@@joelenglish7092 where would you have seen t.rex in e - town ? Northlands? I've seen a lot of shows in Edmonton, but all this century, clubs, the union hall, shaw ctr., Northlands exhibition halls...
@@joelenglish7092 err, I'm talking about Edmonton, Ab.Canada, perhaps you are in the u.k. , it just occured to me.( There is an Edmonton , Australia, one in Kentucky, one in the u.k., one in Canada.oops.
I'm 60 years old and STILL listening to the best music ever! 🎵 👍 💘
Me 61
Cruisin' in the ol' `55 on Saturday night? Young shits these days don't have a CLUE as to what life was really all about. 60's/70's Rock IS...what Life is all about....
Me too!
@@kinniwright1642 Me too
I"m 70 :D All the best :D Music our generation :D
Marc Bolan was born a Rock Star and definitely ahead of his time! Those emerald green velvet pants...too cool for school!!
Christmas ornimantation...
Mark was a proper classy creative genius, and his tunes still sound cool
That guitar riff at the intro still gives me a chill when I hear it, I recall driving my 64 rambler and blasting this song on my 8 track stereo, good times, great memory, this song is due for another remake!
This is one of the songs that will always get me dancing.
My fav T.Rex single ! I saw them live back the day!!!😀🎶
That would've been awesome to see these guys live.
I remember when this song came out . It was fantastic. Mark was way head of his time. After almost 50 years and alot of beers that song still sounds great. Oooowwwww 💥
@Christine Ccolgate Love to you too . 💞🙏🦅
I'm sure A LOT of songs sound great after so much beer lmao
i agree. my heyday. i had hair then it's gone like MARC
We are giving our age away now..lol
Still listening at 61 years of age, just love it
Hello Karen, How are you doing?
This is what cool looks like and quality sounds like . Marc was one cool cat . Way ahead of his time
I agree he is so cool he makes the sun freeze. It was the first album I ever had. Think it was Fly records if I remember correctly. Where is that time machine
Tony visconti Sound COURT 📡👍
I was blessed to grow up in such a great era of great music and artists who will stand the test of time
At least till 1975, kinda lost its way after that.
I'm 70 my mind 20 rock on
@@johnkulpowich5260 John I'm 60! But my brain is Eighteen! And Iike it! Lol.
How can ANYONE not love T-Rex's version of 'Glam Rock' !!!!
Glam rock was epic! So glad to be a teen during the 70s. T-Rex, Slade, Sweet, and Bowie 🤘🤘
Trex ARE GLAM ROCK!
Absolutely brilliant song.
Marc Bolan..a true rockstar. They don't make them like him anymore.
I hear ya. The late 60s and early 70s had some great music. Im 65 and still love Rock n Roll
True, but bloody awful at lip syncing😅
@@simontrucker3624 true, but it was 70s and we didn't care.
Well, this might sound silly, as I get emotional easy but this music brings tears to my eyes, I love it so much! I feel blessed to have been a child of the 60’s and teen in the 70’s and got to experience the Best music Ever. By the way I was a good catholic girl when this song came out😉.
I loved this guy. Still miss him in 2020👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️
Brilliant. Marc Bolan was a genius.
OMG ❗ 1971 I was a 6 yr old little girl, and WOW ❗ whatta BLAST from the past I tell ya. I'm so happy I grew up with this music, I wish I could rewind the decades, my goodness, I really cannot get into much of today's music. The late 60s, 1970s is where my soul is ✨💃🥂✨👠👠✨
This is my favorite music 👍🏼
I am 57 year old and I love this music keep on rocking
@@feldberg1052 Ich bin 56 Jahre jung und bin aufgewachsen mit solche Musik. Grusse aus Brussel.
I'm near of 65 YO and I still love this music.
I'm 70 I was about 21 when he died press disrespectfullly said he wrapped himself around a lampost x
This record ain't aged a day. One of the best records ever made imo. Long live t rex.
Seriously one of the greatest rock stars of all time, seriously underrated! There would have been no Bowie, no Prince, without Marc Bolan. What a frikkin incredible dancer. Totally amazing. I have been a fan for years but just today got schooled on Bolan's electrifying stage performance and fancy footwork. Plus, those green velvet bellbottoms! Now I can happily die having seen this twice in a row!
Bowie was around before Marc changed to electric
The boy could dance!
Bien Diana , pas en france , trop efféminé §
Diana Trimble so he’s to blame for Bowie and Prince. Haha just kidding Di.
Irene C hi Irene, there is so many unearthed great stories from these early superstars.
Can't quite decide whether Get It On or Brown Sugar by the Rolling Stones is the best iconic record from the early 70s, and possibly the best pop record of all time. As I'm enjoying listening to T Rex right now, I'll say Get It On is the winner!
Simply a musical God. Sadly missed for so many years.
Cette chanson a 50 ans et elle est toujours aussi excellente
c'est vrai.
and I've been listening to this song 50 years !! :)
@@paulnodalo9130Paul dinello I totally agree with you real music
Congratulations on the Rock and roll HOF induction. Sad most of the original members are no longer here to experience it
I luv this song so much I learned how to play it on my 6 strings!😀
The flame that burns brightest also burns the shortest!!
Bill Legend ( the original drummer is still going)
Yeah, what do you think the others think of this? I think they're probably very happy.
@@Catharguy Yep! Bill plays his drums Every Day! He practices constantly.
I was 9 in 71 and I remember listening to this song along with all the golden classic hits on my little hand held transistor radio in the summer...good times.
I was 13 in '71. Had a tiny crystal set with a wire going out of my bedroom window with a crocodile clip that my Dad clipped onto the gutter of the house to enhance the reception
@@81carrerasc That's so cool, sounds like you had a good Dad. My Dad was the same way he was really smart with electric stuff.
@@buddylove346 Hey buddy, yeah he was a great father unfortunately he passed from coronary heart disease at 69 while he was driving his car. I was always tinkering in the shed beside him on the weekends.
I just miss him so much it hurts .........
@@81carrerasc I'm so sorry to hear that he passed, but at least you have great memories together. The same here my dad passed at 66 (heart attack) he was in the Navy in WWII and taught me many things, miss mom & dad everyday but we were so blessed to grow up back then in the good old days!
