Loved the vlog today, I’m a single Mum of 2 Autistic girls and my favourite thing about them is , for my eldest ( 15) is her sincerity, honesty and loyalty. Much like with Jen she isn’t interested in gossip and nastiness and she is also very quick to stand up for and defend someone she feels is being hurt in anyway.
With my youngest (5) it is her pure and unadulterated joy that she finds in everything, she can make you smile when you’re at your lowest and will make and happy moment multiply infinitely.
They truly don’t care what other people think of them and I feel that this would be the most liberating feeling on earth, I envy that sometimes.
Love to you all and thank you for sharing you time and your life with us, it truly makes a difference everyday. Xxx Riece 💖🇦🇺

My son who is on the spectrum is soon to be 20!! I have always loved how easy going he is...Things that would bother me don't bother him. He's also extremely intelligent! He needs to be a UA-camr just so he can talk about these complicated subjects because I can barely follow. I also love how he keeps trying and he never gives up.

My nephew is verbal on the spectrum. He is 17 and the best thing about him that I love is he is so animated. He remembers tons of movie quotes and things like that and says them a lot. He makes me smile just to be around him. You both are so amazing and Ella is precious. Keep up the great work!!

I don’t have a child with special needs I do how ever work in a school where I see special people I feel drawn to them. Not sure why same as I am intrigued with your family, Father autism family, Wee family and Jen.
Abby, Ella, Bree and Jen our blessings from God. Just watching the vlogs puts a smile on my face. I sit and watch for hours.
    I love you all!! 🤗❤️

I’m a supervisor of a group home supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I have such a close bond with my clients. One of my clients has autism and I have always said she is the most genuine person I have met. I can always count on her to enjoy the little things in life with me and share a smile/laugh together. 💗

Autism is something new for me. My diagnosed a few months at 16mos and now he's 20 mos. My favorite thing is watching him learn in his own way. We just started PECS and 3 days in he's already getting it an requires minimal prompting.

The best thing I believe about Autism is the fact that they are so pure, the little noises/hand movements they do, the fact that everything is new to them even if it is something they have done in the past. I have worked a couple of kids who have autism and an adult, they are all different in their own special way. Weather they are violent or loving. Not only have I worked with people who have autism, I have worked with kids and adults who have various special needs and LOVE everyone of them.

I don’t have anyone in my life with autism but what I’ve noticed from watching your family and fathering autism that I love is the pure joy people with autism find with things neurotypical people don’t. By this I mean Ella May have a toy that makes her happy, but it doesn’t just make her happy it makes her SO SO HAPPY. I always see moments like that and I think about how I need to be more like that. I need to allow myself to get excited and extremely happy over even little things.

My favorite thing about autism is the way it allows me to think outside the box from other people and that it has made me focus more on the way I interact with others. Also I love when someone treats me the same after they find out about my diagnosis I feel like then they are the good ones

Favorite things about Autism - Undefinably honest - & genuine people! I also love the passion and excitement my son has about whatever it may be that he is interested in at the moment (his obsessions) Right now it's all things trains - Thomas the Train, Polar Express and real trains. He does the research (watching UA-cam videos), and learns the vocabulary. My husband & I have learned a lot from listening to him talk for hours on end about trains. To see his excitement is a gift!

I teach early intervention at an ABA preschool for children with autism and what I love is that the little things are so big...when a child masters requesting for an item at a certain phase using their communication books or when they do something independently that they didn’t before..those are the moments I live for!

I love when you talk about Autism and/or Ella. Even better when she is in the vlog.
I would say one of the best things about a person with Autism is their ability to remember things they hear or see - especially when you think they aren't even paying attention.

The best thing about my 3 autistic grandsons are they are just so pure, sweet, it is hard to explain. I just love them so much. They are such special kiddos. They are 3,6, and 13 yrs. old. They have brought to my life such joy. I have 8 grandkids that are typical kids but these special needs kids have made my life more meaningful. I don’t know why exactly but they are just so awesome. I love my typical grandkids too of course. I am a better person because of these kids.

I loved hearing you answer these questions throughout the vlog! My cousin Alexis is verbal to a degree, but is mostly nonverbal about a majority of things. Our family was told she wouldn’t do a lot of things, like being able to talk or to even walk on her own, and yet she’s accomplished those things and many more. I love how open you guys are and how you just live life 🧡💜

My favorite thing about autism is all of you vlogers are teaching everyone about Autism and giving everyone a better understanding what it is and how autism effects them. I would never make fun of anyone no matter what condition someone may have. I have a friend she can’t talk very good. She’s a Adult Women now but when we were in are early teens I friended her and taught her how to pronounce certain words and instead of saying your name when you talk you say I
She’s learned a lot by hanging out with me and another friend. No one is perfect and everyone has something different about them .

I also love the purity of people on the spectrum! I love how genuine they are! They keep it 💯! Also, I’ve never met someone on the spectrum that’s a bully or gives others a hard time-they will however, say it how it is/tell u how it is-minus the sugar coating (which some may not like)-but-never bullying!! I believe there’s a MASSIVE difference between the 2 (being real vs a bully).

My Aunt Jill is delayed (she is 54 and Autism wasn’t what she was diagnosed with back when she was younger). I LOVE that she is always the favorite Aunt. Up until I was about 9/10 my Aunt Jill was THE best. She would color with me, watch movies, push me down the stairs in a sleeping bag etc... I didn’t catch on right away that she was different. I just thought she was like me. Now,today, she is the exact same with my kids. My three year old yells “Aunt JILLY” every time we see her. She has stayed the same and gets to be the best fun Aunt generation to generation.

I have an uncle with mild intellectual disability, but he is able to live a very "typical" life (lived independently, married, employed, etc.), so I only found out a few years ago! It never occurred to me that he was different, he's just Uncle Steve. Now that you mention it, he is one of my favorite uncles, and he's always been great with kids!

Kids today are definitely more aware. it's an amazing thing to see. I can walk into Target and one of my boys can have a meltdown (and definitely all the happy sounds that most adults don't know how to deal with) on a Saturday and the general reaction from school age kids is "omg I know that person!" and then they turn around and they do not. 😂 The let down on their face when it isn't THEIR classmate. It gives me all the feels I tell ya. I love that so many kids like my kids are loved by their peers and their peers are excited to see them at Target. 😉😂 Now when it IS one of MY kids people they are SO pumped! "Hi Park! Fist bump!" or "Hi Calvin! HUGS!!!!" 😂😂😂 Let me tell you, when they see their classmates out and about, all meltdowns are immediately shut down, it is sooooo awesome.

    Hi Ella!! 🤪🤩🤪🤣
    Great vlog guys
I don’t remember how I found FatherngAutism such an awesome family.
But once I did I’ve never left though them I found you guys. I knew little to nothing about autism before and have learned so much through them and you guys.
I think kids are more accepting of kids being different today because of the exposure no matter the disability, illness etc. When I was a kid back in the dinosaur days it wasn’t talked about and you never seen a kid different than you in school. Now a days kids are being inter grated into schools when ever possible teaching kids that some people are different and thats ok. Toys are now being made for all kids and kids with disabilities aka Barbie in a wheelchair etc. I’m pretty sure now that my oldest brother may have been autistic high functioning but on the spectrum. He was 16 years older than me born in 1938 so nothing then was probably known about autism. By the time I got old enough to know who he was he was gone out of the house on his own. I’ve had cousins tell me Charlie was a little different that knew him as a kid growing up.

I have a question...well couple of questions really...to do with genetics. Have you lovely folks ever had Ella genetically tested to see which gene is expressing her autism? I suspect I am on the scale somewhere but have never been tested and am curious about the genetic aspect of autism. I'm specifically also curious about whether a high functioning autistic who had children might have higher risk of passing autism to their child. If I do have asd would my children have the same type or could it miss them entirely?
