absolutely, that's why he feels the tiempo more comfy than preds. He should've known this issue as he also is a boot nerd, I think he make that comparison for the video script to make they draw

Don’t matter lol. If a boot is uncomfortable, then it’s uncomfortable. At the moment Nike is just simply killing it in the boot market. The only thing adidas has over it right now is the speed flow over the mercs. And even that is debatable.

I have always wanted to see which brand makes better products but didn't want to spend the money and time and then we have amazing UA-camrs like kieran who make these videos that make my day

As a GK who loves Nike I gotta say, the Adidas gloves have always had the edge over Nike. It’s been superior for years now in the GK area. However, there’s a lot of lesser known brands I’ve been trying out. Elite Sport and GripMode both make amazing gloves!
Stanno had some great gloves as well
I think nikes cheaper gloves are better than the mercurials, like vapourgrip 3’s are my favourite

I've actually had the opposite experience, ive had a Nike Strike mid price ball that has felt fantastic and has lasted very well for over 2 years, when all my adidas balls last less than a year. I do prefer the designs for adidas balls though.
yea i had the fifa world cup 14 ball its lasted for 3 years in a good form but sadly i lost my football
I guess today on the market for a neutral buyer, it probably is a pretty level playing field, but history tells a different tale of Nike dominating, and I think all the marketing they did is what cemented their legacy as the Kings of football.

History tells that Adidas are by far the dominant force. They’ve had so many revolutionary products, the 2 most obvious being the introduction of interchangeable studs in the 1950s and the Predator in the 1990s. Don’t forget who has made every World Cup ball since the 70s/80s as well
You do realise that the generic black and white hexagonal panelled football, you know one of the most iconic pieces of design *ever* and the defining icon of of 20th century football was designed by Adidas?
Adidas literally invented what modern football is, Nike are just marketing (which is another word for lying) for slave made rubbish 👍🏻

Yeah I have really wide feet and Adidas fit so much better. Size 9 Adidas fit me perfectly but need to size 10 for Nike, so have only ever bought them once.

I bought football cleats from nike like a month and a half ago and just 2/3 weeks later I started to see that one of the pairs of the new nike cleats had the biggest hole under the shoe, great company but I feel like adidas lasts a little bit longer and it fits better for football.
This man. So genuine. I honestly thought at the beginning, he wouldn't draw them both, he wouldn't try to equal them out. But they did. And then he expresses the fact that he didn't want them to.
I can really appreciate this man's work. Unlike so many youtubers, his stuff is actually honest. When he uploads, you know you're getting a completely unbiased, genuine video.

Feel like you should’ve deffo tested the Mercurial Elite vs the X Speedflow.1/X Ghosted.1 since they’re both speed boots. I’ve always worn Mercs so whenever I tried the Nemeziz or Predators they feel horrible on my feet, I just bought a pair of F50 X Ghosted and they feel amazing
You should train with a heavy/hard ball for a bit to see if it affects your kicking skills overall
Ive always worn Mercurials but this season took a risk and bought the speedflows, I think as a speedboot Adidas took the W, thats regarding a specific type of boot tho!
for kits shouldn't you.. idk, test the quality of the materials, the water absorption, the weight, etc instead of choosing which one you think looks cooler by thinking of two or three examples by head? lol
on the goalkeeper gloves he should have used nike vapor grip 3 instead of mercurials, i am a goalkeeper and i have tried both but for a pair of nikes win over a pair of adidas on every single model exept for the mercurials where adidas are slyghtly better
love the video but i think you should have compared the nike phantoms to the predators because they have texturing like the preds, and the tempos are thicker and heavier and more suit center backs

Kieran the last time I saw your channel you were at around 15k subs, it’s so fascinating going back to you Chanel and realising how well and far you have gotten, it just brings a warm and nostalgic feeling in my heart. I can definitely agree with him on the test with the match balls because when ever I use a Nike ball to shoot it always feels very heavy so it’s a very big surprise to see that the Nike match ball ways less.

As a keeper I do prefer Adidas then Nike I think that the ball is easier to catch and kick in but shirts wise probably would go Nike to look at
Previously owned the phantom Gt as I have wide feet and felt horrible experience with blisters so I went for the speedflow+ and the fit and feel is the best I've ever worn
Please elaborate, as a wide footed player as well, this just doesn't sit will For Us 🤔. Phantom GTs are intended for wide footed players and SpeedX are for narrow footed players.
What is the best one for kicking ? I was having trouble deciding on which cleats I should by for best kicking so I bought Nike was that a good decision?

From my understanding and my purchases, Nike has the better Shoes and Adidas has the better Balls. As far as goalie gloves are concerned I would given them a 50/50.

Much more criteria comes into determining how good or bad a football boot is than just comfortably. Like material; how much protection they provide, and also the durability of the boots themselves.

Almost all sport shoes are dominated by Nike, I use Nike shoes and Adidas equipment because it is what I prefer

Nice vid Kieran, but if you are gonna try Predators from Adidas, why dont you compare them with Phantom GT? X Speedflow to Mercurial, Copa Sense to Tiempo. You compared two very different boots so thats why feel and everything was different. Predators need few days to break in, while Tiempos don't need that much as its leather boot...

When doing football boot test, u need a category, like testing speed boots, u need the Mercs and the speed flow, for control, predator and gt, for leather, copa and tiempo.
This really needs to be revisited especially with the top end boot. Needs more than 1 category leather and plastic or whatever it is called
I think for the football boots a good comparison would have been the tiempo vs the new copas because they both leather so have a similar fit and feel. The predators laceless not the best boots

You have tested 2 diffrent boots preds v tiempo might aswell of done mercurial vs pred to make it a fair test
For the tests you should have used new gloves / new balls as certain items wear or weather down over time , for the gloves the grip becomes worse over time and the Nike gloves have been in your possession longer then the adidas gloves , the footballs also have the similar reasons
Hi I'm a gk and if you want to do a grip test on gloves, pour an equal amount of water on the gloves because when they are dry they can have different grip.

If anything the Phantom should have been compared to the Predator
for those wondering, I have both of the new Mercurial vapor 14 elite and the X speedflow.1. As a guy who has had nike boots for literally all my life till now, I can confirm that the X is better than the Mercurial.

I have Nike Tiempo legend 9s and they are so light and amazing best cleats I’ve ever had they are pricey tho but they are fo sure worth
Speed boot battle !!! Also would of been nice to see an even battle. Tempo and Copa would of made sense because they both have leather. Preds vs gt and mercs vs speedflow
It’s not really that even. Tiempo and Copa both definitely have leather but the Copas have such little leather (quality isn’t even that good) that it’s more of a memory foam boot than anything. Pred Edges are so awful it’s not even funny how much better the gt is, a more fair fight would be the freaks but even those are hands down better than the gts, and Mercs are the only true speedboot, Speedflow is more of a control boot but both are the only equalish boots when compared. (Though I personally prefer the Speedflow cause the Carbitex insert is just such amazing technology that actually works instead of being a gimmick)
You should try puma stuff as well. I have puma future cleats and they are AMAZING I love them so much.
