Catriona was crowned by a South African (Demi Leigh Nel Peters - Tebow) MU 2017. Catriona held hands with MU 2018 1st Runner up Tamaryn Green who is also from South Africa during the final announcement of the winner. Lastly, Catriona crowned a South African beauty named Zozibini Tunzi a.k.a Miss Universe 2019. What I love about South African queens is that they are all diversely beautiful, top notch speakers and they are very warm and welcoming. We Filipinos definitely love South Africa! 🇵🇭 x 🇿🇦

In fact,Catriona is the first one to interview Lalela after she won Miss South Africa,the same as when Zozibini won Miss South Africa 2019.Lalela achieved a 2nd runner-up at Miss Universe 2021 & eventually won Miss Supranational 2022. She applied again this year, I doubt she’ll make it into the finals though as Miss SA Organisation is very meticulous with their selection. I believe had she waited another year; she could possibly place. But definitely not this year.
Instead of who in this particular Top 3 in your opinion? I say she must try her luck in another year & be specific about what she wants to do. She did really great to be in Top 5. Her & Jeannie’s answers were great, but not exceptional or memorable imo. The same reason Catriona won over Tamryn. Tamryn’s beauty is exotic, but Catriona was more prepared, her performance was exceptional.
