Hi - This is a complete cut back - vines be gone! In a month or 2, I'll plant the rooted cuttings back in with the mother plant. Of course, I'll film it, so be sure to check back. Hugs, Nell

I love this plant. Especially when they have big big leaves. They do get leggy though.

I love the foliage, but they sure do get leggy! I've pruned this one a few a few times. Never all the way back, though. Nell

I propagate my pothos by cutting off each individual leaves with a node ( I cut lots of them 20-30), Stick the node end of the leaf into water and just wait for them to send out roots. Each node sends will root. Once rooted I plant a bunch of them together in a single pot. I usually end up with several pots.

Hi - Yes, pothos propagate easily by leaf cuttings. I just cut my 16' pothos back by half. That would have been a lot of leaf cuttings! Nell

Can any plant be cut and propagated?

Palms cannot be top-cut for propagation. But, if they have offshoots (pups) at the base, those can be removed.

Hi - No. If we're talking houseplants, many can. For instance, I propagated ZZ Plants stems, & it took over 10 months for them to root. Aloe vera, like others, is much better propagated by division. Nell
