This was hands down the most informative video I've seen. As someone who is in college studying to be a teacher, guided reading and centers is a very daunting and scary topic because its so hard to understand. You did an amazing job an answered so many questions that I've had. THANK YOU!!!
During guided reading or assessment, I wear cute lady bug or bee headbands. This tell my kiddos, Dont bug me. Only problem I've ever had, was walking out of my class with them on!
You give me inspiration. I'm still in school and feel like I won't know what I'm doing. Good to know that not even an actual teacher knows sometimes and just goes with the flo
Guided reading is my least favorite part of the day (during student teaching, is was my favorite!) because I just don’t have it down. I love the writing idea! So many helpful tips here. Thank you!
love this and needed this to inspire me. this is my third year, but first year teaching reading! i have a couple questions. do your students go to AOD every day? Also, do you have a separate time for independent practice for the skill you are currently teaching in reading? Thanks so much!!
Hi!! First year teacher here. I’d love to have access to your data sheet on your TPT. ALSO would u share the anchor charts you made for centers I’d like to see that. I LOVE the push light ask 3 thing. I’m doing that!
Do you see your students who receive resource as well? I'm an RSP and a huge issue for me is to make sure my students also get what they need in the classroom !!! Love these btw :)
I’m not a teacher but love your videos. I have a question for you / teachers in general. Since you split your kids up into groups by level, does that ever get...I don’t know...uncomfortable for you or the kids? Like “the smart kids” vs the not so smart kids. (I know it’s not like that but kids are kids). How does that work for a teacher? Obviously working with level groups is the most efficient but how do you keep things nice that way?
Dear Shelley, thanks for sharing your organization on guided reading. They're helpful, really!! My name is Julia, an EFL teacher. What is the 'grab the ticket' that you mentioned? Is it a reward system to motivate the students?? Could you explain how it works?! Thank you in advance for all the wonderful videos!! Keep it up!! You are an amazing teacher!!👍😀
I hope I'm not the only one wishing I could go back to when I was in 3rd grade just to see what group I would fall into. I'll be 30 next month, why am I wondering this?! Lol 💜
I know you’ve said it a million times, but I’m still confused. Why does your A group not do guided reading with you? But do they do the other centers? They are the ones who are behind the most correct? I’m so fascinated with your groups, getting so much done in such little time!!

Omg. Its been insightful. This yr will be the first time using guided reading.. Thanks for sharing
Loving the lip color in this one girl! So festive!
Great video! You hit the mail on the head with everything! I’m in the same boat and will try your suggestions. Thank you!
So many helpful ideas! So glad you shared this. I’m also 2nd year - 3rd grade, and guided reading is my biggest challenge right now.
Your videos are SO helpful! There are so many moving parts in teaching and you’ve really motivated me to organize all of my thoughts. Love you 💕
Been struggling with kids focusing during Guided Reading so hearing your motivation ideas really helped me!!! Can't wait to try tomorrow!

YES! I have been so excited to see this video from you! I'm so happy you are doing vlogmas because I love your videos so much!
Your hair is so pretty
When do you see your low group group a ?
I’m sorry if this has been asked already, but do you happen to have the rotations form somewhere? In a link or on Tpt? Thank you!
Loving vlogmas 😊 I am in my student teaching in Maryland.
How do you do it with graded work? I am having trouble with making my schedule to where every student does their independent work during small group
I absolutely love your lipstick!
How would this work during the current class structure of no contact amongst students? Any ideas because I need help and want to utilize this method

Hi! Question. What reflection sheet do you use? I think maybe this would help with my kids as well!
Just catching up... is there "pressure" for your kids to get all of their lexia minutes? When do you do the skills lessons for lexia?
oh my god you videos are so helpful!
When you do guided reading, do you have kids read aloud or do you have them read silently in the group and then you discuss?
Great ideas! I was wondering... how do you fit in whole-group lessons?
How do you do spelling tests with different groups having different spelling words?
I am filming that tomorrow!!! stay tuned!!!
I just love your channel!

I do not!
@@EarlyEDventures Are your students pulled for other subjects too? I do mostly inclusion so it's interesting to hear other systems!!
Do you teach a mini lesson to the whole class before your centers begin?

You tell them that everyone has different strengths and weakness but that doesn't make anyone better or worse.
Not at all. We have built a community of acceptance and encouragement.
I love your videos so much
Do you love teachers and what made you want to do it
I have a whole video on my teaching story!! Go watch it!

Gabby Large I’m sure they are receiving one-on-one help with a reading specialist at this time
Watching this in 2020 and definitely laughed a little when you said they have to sit 6 feet away from each other during silent reading 😂😭😭
Watching in 2021 and had the same reaction to the mention of 6 feet!
