33:30 Stockfish breaking the AI for magni by making a knight instead of a queen is complete insanity on top of all the other insanity in this game. Wow
I'm always amazed at how Stockfish finds these intense winning lines against any opponent, AI or human! The ending of the second game was a testament to its remarkable strategy.

I'll step aside from the memes and say I do appreciate these AI videos. They're quite fascinating. I don't play chess myself, but watching chess at such a high level is just so intriguing.
Stockfish's concept at 24:06 was unfindable - until Levy told us it was unfindable, at which point one immediately looks for a bizarre outside pawn move.
@@yakovvidberg7035 no the computer will misevaluate the positions because of the material difference, but it is indeed a fortress. Levy just knows that there are fortresses in the rook and pawn vs queen positions (in general). In the video it seems a little more complex because black can sac the queen for pawn and rook and transition into a pawn race, but if white pushes their pawns to early then it will dismantle their own fortress (before this transition of rook pawn vs. queen into king pawn ending).
The reason stockfish likes the queens gambit is because it read Levy's book. In which he discusses the golden moves. Most openings with white don't end up putting 2 pawns in the center early on. Typically consisting of one pawn in the center and the other backing it up like a building block opening such as the caro-kann or french defense(which I know is blacks opening but this is an example). The queens gambit immediately gives 3 of the golden moves with both pawns in the center, Nf3 and hopefully Bc4. So Stockfish will obviously favor this opening.
When I was 26 minutes into the video I realised how much you're doing for chess content. You're presenting it in such an entertaining and easy to digest way that anyone can watch it, love it.

It's great to see Stockfish thriving in the open source community and Levy's the perfect guy to showcase some of its games! Just remember to be skeptical of any closed-source engines that magically appear out of nowhere, like chessbases "fat fritz" that lifted chunks of SF's code and got sued for breach of the open source license model, only thanks to SFs big community of support to fund that legal battle. That's why whenever a "new" closed source engine appears, Torch being the latest, I get very skeptical and a little saddened because it's only a matter of time before some mega corporation or company tries to pull stunt like that again in way they can get away with it.

Imagine just going out one day for a day of fishing, you cast your rod, feel a bite, reel it in, and all of a sudden you are forced into a game of chess by the stockfish
What’s incredible to me is the fact that the Magni actually had their chances against stockfish. If it wasn’t for the one move inaccuracies it just did sometimes, it couldve easily drawn both games
Fun fact: if magni's elo is impossible, and it's 3 magnuses, then magnus's elo should be a third of that, or imp. His elo is also the highest in the world. That implies that if imps were real, they'd be cracked at chess
