- In this week’s episode of Embroidery Hub, Willy shows you a unique embroidery technique that allows you to transform portraits and photos into embroidered pieces of art. He did this by using an exclusive stitch snapshot feature that is available in Chroma Plus and Chroma Luxe digitizing software.

For this project, we used:
MT-1501
Sweater
75 by 11 Sharp Point needles
40 weight thread
2 sheets of cutaway stabilizer
F hoop
Snips
Let’s discuss profit potential:
We got this sweater from JiffyShirts for $9, and the thread and stabilizer cost $0.25. You can sell sweaters like these for $35 to $65 on Etsy, depending on the design. That results in a profit of $25 to $55.
For the digitizing portion, we are using the Chroma Luxe digitizing software. First, input your design and click on the snapshot tool. A page will appear with all the tools you can use to manipulate the design. After you have made any needed changes, save those changes by clicking OK.
On the panel, select your design and press OK. Then, go to Design Settings, select the F hoop, and press OK. After that, flip your design so the sewing arm is on the open side of the sweater. Make sure to select the colors you want to use in the Color Selection menu. Finally, set your speed to 1000 stitches per minute, lock the machine, and trace the design. Once you do all that, press Start.
When the machine finishes embroidering the design, take the hoop off the machine and remove the hoop from the sweater. Then grab your scissors and cut off the excess stabilizer.
And now you have an embroidered piece of art! You’ll amaze your customers with beautiful works of art made entirely out of stitches using this exclusive feature that is available in both Chroma Plus and Chroma Luxe. - Навчання та стиль
Awesome feature and cool design!
Thanks!
This is so cool!!!
Yes it is, isn’t it!
After you use the snap shot tool and you design. You just save you design and it’s ready for embroidering or do I have still have to use the auto digitize option ?
After you save your design you can send it to your embroidery machine and it will be set to embroider!
Thanks for sharing. Please share how to design for sequin or cording embroidery using Chroma Inspire.
HI there, thanks so much for watching. This is a great suggestion and we have passed it on to our video team. Thanks again!
What do you mean by flip it so the sewing head is on the inside? Did you turn it upside down or his reverse image?
He just turned it upside down, not mirrored. Reason being is because he needs the sewing arm to be able to move around the bottom opening of the hoodie or else you would have a huge mess if the arm moved too far over and the hoodie had no where to move around. Lmk if that makes sense...
Hi, I am a beginner but my logo and the branding has been created with Canva digital software. Would this be compatible with Chroma?
You should be able to export your design fro canva and then upload it into Chroma Luxe and then do this process.
Is there a name/term for that style of stitching? It resembles the chenille stitch.
In the Chroma software it’s called a stippling stitch
My question is. How did you create the graphic with the exact colors on your machine?

I have a question about plagiarism, I personally do my own digital art for my embroidery. But what about random pictures on the internet?
If you don’t own the rights to the image you can’t sell it commercially
Would I be able to do this in Inspire or do I need someone to do it in Luxe for me?
This feature is exclusive to Chroma Luxe
Is there a tutorial for the wpap design in luxe?
Not yet, but thanks for the recommendation!
How do I make my image look like this which button I push for it to look fluffy?
All of these videos are great I just have one problem: the design name says Travis, but that’s definitely A$AP Rocky💀😂. Jokes aside y’all do great work I actually just bought a machine so I’m excited to try this.
Welcome to the Ricoma fam!
What stitch is that? Doesn't look like a regular fill
Hi there! He did this by using an exclusive stitch snapshot feature that is available in Chroma Plus and Chroma Luxe digitizing software.

I own a Melco machine and currently use design Pro software, is it possible to use this software and send the file to my machine?
Chroma save the files in multiple different formats. As long as Melco’s format is supported then you can export files in that format
You offer an discount code for software?

Yes it can! It's all in the digitizing, however, you'd need Chroma Luxe to create this design.

You forgot to add the links
They’re in the description!
Love the software, but the price point is high. It would be nice if there was a subscription model similar to that of Adobe Creative Cloud and some other applications.
Hi there, Chroma has a free trail you can use!
I have a question about the videos from October 1st to October 3rd I want to know why you guys made these videos private. These videos are great learning videos they really going deaf and you guys take him down
Michael, some of those videos will be available on social media in the future! Make sure to stay tuned to our next live in the meantime!
where did the design come from. I was under an impression that I am going to learn how to digitize an actual design and had no idea I'll be sitting here watching the machine work. Need in dept instructions, " NO " short cuts. I am a beginner and not so bright, if you know what I mean.
Hi Max, If you have Chroma, you can also check out these tutorials > ua-cam.com/users/ChromaDigitizingSoftware
