First of all, thanks for the invite, I appreciate that.
Now, you mentioned in your message to me that I would "not be disappointed if I liked bands like ADTR, Blink182 etc.". I must say you clearly produce a very familiar sound like the bands mentioned above and you do so with consequence. I respect that and it makes your songs sound wholesome.

This song sounds like a mixture of "No it isn't" by +44 and "Airplanes" by Haley Williams. Sounds great ;p

It's awesome. It sounds like early Dahsboard Confessional and current Simple Plan mixed into a lighter sound! Keep it up, maybe add more drums and play with other acoustics. Otherwise, it's really great!

However, I expected a little more innovation, because IMHO, the songs do sound a little too much alike and very close to the established bands that you mentioned.
You did a good job on your songs so far, now you'll have to work hard to make a proper name for yourself.

If he thinks that he needs to sound like he's about to cry for his song to touch people's emotions, then he's doing something wrong in the song writing process. Leonard Cohen, Paul Kelly, Lennon and McCartney, these are all artists touch emotions through their songwriting and their words, not through their nasal cavities.
