I enjoyed the video. Except where he never stops at stop signs.

A good pal made Bultaco dies and gaskets here in Vancouver for years I was the British gasket guy but the Spanish dies still in shop. RIP Colin a real Bultaco guy. That 72 reminds me of my 72 r60/5 start, u can put a 5spd in but 72 stock 4 but it will do 110mph.

Yeah you guessed it, me again . . .
Thanks for mentioning me and my previous comment [re the hatchet job you did on the K1] in one of your recent videos, my 15 minutes of fame?
You have to stop referring to comments/replys as 'hate mail'. You are expressing your opinions on a public forum and as such must expect responses of some description from the biker public, positive or negative!
I own a 1973 75/5 and have to admit that these older machines have their foibles, that's their appeal isn't it? But before making the purchase I did some research on them which highlighted a 4 speed gearbox [transmission as you guys call it] and drum brakes. The front brake efficiency was non existent, and the rear was over efficient which was a bad combination. Now sorted and a dream to ride. The gearbox may only have 4 gears, but they're ratio's are long making the bike feel usable in town as well as on longer runs, and not at all stretched pushing up the revs etc. The other advantage being less gear changes needed. I could ramble on all night about the positives and negatives of these bikes, but prefer not to moan and just improve and adjust as required. No one likes a moaner.

Thanks for checking back in! I appreciate you're still watching. My "hatchet job" still draws a lot of response, but that was my story of that bike. Did you see my review on the R100GS, that Beemer I really liked! So it's not all bad. Just sometimes! I'm glad you took it well and checked back!

My ex-wife was a moaner. That's about all i miss about her. Screamers are a dime a dozen, but a good moaner is a thing to behold. Problem with moaners are they know what they got and they usually come with alotta bullshit.

All /5s were 4 speed. Wish they had a 5th. Agree on the brakes. Drums suck ... I see a lot of guys converting to disks.

I'm sorry I don't know the answer to that

No.. Different switches and relays under the tank of '80s models require more space than in '70s

My 71/5 only had 4 speed.
