I salute your candour . I have been there before. Pursuit of excellence is as much creative as contraceptive. There are reams of text you consign to the dust bin because your critical radar detects heaps of chaff with no grains. There are days so crepuscular you virtually decide to discard whatever stationery is stacked up in the drawers and on the table.
But the clouds disperse and you are back in the study. Time to restart and renew. Write and rewrite. The pencil shall outlast the eraser. Shades of Nabokov.
