Young Dave, my oldest brother had the keyhole surgery for the same thing. Guess what? He is still walking, breathing, LIVING. All the best, can't wait for you to get back.
Across Florida. I feel for you Dave from bullpen cycle. I watch you all the time. Sound like a brave guy and I know you're strong. You got this. My heart is with you so are my prayers❤ 🙏
My wife's been a sterilisation technician for decades, and my neice does robotic surgery work. Cancer is no longer the death sentence it was in THE GOOD OLD DAYS. God bless you Dave.
I'm a few months shy of 61. In June I completed 28 rounds of radiation for Prostate Cancer. I have to get a blood test in September to make sure my PSA level is 0. They seem to be confident they got it all since it was in the early stages and was still contained. I'll know for sure in October. My treatments were painless with no side effects. The worst part for me was I live an hour from the treatment center so M-F for 6 weeks I had to make the trip and they found mine from a high PSA score. Hope things go well for you but catching it early is key so you got that going for you. Good luck.
Same here. My biggest issue was having to drink a liter of water before each treatment. I live 35 miles from the treatment center. So, sometimes, the ride home was a bit uncomfortable.
I had a robotic radical prostatectomy 4 years ago for stage 3 prostate cancer and my PSA is clean. I have ridden 5000 miles so far this summer. Best of luck man 👍😎
Hey Dave, I am a survivor of that damn procedure, it's been 4 years and I ride everyday. It wasn't fun but, I'm not worm food lol. I don't do prayers very well, so I will be giving you my best wishes. I can't promise that you will be up for the duelsport ride but, you will be going to Daytona & Oley & York & Mid Ohio for many, many years 👍 Let us know how you are doing asap. Good luck, we are all counting on you !
Praying all goes well with your surgery! Be a good little boy and recover exactly as the doc instructs. Don't cheat on your recovery. Take the time you need and take it properly. Don't over exert too soon!
My prayers are with you Dave. Have a healthy speedy recovery. Gotta tell ya, this is my favorite channel, look forward to watching your videos upcoming.
Dave, you'll do great as long as you do EXACTLY as your doctor tells you. Look at this as an excuse to lay around and do NOTHING for 4 weeks. And ease into the the next two. I went through the exact same procedure and treatment two years and three months ago. They got it all. The first week of recovery was not fun because of the little urine bag hanging from your eggplant but it gets easier after that. The problem is that you'll feel like you can do stuff BUT DON'T! Let your body heal. I took my first ride on my VStar at the end of six weeks healing. It was uncomfortable. I'm going to say that you shouldn't do the ride in October. I think you would regret that choice. Good luck with your surgery and healing. I will say a pray or two for you. This will be a time for you to get organized with you paperwork and projects!😊
Hi Dave. Sorry to hear about your medical situation. I hope you have a quick recovery. I will look forward to seeing more videos when you are ready. The videos are great.
Dave, I’m 63 years old and I had the same surgery 2 years ago. You’ll have to take it easy for a while after the surgery. After that there’s going to be some lifestyle adjustments but that’s something that you’ll get used to. You’ll be back to a bike before you know it!! Praying for your speedy recovery!!
Great info Dave! Ty! And good luck with the surgery!! I'm recovering from colorectal cancer surgery after chemo and radiation treatment. I'm almost back to my old self except for the being regular part. Best case scenario!! Oh, and cancer free! (knock on wood) First thing I did when I got home from the hospital, well maybe I waited a few days, I grappled onto my Fat Bob to see if I could roll it around in the garage without dropping it. Success!! Rode it to the store. What a relief!!
Another good video, But with some not so good news , Good luck my friend With the surgery and outcome, My PSA levels are 7, And I go in for a biopsy in 2 Fridays, Thanks for the heads-up of what to expect, Thanks for all your insights on life and what to expect, And my hat goes off to you for your love for motorcycles, Enjoy your day to the fullest, Thanks again, Pensacola,
man that's bad news, I'm going 2 be pulling 4 ya, my wife has lung cancer and we ben fighting it 4 a year and a half now , hope you get it behind you soon, good luck, its all about attitude and i know what yours is, you will be fine trust me...
Hey Dave! Bummer about the prostate:( Can the Lazer 6 be titled in Florida or is it strictly off road use? Were you able to unrestrict either of your Lazer 6's?-John in Texas
I will pray for Dave. I worry about it myself at 59. I once watched a video... a guy had his prostate removed and was never in any serious discomfort like he was expecting the recovery would be. he said it was not horrible but more like just being careful and gentle and relaxing a lot and he was good to go soon after. I'm sure he didn't go riding through the whoop-tee-doos wide open in a vintage MX with 1.5 inches of travel on a 800 pound 1960 behemoth on a track with no watering, dust so thick nobody can see the track at all. like a wildman. probably only drinking orange Fanta for hydration, all day long, with leathers completely soaked in sweat weighing 20 pounds. footpegs are like rebar. wished you taken up paragliding instead.
Good luck Dave . I stopped by your shop. You were out. I don't like these Chinesium bikes . Never will ride one. Just got back from Tennessee knock out hard Enduro race Red bull. Was hanging out with Carson Brown who rode a 1997 Kdx 200 almost finished. It's on you tube now . Ps I am a survivor had intense c in chest 1991 . Still riding . Exercise lose weight eat healthy.
Is there a straightforward way to go about it on antique bikes *in* the state of FL that either don't have a title or have lost the title? I often come across bikes where the seller doesn't want to or doesn't know how to deal with the DMV on getting a replacement for a long lost title, or they never had a title to begin with, the previous owner died, and so on. It would be a real shame if all these bikes are just left unrideable because of it.
Proponents of Da Vinci will tell you it reduces your hospital stay but downplay the elevated risk for post op complications. Meanwhile the total recovery time is the same for DaVinci and conventional radical prostatectomies. You may drive a car after thirty days but definitely not a motorcycle. Ask your surgeon about that. Finally, any surgeon who suggests a “simple” prostatectomy vs a radical prostatectomy probably graduated at the bottom of his class. Trust me, I know whereof I speak.

If its worth it ,bring your bike to Wv.If we get the vin verified you can get a title for less than 200 bucks.
🙏
Pennsylvania is a pain ,,to get ,"off brand",bikes titled/ registered.

At least you have a smooth riding van and fla. roads are better than most.
I think you have the cancer scared.
If not there's Bruno.
Go to a female DR, that way you can pretend the exam is actually adult play.
Dave why do you keep buying all these risky, title problematic bikes? Don’t you get fed up with all the hassle? Just stick to mainstream stuff!
