- Greetings Commanders,
Welcome to my Imperial Clipper, Maelstrom Material Farmer and Build Guide. :)
In this video I will explain my new and Improved Imperial Clipper, now built to perfection for material farming in the Thargoid Maelstroms, thanks to the new Caustic Sink Launcher and a few other upgrades!
You will also see her briefly in action, and I will explain a few tips to farming and navigating around the Caustic Generators.
This ship, in my opinion, is the best for this particular job and for the price!
Please enjoy the video and I hope it helps. :)
O7 Commanders. :)

Your builds are always so well thought out.
@@rybuds47 Thank you so much...I do try 😅
First! Always enjoying your vid commander! o7
Dear gutamaya, build a medium ship, please and thank you.
Nice build Daz, I didnt know the generators were that easy to kill with beams, I used long range cannons and multies and was trying to pick them off from like 7000m out 😆
o7
Just stay 3km or so away and a gentle tickle with the beam is all that's needed 👍
You can also snipe gens with ax missiles, they have some absurd range
@@MrSmartman23 Yes, I used AX missiles in my Caustic Sink tutorial video 👍
Great video, my problem is that in order to buy a caustic sink launcher i need to farm from caustic generators first. And without caustic sink launcher farming them is almost impossibile. Sort of a vicious cycle.
Solved! Thanks to your previous tutorial which explains how to do :)
Nice build think I'll copy it since I ate it in a Krait just earlier today lol. Everything was going fine had 3 tissue samples and half the other mats had been flying back out to repair and everything was looking good. Had a g5 le pp keeping me cool wasn't drawing aggro but I apparently let a generator lure me too far into the cloud while a research limpet was doing its thing. Went from 85% hull to 20% in what seemed like a moment tried running out to repair but popped before I could even react. womp womp lesson learned those clouds are no joke
Hey Daz. nice video. How about a video of the corvette PvE or PvP? o7
Cool. What sort of weapons load out did you have in mind?
@@eliteengineerdaz Of course Multi Canons, laser mix or full laser. I saw some cmdrs with only pulse laser and beam laser in high cz and it was pretty cool. And by the way your AFK build with type 10 is really great after 1 month of playing with it. I also fitted to the T10 all short Multis to it and worked perfectly in Haz rrez.
@@Kilran92 I'll see what I can do in the near future 👍
@@Kilran92 As promised, an all Beam Laser Corvette is almost ready and being released on Friday. The video will feature a full build walkthrough as usual and later showcasing about 5 minutes of action in a High CZ. 👍
question on your cargo rack, only 16 limpets is way too low to be able to farm for long time don't you think?
You will run out of caustic sinks before you fill it up, by which time you should think about leaving. The build is just a guide, feel free to tweak it to your liking. 👍
Also if you really want to stay you can always synthesize more. They don't require much for materials.
Guardian hull reinforcement are a BAA idea and a mistake, dude !
Guardian tech is disabled and affected by thargs attacks, and become useless. Use normal G5 engineered hull reinforcement and AVOID guardian tech !
More, this was uploaded in March 31 2023 - I can tell you now, in August 2023, EACH generator popped is a risk, they are guarded by thargs who will search for you / attack you when the generator is destroyed !
So, unlike in this heavily edited vid, after you destroy the gen PAY ATTENTION to the tharg who will come to investigate ! if you see him close, better run !
Destroying caustic generators has always been risky with an Interceptor patrolling close by, I always pick a generator far from any nearby Thargoids. This video was mainly to showcase this new build, I have another video explaining a bit more in detail on farming.
I have never had an issue with the guardian hull reinforcement packages, they don't degrade and I have barely been attacked whilst farming.
It's always been getting to the cloud that's most difficult with hyperdictions etc and the Clipper's speed makes this easy to escape. Just those Hunter Glaives that can be a pain. 😩
Thanks for the comment 👍.
@@eliteengineerdaz - man, for me was a BIIIIG pain in the a.... to unlock the damn caustic sink, popping generators WITHOUT any protection aside a small repair limpet, who obvious just cannot maintain the peace with the caustic damage.. took me a dozen trips, all ending up exploding - but lukily, my carrier is parked near, in a sys at 7 yl, so I spawn back on it... WITH the little materials I could gather... rise and repeat, but was a struggle, I confess.
My point is, EACH and EVERY occasion I popped a gen, in 15-20 sec an angry tharg come investigating, in killing mood...
the damn collectors are so slow I need to get really close to shorter the time they return, but the damn tharg usually post himself BETWEEN my collectors and the generator materials - and many times the limpets carrying materials get destroyed... I end up running away, hull at 20-30%, with a tharg after me, in the cloud... and empty hands !
I managed to get the mats to unlock the damn caustic sunk only by having 2 collectors floating, a rep limpet working, popping the gen, retret to avoid the caustic release, RUSH IN at only 3-400m of debris ( materials) open hatch, wait an eternity until the limpets bring back the pieces, ignoring the tharg rushing me, then usually ending dead... AFTER i got the mats ! I use a Chieftain boosting 560, hull tank, and was decent... most important, lol, a CHEAP re-buy 🤣
Must say - NO FUN at all man, in this...
@@mirandela777 Yes, unlocking the caustic sink is very difficult 😩 Luckily, I had my carrier parked one jump away and I always farmed just one caustic tissue sample at a time, then headed back to the carrier because I didn't even have a caustic resistant cargo rack at the time either! But it is possible it just takes time. 😉
