    ・・・・・・・
An anomaly if there ever was one, the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 360 is a device that makes little sense in a bunch of ways. So confounding was it that we put off doing an unboxing until now simply because we couldn’t get Samsung to agree to send one over to us. Stating that they didn’t even send out review units on this strange, little device, we simply continued to overlook this oddball Chromebook until recently.
Why have we decided to finally buy one and unbox it? It mainly comes down to curiosity. With Samsung’s very interesting track record in the Chromebook market, we all wondered if maybe we were overlooking something in Samsung’s latest efforts at a new ChromeOS device. As it turns out, that wasn’t the case, but this Chromebook does have a few really interesting additions that make it worth a look, even if it isn’t really worth the asking price.

I have been using this for about 6 months and I like it. I only open about 4 to 6 tabs a time but have had no problems with it. It is my daily driver and it works great for me. I do not play games on it or anything like that but I do work on it and have had no problems. It does not weigh very much so having it in my back pack and carrying it around works fine.

No BS and neutral standing point. It helps a lot in decision making process for us who are thinking to buy it.
    Keep the good work!

I still have the Samsung Chromebook from 2020. And although the user experience is not the best as you mentioned. The battery only last a few hours and the bottom gets warm. So using it on your lap becomes uncomfortable. It's still such a beautiful machine that just feels special. From the 4k screen and the aluminum build...and, even the glass track pad, the hide away stylus or the white charger that came with it.
Since then I feel that Samsung is just throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks.

Was looking to replace my Samsung Chromebook Plus V2 (2018 model) for small screen device, and picked up the Lenovo Flex 3i 12" with the N100 from Intel. While performance and video playback is superb, especially at the price even regular, my BIGGEST gripe is the COLOR TEMPERATURE! Lenovo put a super warm screen on it, where browsing Best Buy or B&H or even Google with their white pages hurts my eyes. Came back to this one to see how it would compare, being another 12" class 2 in 1, but with a much better screen with cooler temperature easy on my eyes. When you do review the Lenovo FLex 3i 12" like I'm sure you will, please remark on your experience with the screen. Not just brightness, but specifically COLOR TEMPERATURE. I think all manufacturer's should go for COOLER native displays, and if people wanna filter blue light, use the Night Light feature and adjust warmer. Having a natively super warm screen though is a DEAL BREAKER for me with this Lenovo that just came out.

I switched from a Samsung Chromebook Pro to an Acer Chromebook Spin 713 a couple years ago and the speed alone has made it far easier to get work done, but there are a few things I still miss about the Pro. The biggest one is the S Pen. The writing experience with the S Pen felt smoother, it was really nice not having to worry about a battery (I still occasionally go to use my USI pen and it doesn't work and I realize I need to plug it in and use it awkwardly plugged in while it charges), and I loved I could use the S Pen across my Chromebook and phone. I do wonder if Google has been really strict about only allowing USI pen technologies on Chromebooks, so maybe the double whammy of Samsung's second Chromebook (after the Pro/Plus series) not doing well and Chromebooks not really fitting into their ecosystem any more without the S Pen technology has led to them basically bowing out of the Chromebook marketplace.
I have been disappointed with the "universal" nature of USI so far. To me the S Pen/EMR technology is the smoothest writing experience, but USI even feels clunkier than the couple of Windows active styluses I've tried in stores. If it is really supposed to be a USB-level format, I would expect a lot more refinement and to start seeing it on other devices. I've been expecting Google to start having it on Android devices, especially their Pixel phone which could then become a Note (I guess a Galaxy S+ now) competitor. So far it just seems to be a budget pen format for Chromebooks, though, and isn't really any more universal than Windows active pens. And at least in Windows case, I believe Samsung's Book series of Windows devices uses their S Pen technology over the active Windows styluses, so maybe Google should let at least Samsung use non-USI pen technologies if they aren't going to try to push USI on other devices.

I just bought an HP 14a-na1083cl from Costco. It kind of has the same problems as you're bring up with the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2. Very laggy graphics and an unresponsive laggy mouse. I'm taking it back next week. I'm looking for something as nice as my Acer 311 that I gave away during my last trip to the Philippines.

I currently have the samsung chromebook with the 4k oled display and I used to have the acer chromebook cb 515, both of them used the Intel cpu but call of duty mobile is not compatible with the Intel cpus. I don't know if the newer Intel cpu chromebook supports call of duty mobile. I even tried to sideload call of duty mobile on both the samsung and acer chromebook but call of duty mobile would just crash every time I try to open call of duty mobile. I want a newer chromebook with a 4k display. I even have the original older chromebook pixel before the google play store existed on chromebooks and you had to use the chrome web store to download apps. Anyways, the original chromebook pixel that I have, it has the brightest display even though it's glossy and I really like glossy displays. I'm still waiting for a newer glossy 4k display chromebook. I have a bunch of devices that use 4k, even my sony xperia 1 iv android phone has a 4k 120 hz oled display.

I really wanted to buy that Samsung orange Galaxy Chromebook when launched, but for reasons unknown, Samsung didn't sell Chromebooks in the UK at that time. Now Samsung sell Chromebooks in the UK along with their smartphones, tablets, and impressive Windows laptops, but the specs on their Chromebooks are so unaspiring I wouldn't want to own one. I recently purchased an Acer Spin 513 Chromebook with the MediaTek Kompanio 1380 (8 cores) processor with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, and at £399 it cost £100 less than the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 360 with meagre Celeron N4500 (2 core) processor with low clock speed and 4GB RAM! No contest! I wonder if Samsungs lack lustre Chromebook showing is over its concern that Chromebook sales may impact their Android tablet sales volume?

Too many Chromebooks like this one, fail due to poor I/O and peripheral construction. Such as ports or keyboards or hinges. That plus the greater upgradeability of a Chromebox, means that it is a good option for the home. Plus it could replace a streaming device.

XE520QEA-KB1US, Manufactured Vietnam 03 2022 Purchased at Best Buy (no box)
    ChromeOS updates end 2030
Yes, Robby's findings are palpable. I'm hoping that we are looking at the same model, as some of the comments clearly indicate different models in use. Thing is, I just picked one up after my original Galaxy Chromebook with aluminum build and flat keyboard (that eventually I adapted to and enjoyed) is close to losing Chrome OS updates in 2024. I agree this model is not aluminum but at first I was fooled, it felt so good and rigid. Screen 16x10 and excellent. 60 Hz refresh but more takes away battery. I liked this keyboard from first touch, even without back-lighted keys. The screen adequately illuminates the keyboard, plus touch typing mostly takes care of this, especially with the bright screen illumination. Touchpad feels just right - no issues. If I find slowdowns with tabs open, that's the only downside I'm looking out for but, I don't expect to find that. My use case is for EDC about the house and during travel. Mostly reading.
This is my third Chromebook since starting replacement for the aging original Samsung Chromebook 360. The other two are excellent was well and each of the three do have slightly different use cases. Horses for courses.
