Вставка
- Опубліковано 10 лют 2025
- One of my coolest fishing experiences to date, commercial fishing off my buddy Tyler's 31' contender for the largest and most expensive species of fish in the world, the giant bluefin tuna. This video tells the story of this epic catch and how exactly it goes from boat to market.

YOu got the life dude. My idea of a good trip in college was skateboarding to the beach to catch whiting!
Haha got to make the most 🤙

I know Tyler from the Pinwheel!! Known him forever! Great guy!! He used to always stop through Ocean City MD on his way south even before the TV show! My buddy Phil is a mate but he mated on Tylers boat for years! Awesome stuff man!! Y’all are small boat warriors doing that on the contender!!! Props bro!!! So sick!!
🤙🤙🤙
Long Island fisherman here. Thanks for keeping it real. Appreciate the videos during winter. Counting down for the next season.
Already in season 🤙
Nice work very informative🤙
That sunset shot was insane!!! Fighting a giant!!! Epic man so sick!!!
One of the best sunsets of all time tbr
Most epic fishing video I have ever seen. Awesome job!!!
Yew 🤙
I used to take my 28 SeaVee out too the Gulf Stream all the time your bring back memories for me Thank You
It’s crazy to see such a big time fisherman come to experience and post about what I feel is normal being a local. However, when we go offshore I still have to wake up around 3:30ish since we don’t have a slot at pirates cove. It’s a great time, the OBX isn’t just great because of the beaches, but also it’s fishing!
Hell of a trip and sick vid homie
Yessirrr 🤙
What do they do with the heads
Great job on this video Dillon. Super content as always Dillon and very creative. Again, of the saltwater UA-camrs I subscribe to, yours are absolutely the saltwater videos that I can’t wait to see most….for different reasons like your creativity, your energy and creativity, witnessing your journey, your growth, going all out, keeping it real, you’re absolutely on the way up!! This video with the small boat landing the giant tuna reminds me of the cow stripers you’ve landed on the jet ski. Wouldn’t be surprised to see you on Wicked Tuna or whatever you aspire to do. Hoping you stay your course and creativity rather than succumb to the “appeal” of the $alt$trong cookie cutter approach that has led many prior creative favorite surf/saltwater UA-camrs to take. You market yourself. You’ll end up doing whatever you want. I’ve only been saltwater fishing for about 4 years but am addicted to it and appreciate you. Everywhere I’m in the NJ/Tristate area, fisherman, tackle shops and charter/party boats all know you. Be safe and don’t take the jet ski out to land the giant tuna :)
Thanks for the kind words Mike. It really means alot!
Congratulations on the giant tuna awesome video love the content great stuff thanks for the videos
Thanks for tuning in 🤙
Dillon your the best ! I did trips outta Galilee R.I. in summer 20-80 miles out and loved it.
Winter trip is something I have to do!
Great video. You showed much respect at the fish house.
Incredible job with the video and congrats to Capt Tyler , Alex , and yourself for catching some beautiful fish. I'm sure a lot of people will enjoy as you showing the entire process of catching to selling. Looking forward to maybe seeing you guys on Wicked Tuna :) Double thumbs up :)
Thanks capt!
Man only ever got to catch one in my life!! So epic man!!! Loving your content!! Let me know if you wanna come down to Ocean City MD and fish!!
Thanks for tuning in!
Aka, I will never come down and fish with you! That's why I didn't acknowledge your statement! @@dillonfishing
Come down to Cape May we will take you out with us, your a young man who shares our passion, it would be a blast.
OUTSTANDING 🍻
Hey, luv the channel. I live in Nova Scotia. I heard of a couple local guys this past September hooked into a 1500lber....the rumor was, they had muscles in their 💩 for 2 weeks afterwards.
Mouth watering
Nice trip, Maya says hi, she loves your adventures!
Hi Maya!
What’s the size of those swells. 4 footers every 7sec?
Great job!
He sold it for $6/lb and the whole thing weighed 485lbs
That was awesome
that was badass
What a damn monster, good day dude.
how many pounds of drag are you guys fishing?
Google penn 80w drag thats the reels they are using i believe its over 100lbs of drag
Second time watching this video. Would love to have a catch and cook with that fish! 🤙
Definitely need more quality catch n' cook channels out there. Taku is leading the market by a long shot. Stuff like this though, he can't compare with- if only you cooked it, although I totally get why he didn't. Why cook this monster when you can sell it to someone who is a waaaay better chef than you are (and can utilize that amount of meat effectively). As one would say: stay in your lane, breh.
@@kylebrahney7166 I been a chef for over 13 years. First job seafood restaurant/ marina for fish market. It wouldn’t be the first tuna I would be laying down in a table cutting up on a table. This is literally my lane. But I think I would of sold it for the dollar at the end of the day.
Just so you know the fish weighs 480lbs and they got 6$ per pound so it’s 2880$ they also had some other fish that was 220lbs for 2 fish @$11 per pound is 2420$ in all they made 5300$
Lol I just saw myself in the background of his march 8th video last year
amazing!!
Epic!
Why so long to get that tuna in?
idk I didn’t ask him
❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉
Not even 3k for that bluefin had to be a disappointment.
🐟
483 pounds of meat weight. At $6 a pound. He got around 3k
480 at 6 a pound & 2 110 at 11 a pound about 5 grand not bad
Sharks don’t bite your fish when bleeding them like that?
Not when the water temp is 45°
Close to 7 grand for a trip. Not bad! After expenses and wage payout you made 6g in 24hrs.
Crazy,.. only got 6 per lb dressed for that giant. I feel cheated and I'm not the one that caught it.
$4500 for 3 fish. Not bad
Try scalloping
Over fishing, I keep one all the rest returned,
Please Please stop advertising they go for millions. If you never been to Japan. It's custom at the beginning of harvest season to buy the first and only first giant tuna for stupid amount of Yen. Some are 500k Yen, some business who are funded well pay millions Yen For blessing at first season.
Trust me when I tell you, the first tuna being sold for millions is in (Yen) . It's a marketing strategy. And the tuna will be from his closes friend in market.
Everyone hearing you say that, thinks it's real. Market is 6 to 8 dollars per lb. By the time shipping cost added your looking at less. Awesome footage best regards to tight lines.
they have never , or ever will sell any where even close to a million.!! sorry ,I have to laugh at that statement !! maybe 10/15 thousand.. max !
Catching 1 bluefin over 73 inches in one day isn’t that big a deal to me. Last time I went bluefin fishing in OBX my buddy and I brought 12 bluefin (all 73 inches or greater) to the boat. Kept our allotted one and tagged/released they other 11. Fish ranged from #225 (the one we kept) to an estimated #470. To top of the trip on the way in we trolled up king mackerel and blackfin tuna.
Thanks for letting us know. 😅
