Edit: I didn't mind the chest tattoo at least, that was alright to make him more distinct and again I'm glad the design carried over to his shirt. But I'm glad they got rid of the star tattoos on the forearms. THAT was just too much.
he went from being a distinct character with a strong personality to the most default boring dude in the game
He looks like dani the gamedev😂

@@Ikhaho 100% agree
sf5's graphic and style are timeless... to this day it still looks new and fresh to me
I'm not feeling part 6 at all. And the story mode just amplifies everything I do not like.
yeah real surprising how Ryu, Chun Li, Guile, Honda, Akuma, Ibuki, Alex, Zangief, Cody, Sakura, Balrog, Vega, Sagat, Birdie, Dan, Karin, Rose, Lucia, Poison, and Seth had their looks back in the older games (mostly Cody in his Final Fight look). but to be honest, despite Seth kinda sounding like the same guy he was in SF4, i think it was kinda weird how he had a female body in SF5
@@violatethedresscode well it was kinda weird how they left out the Shadaloo dopes just like that. i kinda missed Balrog, Vega, Sagat, and Bison. but i don't know about F.A.N.G.. he was kinda a bit awkward for his only appearance in SF5
@@violatethedresscode Well see you in SF7 then brother
@@sialiasialis. in still trying to get into it. Did more of world tour last night. Hoping I change my mind as I get a bit more skilled with the drive techniques.
If you make another one when the DLC characters show up, please do use the classic costumes as well!
I still prefer the looks of most of the characters from 5 over 6 (cosmetically, not graphically) but the gameplay of 6 blows 5 out of the water.
Its weird that I hated the SF4 art at the time of launch, but now I love it.
lmaoo
That just might be the nostalgia talking bro
@@jonableek9452most character designs of sf4 are better than sf5
I love how Juri's stand in SFV it's show how strong of her legs, She can even place her hand on but anyway I love every detail of hers in SFVI
I really like Dhalsim's twirling finger tutting in his idle stance. His movements are all smooth and deliberate.
It's a major improvement from the vague, aimlessly flailing "magic" jazz hands he does in his SF 4 and classic SF 2 idle to denote how he has magic powers
SF4 really leaned into the SF2 designs, not only clothing but also pose wise
SF4: Anime
SF5: Cartoon
SF6: Realistic
Exactly! You know this is coming full circle from the Modern Street Fighter Era. Compare to the Classic Era with:
SF2: Western Cartoons
Alpha: Retro 90’s Anime
SF3: Mixed with SF2 & Alpha
SF7: ???
You got the first two mixed up super hard. SF5 looks far more anime than SF4, which looks more like a cartoon.
@@ermacn.cheese726 Yea, this is pretty obviously correct just on virtue of the model's appearances themselves.
One can probably only arrive at "SF4 = Anime, SF5 = Cartoon" if being heavily influenced by all of the weird baggage surrounding SFV.
SEMI-realistic*
I could look at SF4 Juris face all day, they did something magical the first time and it hasn't hit the same since.
chun-li's trademark is her huge legs but weirdly I think they went overboard in sf6, they made her thighs even bigger but nerfed her calf size so her proportions just look off. the model otherwise looks good tho, and she's ridiculously cute in her costume 2
I agree, I'm never one to usually say it's never too much, but the proportions look a bit off for her imo
I think its bc even tho they buffed her tights they nerfed her butt, when a person has thick tights usually the adjacent parts are also bigger
also her top half looks too small for her bottom half
yeah i hate to say it, but i think they really fumbled with chun li’s design here… she just looks very off putting now, which is a shame since her design has been one of the best since SFII
It does look weird.
Man those SF4 models are so nostalgic. Always loved the aesthetic of that era
Dee jay is giving off the vibes in this game. He looks really awesome. I also love cammy's model.

Blanka in SF6: Hulk pogging

Dee jay used to look like a psychopath from arkham asylum but now actually looks like a guy who wants to party and have fun
the slight warm tone of sf4 models really gives the game a diff style
i kinda think SFV looks best. I dont like the hyper-realistic look they went for in 6, kinda feel like the cartoon style fits fighting games better. What do yall think?
I love SF4 artstyle!!!
SF4 is Still my favourite in general
Yes I enjoy seeing the BIG THICC Hands and legs that that characters have in sf4/5
It’s because you’re a nerd!!
I like how the special effects in SF6 seem to make a return to SF4, but instead of ink its spray paints.
Besides that, SF4 has the best OST by far
@@Gerolanfalan I agree!!

He returned to monke
Damn Blanka went from SSJ3 to Carrot Top with Gamma Radiation
You got to do the same video but with matching classic costumes too! Then that way it's an even more accurate comparison!
I love how Yuri is the spotlight mark in every video of yours.
SF4 will always be iconic for me.

Ive truly fallen in lovr with the art direction and facial expressions achived in SF6. It's been a joy to out so much time into it.
🔥💜 Juri 💜🔥 3:05
SF5 is my favorite. Wish all characters had the same quality in their faces, though!
1:50 - Is it just me or can you actually see her sphincter?
Leotards can do wonders
The characters actually look like the region that they're from.
This transition from the original 2D to a more life-like 3D is insane to see.
2:45 WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO GUILE IN STREET FIGHTER 4 MAN, WHERE IS HIS HEAD?!?!?
Damn the graphic evolution from SF4 Ultra to SF6 is pretty dramatic and amazing
Really wish they kept Blankas SF5 design. It seem like a good evolution of the character. Sf6 looks like he shaved and regressed.
I dont think Chun li's new look is _bad_ but i much prefer her original design. The colors pop more and she has more attitude in her design.
Well, you're in luck. The SF6 version of her classic costume (the unlockable "Outfit 2") is well done. The blue is vibrant.
Biggest glow up in history 6:53
i’m still a fan of sf5’s art direction
Same, but gladly I dont hate 6 at least
5 had the best char redesigns too on top of the general style. I like Chun's more elongated face especially.
SFV's Art Direction was really nice after SFIV, improved on it heavily. I appreciate the style they went with SF6, but SFV despite how much bashing it gets, did pretty well with the designs and art (Besides Ken and Luke. I swear Ken's redesign was just to sell costumes for him because of how bad it looked)
I like them all, but for some reason SFV holds a special place in my hear, I just really like the style.
(Except for Ken, holy moly, what was THAT??? 😭😭😭)
Same here. And I love Kens hair still.
Does SF5 exist?
i think sf5 did a great job of doing fresh versions of the cartoon style, and sf6 is good for realism but some characters dont work
SF4 Dee Jay is nightmare fuel lol
Best Versions IMO:
Ryu: Street Fighter 6
Ken: Street Fighter 4
Chun Li: Street Fighter 5
Cammy: Street Fighter 6
Guile: Street Fighter 5
Juri: Street Fighter 5
E. Honda: Street Fighter 6
Blanka: Street Fighter 5
Dhalsim: Street Fighter 6
Zangief: Street Fighter 5
Luke: Street Fighter 6
Dee Jay: Street Fighter 6
Juri was prettier in Street Fighter 4.
Change my mind.
Great vid you can't truly apreciase the effort in making the characters and their animations,if you could do another one using classic costumes of SF6 and 5 would be awesome!

Honestly in terms of like facial model n such I think sf4 juri was better than the recent ones. Idk she had a sharper and more menacing look because of how her eyes were wide open the entire time which gave her the sort of crazy look they were going for
I know right!
She looks older and more experienced too. Her fighting pose also looks more menacing.
I think she had consistently good designs in every game, but you can't beat the og
@@semi_automatico Capcom says that the reason Juri was created is because they needed a Korean character. Very little of Juri's new look tells me that compared to her Street Fighter 4 look. It feels their trying too hard to make Juri look evil with that spike collar.
At least Chun li still looks Chinese.
@@orangeslash1667 Nothing about Juri's wardrobe in SF4 made her look korean though. The only thing that even signified her being one was her face. Her outfit and hair has always been super out there and nothing any korean would ever wear (unless you were a model or idol I guess, spider top like hello?) I mean this applies to other characters too, ever seen a random british girl wearing a beret and leotard like Cammy just out in the streets strolling about? I think not lol. Besides, SF6 Juri's face does make her look more korean which is good. Only SF5 Juri's face doesn't look korean imo because of the hyper stylized cartoon design.
