I like the way they grill meat in a jar, grilled meat like this is rarely seen in Vietnam. Usually they grill on an iron grill or roast on a charcoal stove.
It's easy to love the banh mi, when everything is perfect it's a thing of beauty. Fresh baked bread, crunchy veg, savory meat, and meaty pate. Didn't like pate before my first banh mi, still iffy on it beyond the context of banh mi. But it's where it belongs on my favorite sandwich
