    Hi! I love the repotting mat you see in the video. It's handy as can be, & folds up small for easy storage. Here's the link in case you want to check it out: amzn.to/3w7YpB8 Hugs, Nell

      I meant ignoring the cat cleaning his private parts! I didn't see it until I was going through the clips. I think he loves the camera! Nell

    I found your channel because of one of your Bromeliad videos. I got a few Guzmanias from the grocery store and want to make sure I care for them properly.
    Then I clicked on this video because I was gifted a Monstera cutting 2 months ago and am propagating it in water. Yes! The roots are HUGE! The cutting had one big leaf and one that was unfurling. So not as big as yours. Thank you for this video! Now I know how to give the cutting a new home in soil.
    My main problem is, I don't have space for a Monstera to grow to a huge size. I also have a cat that will eat any plant I bring in. Right now, my Monstera is on a rack in my closed off bedroom with a grow light. I think I will have to sell it, unfortunately. I wish I could plant it outside! I'm in zone 8b up from 8a. I don't think it would survive our winters eventhough they're kind of mild.

    I LOVE your kitty! Thank you for sharing her and the water propagation / temp repotting. I've been looking for a fold up potting mat for indoors. This one looks like it is perfect! Thank you!

    Awesome! This is helpful, I have some Philodendron Tahiti cuttings I need to plant up and I wasn't sure if I should just put them in soil... the roots are almost as big as those, it's crazy. Also, I've been looking for a potting mat like that for awhile, that looks like a nice one, and so reasonably priced, thanks Nell :) p.s. Your kitty is so funny :D He really wanted the video to be about him😺

      Hi! Monstera roots are crazy; & those have only been in water for 2 months. You'll love the mat - it's easy to clean & easy to store. Tazzy loves being in videos! Nell

    Enjoyed seeing that this water technique works. Do you have a video showing where you cut them from the mother plant I’d like to try this with my plant

      Yes, it's on the way. My pruning of the plant is coming up in March/April. I'm doing a series of 3 Monstera pruning/planting/training videos & blog posts. Nell

    I have an enormous monstera that I should probably prune and propagate but I am nervous about making the cuts at the appropriate places.

    Hi Nell! Love your videos and all the information you give! Thinking about chopping my monstera. My question is, should I chop the aerial roots off, or turn them into water roots? Thank you for all you do!

    • @JoyUsGarden
      @JoyUsGarden  7 місяців тому +1

      Hi! Thank you so much! I don't put the aerial roots in water because that can lead to rot. I trim some, & leave others be. I did a short on Monstera aerial roots. Here you go: ua-cam.com/video/X17CiWqD_BY/v-deo.html&ab_channel=JoyUsGarden Nell

    Hi 👋, monstera is my favourite plant . I’ve ended up with 5 as I try to find a large form 😂. Would love a video on large firm and borsigiana. Especially how you know if a baby plant is large form .

    • @JoyUsGarden
      @JoyUsGarden  7 місяців тому +1

      Hi - I love them too. I've only seen a borsigiana 1 time & that was at a growers in San Diego. I've never grown one. Nell

    My monstera was beautiful & thriving but after repotting it, it now looks straggly & yellowish. Idk what happened.
