Appreciate the video. I was struggling connecting my AXIS M3058-PLVE to my Hikvision NVR. I was using the AXIS protocol but was not connecting. Interesting enough I have six other AXIS cameras connected under AXIS protocol with no issue at all. After following your instruction on the video and creating an ONVIF profile, I was finally able to connect it to my NVR. Thank you!

Do you have any idea how to make Axis cameras record by movement on NVR Hikvision?

hi , very interesting video, but could you make that same detailled explanation for an old axis like your P1365

I just picked up 10 brand new axis IP cameras. The model is discontinued but I don't think that matters. I have a hikvision NVR and was watching your video to try to connect my cameras but I can't access the camera from the browser or NVR. The camera is brand new and has address of 0.90. The camera pings correctly but only 5-6 times after plugging it into POE but then stops for unknown reason. I've tried powering the camera through POE on the NVR and I've also tried powering it with POE on my Cisco switch. I'm on the correct network (.0) but can't seem to access the camera no matter what I do. Thoughts?

Couple of things you can check... are you trying one camera at a time? If you connect multiple cameras at the same time to a switch they will have an IP conflict if using the default 192.168.0.90. Second... Cisco switches use a different protocol to communicate with the devices, if you are using a manageable switch check the interface to make sure the LLDP protocol is on. Third... make sure you are in the same network segment with no VLANS. Its usually very simple to connect a single camera and a PC to a PoE switch and get it up and running. As soon as you have access to the camera you change the IP so it won't conflict with the next one you will plug to the switch... or you plug a router to the same switch to give the cameras IPs automatically.

@@SmartDevicesChannel I finally got it figured out. I was connecting 1 camera at a time and seen 0.90 ping but only like 6 times and the camera would drop the ping and time out. I totally forgot my router was set to DHCP and would assign an IP and why I kept losing 0.90 lol
