Revit has become so much easier to use because of your tutorials.. This was the best video for creating patterns.. and so easy to use!! Thank you so much!!!
I love your videos. Always so helpful! I do have a question about patterns - where does pyRevit save the pattern? Does it generate a single .pat file? How can I share my patterns with other Revit projects?
I created a simple triangle patter. Now when I want to apply the hatch pattern to compressed earth, as part of a floor, the patter does not align correctly. It shows the center of the triangles and the rest are cut off. How can I make a pattern only repeat horizontally and not vertically. Because revit seems to stack multiples of them and I just need one
Great tutorial ! I was wondering if there is any way to use these patterns to make a solid form out of it. For eg. in the pattern made by you above i would like to have a solid made out of it where the circle is a void part and the rest is a solid part, so that it looks like a facade design. any method where you apply the pattern on the wall or a floor and the geometry(The central circle in case of your pattern) is cut out of the wall/floor
How one can edit an pattern if top and bottom shall be at full size piece and center piece might have cut piece so that can be applied at different locations… for eg. brick wall in elevation where top and bottom is of full block center can be cut and could reduce pattern size??
Great channel! I'm looking for a video that shows the various ways to update walls on a floor plan using a linked model. When different disciplines link in an updated architectural model into their drawing, what are the different options for getting the wall, windows, openings etc updated?
Thank you so much for this useful video. You mentioned that you have put the plugin link in the description below for us to download but I can't see any link, please can you direct me on this, I will appreciate, thank you
I liked your tutorials a lot because they were about native Revit. Using a plugin is not what i want. Trying to install py-whatever crashed my 2023 Revit ... :( Now i have no solution for my pattern problem, but a new problem getting rid of py code ... I will never do this again ... hope i can fix this somehow ...
For some reason it doesn't want to create patterns for me. I followed it step by step, but I don't get the pattern created/updated window. Anyone experience that and have a fix for it?
Hi is there anyway that you could make a video on how to load this pattern into a separate project or if anyone has some insight on how to do that it would be much appreciated
Great tutorial. Question, if you create another wall, lets say at 90 degrees to it, the pattern doesn't align. Any suggestions on how to align them from one wall to another?
Hi. thank you very much for this video. I have a question: when I apply a pattern to an rotated object (not vertical like a wall, in my case a oblique panel), in 3d view the pattern keeps stay aligned with an hypothetic vertical face and is not showed coherent with the oblique face... Have you any idea how to solve this issue? Many thanks
Hey balkan How can we make a slanted wall and slanted curtain wall on revit 2020.....or if u have made a video before can u please drop the link i cant found it pls
your video and tutorial are great, as usual. But to EVERYONE ELSE, good luck downloading and installing PyRevit lolllll. So so so so so difficult and time consuming. Grab your migraine relief bottle or Tylenol and be ready to be very patient. However this is why he left it out of the description and doesn't really comment on downloading it, because its a son of bitch to get it up and running

I love your videos. Always so helpful! I do have a question about patterns - where does pyRevit save the pattern? Does it generate a single .pat file? How can I share my patterns with other Revit projects?

How do you make the tile pattern appear in an elevation when you use this same approach?
I created a simple triangle patter. Now when I want to apply the hatch pattern to compressed earth, as part of a floor, the patter does not align correctly. It shows the center of the triangles and the rest are cut off.

can you rotate a drafting pattern?
