In this episode we explore the stunning landscapes of Phillip Island and Sorrento! We take you on a scenic journey through two of Victoria's most beautiful spots. 🌊🏖️ But it’s not all sunshine and smooth roads - the unpredictable weather of the Australian coastline definitely keeps us on our toes! 🌦️ Watch as we navigate through sudden changes in temperature and gusty winds, all while enjoying the freedom and beauty of vanlife. We'd love to hear from you! Share your thoughts, ask questions, or tell us about your own Big Lap adventures in the comments below.🤩🚐🙏
Thank you Jill 🤩🚐🙏we were close because the echidna shot out of the bushes across our path , we were lucky to actually capture it on camera 🤩🚐such a lovely moment 😊
Hello Tim and Sandy. Nice wildlife footage. Great scenic veiws. Poor Pablo being cold and couldn't go on a long walk but he did look happy running on the beach. Thank you for sharing have a good day.
Hi Guys, nice views there in Melbourne. You need 4 seasons of clothes when visiting Victoria as the weather can change so quickly in one day as you have experienced. Lovely to see Pablo enjoying the beach. Cheers
Your own funicular railway to the beach, how posh. I bet the battery was expensive, too. The ferry is cost vs time. How much did it cost in diesel for the trip around vs ferry cost. A great use for a Prison. I've worked in Prison for 25 years. One, Stafford Prison still has the steps outside the hanging house and a trap door for the condemned to fall through. It's an office now. They started executing prisoners inside the Prison after the makeshift raised platform for spectators had too many people on it and it collapsed. After that, no more public executions. I've even read the execution register at Stafford Prison whilst I worked there. A lot were just sent to you instead. Another great episode, thanks for sharing.
Good old layers - we often got it wrong on a walk with one big thick layer till we approached it with several layers Only problem is you then turn into a pack horse carrying them when it gets to hot Thanks for sharing weather extremes looks a nice area
Was at the cinema at Pentridge yesterday, they’ve done a great job with the complex. Chopper and Ned Kelly were both there at some point. Internet says Kelly was hung and then buried there.
Welcome to Melbourne! The Crowded House song, 4 Seasons In One Day, is surprisingly enough about Melbourne. We've been for 10 years and we're still not used to the weather. We love it but is weird. I grew up in Vic till my teens and then moved to Sydney for 30 years so I consider myself a Sydneysider. But Sydney humidity sucks. It is why we couldn't move to FNQ. We loved Vietnam but that heat and humidity sucked there too. So I'd have 14 degrees one day and 35 degrees the next any day of the week. In fact that was last week. 😂 35 one day and 15 the next. Even this weekend we've had two days over 35 (my car thermometer said 41). But Monday should be around 20 again. One Christmas we went for a bushwalk down in the Otways, the other side of Melbourne, and it was 8 degrees. 😂 Australian ferry prices, especially car ferries suck. More than Sydney's humidity. It is a real rort. We've never done the Sorrento ferry for that reason. Same with Kangaroo Island and Rottnest Island. The Tassie ferry is almost as bad but you really don't have a choice. But 100s of bucks for trips less than an hour is outrageous especially if you've experienced how cheap it is on a car ferry in Japan. Okay, rant over. 😂 Pentridge is out our way. It is mostly a housing estate now. It would be interesting if you lived near where the last man hanged in Australia, Ronald Ryan 1967, was hanged. 😐 Terrific video again. You went to some really lovely places. It is nice down on the Peninsula. Definitely lots to see and do down there.
Thank you Shane 🤩🚐🙏yes it’s really a challenge trying to find the perfect climate to live in 😳that’s why we like vanlife because it gives us the option to take our home away from weather extremes 😀
Good morning, Sandy, Tim and Pablo wow, it seems the weather is crazy down there. supposed to be Summer?? I like kangaroos are checking on you two. haha unfortunately I heard famers shoot at them Lovely sandy beach walk with spoiled Pablo..haha he deserves it. No Koala bears here? I like encountering wildlife. Haha Stay warm. Well done filming and editing professionally.
Thank you Mskayak7seas 🚐🤩🙏yes it can be 4 seasons in one day here , there are no koalas on the island as the gum trees don’t grow so close to the sea 😊
We currently are going through a similar variation in temperature, unfortunately our maximum is your minimum. Max today is 3C Love the wildlife. LOL that is what we call admin as well.
We originally became vegan during COVID to be healthier but as soon as we were on the road fulltime we found it wasn’t viable to continue that diet due to availability and cost in rural areas 😊
