  • Well time to finish up the last bit in the truck and to give the cockpit some excitement. We start off by finishing the AMP mount in the trunk. We get that mostly squared away. So I move onto cutting the holes in the dash. Ran into a few things that we needed to take a better look at. But at the end of the day I think the dash turned out fantastic. Join us for another.

I've always enjoyed your episodes on this cobra build, gotta say tho that personally the fewer electronics the better at least for these cars .

Crexfl I agree with you. But on this car we wanted to slide a little to the outside and use some different technologies that are normally not seen on these cars. When the car is complete I think it will be a lot more subtle. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the episode guys. I personally do like some electronics and other subtle and thoughtful ways to set a build apart. I’ll be interested to see where this goes.

@@michaelfleck5288 that's one of the things I love about Factory Fives. When we go to Factory Five's Huntington Beach Car show there will be 100 plus cobras and not a one is identical. Thanks for watching!

Fits like a glove used to mean a good fit. That was before O.J. Simpson got involved.

My radio head unit on my Furrari replica expired ( based on a Merc SL500) so I got a new one. Unfortunately you can’t get a surround to suit that radio and a Merc SL500. If you can’t buy one or steal one you have to make one. No problem, 3D print one. Boring. If you are driving into the sun you can’t see the position of the volume “buttons” on the radio face so the I incorporated some bi-colour LEDs in the side edge. Turn on the ignition, all 4 light up amber. Turn the ignition off, the amber lights go off and one of them flashes red to show the immobiliser/alarm is on. If the temp drops to 4 degrees on of the amber lights change to blue. If it drops to 0 one of the other amber lights changes to blue and flashes. A LDR controls the brilliance of the amber and blue lights so you don’t get dazzled at night. All controlled by an Arduino. That’s the centre of my dash.I

@@520speedworks6. Thanks. There is a very good reason I’m doing this. Because I can. No other reason needed.
