Glad to see that I am not the only one to listen to every rev of the engine and watch 100% of video. I suspect some of the speach / conversation could be interesting. Best wishes, great videos.
Nicely done Captain Alina. Hope you made Dad buy you the warmest trousers in the shop ;-) Try get him to buy you a Baleno or an Ozee Flying suit. Very very comfy and warm.
I could watch this amazing young lady fly for hours, wait a minute...i have. Darn it pops you keep posting n i cant get anything else done. Lol...jk keep it up Alina your doin great!
Always exciting visiting new locations, airports. I hear a cry for pant upgrades!!? Great footage. A very novel way of viewing South Carolina. Luvvit. Greetings from UK.
I get on a 16 foot extension ladder and my knees wobble, palms sweat so bad my tools get slippery. That's never gone away and I've done it all my life. Some people have the fear and some don't. I definitely couldn't get in that and fly.
Thanks for sharing your flight with us all. It looks cold there ? Here in the UK today is about 12c and raining, about right. Looks like a new harness rig you have ? Great display of flying skills.
These videos are really cool to watch and the joy on Alina's face when she's flying is great. I am not a pilot and know nothing about flying, but it seems to me she is really good at what she does. One of the commenters asked if there is a plan B if the engine quits. Does anyone know what happens in that case? Does this aircraft essentially turn into a glider and you land where you can, be it in a field or on a highway?
It seems to me, William, you ought to put two cameras, one filming Alina, for you, and the other filming the airway in front of the machine. In other flights, there was a camera filming in front of the aircraft, although not put right on the nose of it.
i'm concerned about all the tolerance stacking here, a bad head cold/flu mimicking being inebriated/not at her mental best, lack of life jacket over freezing water, gusting winds, no beanie, scarf in blowing cold winds (risk of pneumonia), no helmet...oiy. She's precious, remember? Please be safe
I just hope there was a plan B if her engine quits? I didn't see anywhere to bring it down except water. Forests were all to dense to land in. I didn't see a vest or raft? Alina needs to be more observant looking around more, never seen her look on both sides of her plane. Stay safe Alina and enjoy SnF! Also I have a question about her Ultra Lite, Is it that hard to fly because all her movements are very jerky nothing smooth?
another great vid, only 1/3 of the way through it, let me be like everyone else and offer tips lol. I would add check fuel valve and choke prior to rollout, obviously they are ok as the plane ran 5 minutes, but double checking is not a bad thing. FYI my fuel valve could be operated by blowing on it, and they had OFF aim down lol,, so you take off bump fuel cuts off.
Not to be overly critical but she seems to spend a lot of time either looking at instruments or talking on the radio. Needs to develop the habit of looking up and out. Aviate, navigate, communicate. On the plus side I love the checklists that she has and uses!
When I started flying (Cessna 172), I had this same problem, and it came from playing flight simulators. It was a hard habit to break but I did! I haven't flown in years sadly... Long story, but it is financially related, as you could probably guess. I really need to get back into it.
Following the route you took on nav maps. You are a total Pathfinder. 1000 miles cross country solo! You look cold🥶 Shame Aerolight dont make an enclosed cockpit kit! Watching each hop take off to landing. What height AGL are you flying? Buttered the landing like a pro!
Hey guys. I really enjoy watching y'all's channel every chance I get. BTW, what happened to the "Look Around" concept. My 8 year old grandson Rilee really got a kick out of that. Cya
I taught myself to fly around 1990 in an MX. Flew off and on since then. Currently going over this 1995 Loehle Sport Parasol I bought and getting it ready and compliant with 103. Decided to check laws on insurance etc and found out Virginia made ultralights into aircraft about 15 years ago, they require 100k in liability insurance to fly even at your house 25 inches off the ground. Also the ultralaight (an aircraft now in Va) has to be registered in Va with the Dept of Aviation as an aircraft and sales tax paid on the purchase price, and the county is going to be notified by them so I a get property tax bill each year. After a lot of research the only answer I found is join USUA for 40 bucks a year then buy insurance through them with O2insurance in Florida about 650 a year. Just wondering if you have heard of this in other states or is Virginia the leader in screwing up part 103 ? I made a couple of vids of these laws in Va (there are several that created this mess) and my exploration for a solution. Not having the insurance is a criminal offense, you have to have that to register, not being registered is also a criminal offense.

Preferably an Airbus as Boeings tend to disintegrate :o) Though being an airline pilot is akin to being a bus driver.
