My wife has spinal injuries and received 140 xrays in 2 and a half years she contracted Acute Myloid Leikemia nearly died spent 7 months in hospital. People with spinal injuries where bone marrow is created are 10 times more likely if heavily xrayed to aquire a life threatening Leukemic desease my wife is proof and i soon hope to release her story here on youtube, we were blocked by the legal profession in sueing for medical negligence
I'm sorry to hear that. That is a lot of x-rays especially if it's of the spine. 1 lumbar spine x-ray is equivalent to about 15 chest x-rays or 1.5 mSv. (Radiation strength) That's close to 1 CT scan of the head which is 2.0mSV. As you say, your stemcells that become your immune cells and red blood cells are made in the spine, so 140 spinal x-rays sounds extreme. How is she doing now? Sending my best wishes.
I injured my ankles lately, doctor looked at my feet, said they’re broken, maybe some ligaments torn out, too. I was still able to walk with not much pain tho, so I walked to the X-ray. Guy doing the X-ray: "why are you having an X-ray on both of your feet when you can walk? Absolutely unnecessary." He was very quiet after seeing my feet, even more after seeing the X-rays lol
and? I once had a crack in my knee after falling from a byke. I could not only walk but also ride the byke home shortly after what happened. If I didn't have an x-ray to detect the crack and have to treatment, I would walk with a limp all my life after that if not worse.

@@ajax7590 my friend. There are cases where it is more important to get a proper diagnosis than to worry about x-rays. That being said, I’m guessing that most of your x-rays have been of your extremities, which involves significantly lower doses. Rest assured, in such case, you should still be within normal limits. Sleep tight!
It helps if you're able to provide details on what kind if diseases are healed with X-ray or low radiation exposure, and in what way or process. Is it not safe to assume that the effects if radiation to the body is untested considering that it is complicated anx pressumably dangerous. Nobody can tell us the effect of radiation long term.

This video is very misleading, basically just one ct scan gives you a 1 in 2000 chance of developing cancer from that x ray. Panoramic is less radiation but brain and thyroid cancers do happen even from just one panoramic x ray, there is no safe amount technically.
Hi! How about multiple same day shots? The radiologist messed up the first 2 toracic shots cause he had to adjust the thing where you put your chest on so he did it 3 times plus a lateral one. Could that be bad if done the same day? (I had 2 the month before already)

Is it possible to take two consecutive front Chest X-Rays in a day and, if so, would that be considerably dangerous? Specially if the person already had another Chest X-Ray like 3 months before?
Any x ray is dangerous, its just raises your chance of cancer most likely 5 to 20 years down the road. Even worse than chest x rays are ct scans. Dont let doctors try to make you not worry by telling you its like riding on a plane because its not the same thing, a ct for example is like the radiation from riding on a plane for a year but all in one moment so it affects the body much more. Even a dental x ray can raise risk of cancer so only get what you need.
Yes, if deemed necessary. There are some patients in hospitals to get one every day, as they are sick and it is necessary to review the status of their lungs on a regular basis. Even then, their doses are not astronomical.

Very easy simple concept basic logic if life is not free why the hell would death be any cheaper it's not. So the question one may wonder is the spiritual cost to one's own soul and spirit for having lived and died only using the smallest percentage of A fraction of the true potential they were first born with equally as reckless neglectful at the same time to the lowest standards of quality for so many years now global pollution has diminished the quality of life to the point where today's people are living, dying and yielding the worst spiritual kickback that has ever been manifested since the beginning of life only getting worse. My dentist has xray my mouth/ face maybe 15 times this year I've also had a ct scan, I want to know if this is too much

I would complain to the dental board about that. That was negligence. They'll probably do an inspection and check on their x-ray process.
