1ST BULL CALVES HAVE ARRIVED -- AND SO IT BEGINS CALF REARING 2021

- in todays video we as per usual are getting ready at the very last minute for the 1st batch of bull calves. we have straw to move, a pen to setup, wash feeding equipment and get the calves fed. unfortunately tho we can use our automatic feeder just yet as we have to get it serviced 1st, so were feeding 9 calves on a 6 tit feeder, so you can imagine how well that works

Everyone else was stockpiling toilet roll during lockdown, Phil was stockpiling straw.

Would you not try the milkbar round feeder, I bought one last year, I'll never go back to gate feeders. That calf 18 is good stuff.

The price that the factories are paying for beef at the moment you could not afford to be giving to much for calves and it looks like the price is going to get worse!! A person could be a busy fool very quickly!!🤔

Angus calves cost too much and rarely come out heavier than our best fresians

It’s holly and yes it works😂 very rarely have any ringworm now
If ya make the milk replacer in 5 gallon drums and just shake the shite out of it instead of using the whisk and bucket
There would be lots of lumps of milk replacer in it and that would be too heavy to lift and shake for long enough to mix it fully
@@jerryodriscoll3691 that’s what we do and the milks always all right, and don’t fill the drums full it’s not that heavy

How much did they cost a head? We bought some recently and they were 220e a head. Gone so expensive.
100 a head far to much but they are the best we buy

Cant you just get your self a better telehander. All that scrap you sold would have gone towards buying a really good one.
If only the scrap was gold... if the current telehandler works, it works. No need for a new one.
