Melissa’s response was excellence personified. She redirected the question by not putting the entire responsibility on the youth; rather acknowledging the systems that exclude youth and diminish their voices. She then balanced it by speaking directly to youth to remind them of their responsibility. This moment moved me the way Zozi moved me at MU with her final question. I was certain that this stunning goddess with the grace and bone structure reminiscent of Joann Strauss, an eloquence, beauty and tone that echoed Zozibini Tunzi, a heart anchored in her advocacy like Shudu had certainly sealed her fate as the next Miss SA. Instead I watched her be nitpicked on Crown Chasers and witness a daylight robbery of epic proportions. This moment is a case study for the impossible standards Black women must uphold to only get a fraction (if any) of what is justly theirs. Melissa Nayimuli’s mission was greater than her and I’ll live to see her rise to epic heights globally. She is simply stunning, magnetic and a force!
I fully conquer. As Pageantry Analyst who follows MISS SA to the core, I observed a different pattern of loving the strongest contender out of top 3 on purpose.
Oh my god you are such an intelligent human being. Thank you for this analysis. I thought I was the only one that saw Melissa. as she is. She is Amazing and extraordinary, she is bigger than Miss South Africa. Nitpicking her was so unnecessary. This girl is an African Goddess and I am here to witness her next move.
Yea, the last contestant was robbed. She won that round hands down not only in the way she answer but also her poise and the way her thoughts flowed. Others sound more rehearsed she sound and looks the most natural. /Authentic.
@@yamatoishida3560you must be joking! When she said we should ask young people why they don’t vote, didn’t you get that?? When you ask us and we tell You the reason (which she even stated, we’re not reflected in government) and then encourages us to vote so that our voices can be heard cus it matters! She killed this round!! She had the best answer along with Nande ! She was robbed my dear.. Mel should’ve advance to top 3!!
I swear something went wong here. Melissa's response was realistic and and her advocacy would have definitely shifted the Miss SA scope of work. We haven't seen a miss SA doing impactful work in film and tv, Melissa was that girl.I respect the top 3 chosen but Melissa earned her spot and they robbed her so much. I want her to do Miss World
What the Miss SA did to Melissa is nasty, regressive & pure evil! What on earth was she snubbed for the top3,inspite of giving clearly the strongest, impact & comprehensive answer like hers, amongst them all? Surely this was done deliberately to path the way for Natasha to win? How does one explain this inexplicable nonsense? What is actually the objective purpose of the Q & A session if it holds no determining bearer to a potential winner? I so wish Mellisa would come back, with vengeance, next year. She was used as a sacrificial lamb!
Even the host knew Melissa Killed her Answer! Y’all should be ashamed and embarrassed for this rigged pageant ! Y’all knew she did the best here out of the top 5 😢
She said increasing grants to minimum wage will solve poverty and inequality ? How ? People earning the minimum wage are also in poverty. And she said she wants to “ENFORCE” it, enforce it how?grant accessibility isn’t the problem, the problem is people don’t meet the minimum requirements for grants, even though they too need them, the requirements need to be relaxed, But even if they were it goes back to what I said,GRANTS will not alleviate poverty, or help inequality. The only way these things can be solved is by creating jobs and ensuring that these job opportunities are accessible to those that need it,she then also needs to answer how is she go into go about job creation, in a way that’s not currently being done Her answer is idealistic
At top 5 scores are not at zero because they also had been scored in crown chasers, also they had been voted for, so this means that even if your answer would get less scores in top 5 or top 3 Q&A, you could still win if you topped votes and crown chasers.
Melisa’s answer was watered down by the way Debbie’s question was premised: “take back our power, our country”. That was already giving away the reason why you encourage the young to vote. Debbie should have stopped at the what, how, and why. Debbie took away the why. Oh, why?
Homba was the speaker of the group, i really thought she was going to kill Q&A, but i guess the nervousness got to her. Melisa on the other hand was definitely affected by her CrownChasers scores. I mean she was in the bottom 3 twice and was just dipping as the episodes went by. Natasha was just consistent throughout period.

I strongly blv that Melissa belong to top 3
Melissa deserved to place in the Top3. Her answer and delivery was powerful 👌
Melissa was robbed to death

Nah Melissa was robbed
No she didn't answer the question, she said the reason she didn't say how she will convince the youth to vote

Melissa was robbed it's true.😅
They knew that she was going to get that crown that is why they didn't let her advance to the top 3.
She could have nailed the top3 QnA better

Melissa will end up in PARLIAMENT
Melissa Nayimuli should’ve been Miss South Africa😢

From a Communications perspective, Bryoni gave one of the most concise and substance aware answers. She's so underrated.

Bryoni was just waffling, off topic, maybe she was just rewarded for her height. She also lacks confidence
Nande, Melissa and Natasha topped here. I wonder why Melissa couldn't advance to top 3. I understand at top 5 scores are at zero.

She was only in the bottom three once. She won and episode and was in the top three once as well.
@sandranayimuli470 basically she was average for most of CrownChasers 🤷♀️
@@TaniaT6 I was just correcting you for saying that she was in the bottom three twice because that’s false information :)
