I've tried the leviathan 1550 and it's a complete different wing. The 1401 is way faster and turn way better than the leviathan. For sure the leviathan is easier to pump, but it's so boring to ride it in comparison.
@@webstken The 1401 have a different style of pumping, you have to pump it keeping the board flat... You will definitely double your time when you understand the pumping technique.
Any chance you can detail a bit more the low end with PNG1300 specifically? Interested in the ease of it for dead start dockstarting and flat water paddle up. I can do both on the PNG1300 but not the ART PRO 1201.

Great video! Seems promising for pumping and dockstarts. For sup downwinding would be good to discuss tradeoffs / comparisons with other options for our local conditions on Léman / Estavayer. Depending on season we get a few times per month conditions that produce "small" (shin to knee high / 0.5M, again depending on season. Generally need a foil that will have a great low end, move with the slow swell, and allow for turns to peel off and link waves. And of course something one can paddle up. Speed once up on foil is perhaps less important since the swell is generally slow. And "small" most days. For the days with "larger" swell larger wings can be difficult to control (I went out last Wednesday when we had 14-15 knots and knee to waist high waves and found myself in a rodeo with my gong 3XL (totally the wrong tool for the day and not what it was intended for, though my skill level also needs to improve 😜). Generally I think the PNG 1310 may still be a good fit for our conditions. Possibly also the Leviathan 1350 / 1150 (and razor 980 if you can manage to paddle it up based reviews by Gwen / plantpositive). @yvonvite @stkl23 Would love to hear your thoughts since you are local riders. Considering moving away from gong to Axis or Sabfoil. Also look forward to seeing you on the water someday soon!

I recommand the ultra short advance+ and skinny 360/45.... maybe the 359/40 for your weight... I'm 73 kg and sometimes I like more the 40, sometimes more the 45.... Skinny 359/40, will be mor polyvalent, if you want buy only one. If you can buy 2 skinny, take the 45 and 35 (for the downwind).

What is the minimum length board that will work when thrown so that it is balanced and the nose goes down in a gliding position? I have a small homemade board that is around 80cm and even with the mast all the way back the board does not want to glide when hand launched or thrown (without me on the board yet), it pitches up. Wondering what boards you have used and which ones you like
I've tried the 80cm Gong Kluber board and it worked for me.... Now I'm using a 90cm board and it is perfect. If you have an advance + fuselage it will help for sure.

J'ai lu sur quelques posts qu'il avait un peu trop de flex pour la 1401 et qu'il valait mieux repasser sur le Alu 19 mm. Qu'en penses-tu ?
Alors le high modulus plié un peu en tortion, si tu l'utilise sur l'eau plate, ça dérange pas trop par contre si tu veux surfer un peu ou faire des petits downwind, c'est un peu gênant. Tu verras à l'utilisation, mais c'est certain que le mat alu est plus rigide et plus agréable pour les vagues.

For more efficience with your weight, I suggest to get the skinny 362/50 and an ultrashort advance+ (or even the short advance+ if you want to pump for very long distance on flat water). My weight is 73kg and you have to use the aluminium mast 19mm or the new ultra pro mast for this wing. If you use the High modulus mast, it will bend and it's not usable in waves, but works for flat water.

The 1401 need a little bit more speed than the png 1300, but not a lot. Way more easier to dockstart the 1401 compare to the 1201. I dont recommand this wing to complete beginners, but beginners who can pump 30 secondes can dockstart the 1401.
so we have a BSC 1120 that my son can pump for 30s. He's looking for his first wing and loves dock starting/pumping. He wants max time out pumping. This looks like the best option over the 1300 or 1310? We will also be using this for wing foiling but we're almost always out in 20mph or less. He will still have access to our BSC1120 and I was thinking this might be a good heavier air front wing for me? He's 160lbs and I'm 210. 73 and 96kg. Thanks for your input and review!

I'm hoping it will be possible with this wing. A bit of practice will be required of course. But it looks like it could replace the entire PNG lineup.

I can dockstart the 1300 and 1201 and 1130S code. When I tried the 1401 I can dockstart without a run.
@@apricotscrub 1401 is almost as easy to dockstart as the png 1300.
