Just the fact that it took months for Mike and his team to clear the debris and he still kept at it is impressive to me. What utter tenacity to explore.
Well, now I am beyond in awe of what these guys have done! I have always been impressed with the level cave explorers are at but, WOW! MIKE AND CREW!!! Just amazing!! Thanks for laying lines for us rookies!

Mike Young is an absolute legend. And yes, what a humble, quiet, thoughtful guy. I love when those traits exist in the same person. Just fantastic. Also, Gus, this was one of your best setups for a great reaction from Woody. 'Would you do it for a week? What if it was a month?' Priceless.😂
This is literally one of them dives that one Diver panics and the whole teams life could be at risk, such a gr8 calm group of professionals they are, amazing to see Mike look that young also lol...
Having squeezed myself through a 12x12 access hole in dry land and how I had to struggle with it there's no way I'm doing it underwater. And to do it not knowing what's on the other side is insane. Takes a special kind of person to explore these types of things, I'm not that person at least underwater, hats off to those who are. I'll stick to open water and caverns for my diving.

The fascinating thing about this is Mikes progression. It's amazing how he found a thing he loved and did well and just stuck with it. Super interesting to track. So many people find a niche, stay a bit, and bail. But he's still in it.
This is one of the coolest videos I've watched in a long time. If it were 12 hours long I'd happily watch every minute of it. More Mike Young reaction content, please!
This is incredible! To have the patience to continue with a menial task for months to see IF things change is some serious determination. The no-mount sounds like Mike. After hearing some of his stories, none of this is shocking. Mike is amazing.
I'm just imagining the little work wheels in the back of Mike Young's mind helping to create the KISS rebreathers during the months of digging gravel. The Mike's and various people they dive with are always high value viewing. Thanks Woody and Gus!
I enjoyed this video. Mike Young seems so calm, thoughtful, and persistent while exploring this cave. Definitely the kind of man you want with you on a cave dive.
Just amazing! You can just feel Mike's passion thru the screen. All of you. So courageous. Thank you for letting us live vicariously through you. 🧜🏻♀️😀

I love woody's face when asked if there's still cave explorers on open circuit. He's got this look like "We know the answer should be no but old habits die hard and some people don't ever change" Also that town shot was pretty cool I'm impressed with how old the architecture is. I'd be down to just go explore the historical sites of the town.
You guys are the working mans channel and i love it. You upload at 6am when i wake up and go fishing for sunrise so I always get to watch you in the morning.

85 feet in a crack with low visibility and doing work! Diving is the best sport in the world! Thanks for reviewing these dives so we can experience it vicariously!. Keep em' coming!
Such an amazing video. It's hard enough doing cave exploring with modern diving gear, but gives you an appreciation for how hard it was in the past. They must have really loved what they did to do it. You guys mentioned it many times before in the video, but I am curious how much time it would have saved them digging out the gravel if they had been able to do it on rebreathers. I imagine that alone could have saved them a ton of time. But I don't know exactly how much more time limited their digging dives would be on open circuit vs rebreathers. It just seems like it would be a lot.
I don't know nearly enough about diving just learning and safety improvements have been made.. But after I saw what happened with David Shaw I wouldn't trust something converting my air if I'm doing strenuous work at depth. It just seems like you can so easily become Hypoxic not scrubbing enough Co2 quick enough and pass out and no one's helping you if that happens.
I'm from Arkansas and it is a beautiful state. 😊 Mike Young is amazing at what he does. Thanks to him and the crew for preserving and exploring its beauty. 💜
This was one of my favorite Mike videos. These boys put a ton of work in there. All those buckets through that crack. Come on that's some work there. Under freaking water too.
I love Mike. I believe that’s his name of the guy exploring Blue Spring . I seen you guys interview him also. I’m only into half of this video and had to stop it to comment. If I was lost in a Cave and Woody and Gus are not around to rescue me, this particular diver in this video would probably be my next choice. Love dive talk!
You know, now that I'm learning more about cave diving from this channel this looks way more comfortable and less scary than the madness I've seen from dry caving. All that gear really is a comfort.
When I was a kid I was fascinated with diving, and I used to carry around this mask and snorkel. That mask was my most prized possession and when the strap broke I made a new one from a bike tire innertube. I still have this mask hanging in my office but those days of exploring the bottoms of lakes until my lungs were on fire have passed and I forgot my dreams of diving. Watching Dive Talk has sparked this desire in me to get back in the water, not with that old mask, it probably leaks. Thanks Dive Talk!
Gus & Woody: what a great video with Mike! I could see you guys getting more and more hungry for your next dive every moment during the video. Lol! Love you guys!
Love your content! Mandatory diaclaimer, not a diver (yet). I really want to become a diver and your videos have become helpful while i wait for the right time to do the classes. I am excited to do this and you two have presented me with the tools to not only get excited about diving, but also what to look for in an instructor. Hope to maybe see you in the water someday! Thanks for all you do!

When you say it takes "a special kind of person" you mean someone with a death wish? 😂 Because that's why my heart stops when I see these things!
