- "I still don't believe it's real," says Ryan O'Sullivan, the winner of "Hell's Kitchen" season 22. In Thursday night's finale, the Cork, Ireland native won a head chef position at Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen Las Vegas and a $250,000 cash prize by defeating his best friend, Johnathan Benvenuti, in the final dinner service. "The emotions came pouring out. It was bittersweet because not many people would say they enjoyed their time in 'Hell's Kitchen,' but if I could go back in the morning and do it again I would. It was phenomenal." Watch his exclusive video interview with Gold Derby senior editor Denton Davidson above.

Rooted for Ryan from the first episode...clearly dedicated and determined...CONGRATULATIONS! 🎉 Out of curiosity, today I watched episode 1 again and only three 5's were given...Ryan, Sammi and Jonathan.
Was rooting for Ryan too from the start 🎉
They tape it 2 years in advance is crazy. I figured they tape it months in advance maybe a year but 2 years is wild
I would guess it's because of Covid. There was a lot of social distancing and mask wearing.
I think the recent seasons were done this way because of COVID; I don't think in previous years it was that big of a gap between filming and release.
@@BlueStar0788that has nothing to do with it, in season 12 for example it was aired in 2014, but the first episode was filmed on Jessica’s 29th birthday, if you look at her Wikipedia page it says she was born in ‘83, and died in 2018
They started doing big filming gaps after season 8
This fella was a buddy of mine growing up.. congrats Ryan
It’s crazy to realize that the filming for both season 21 and season 22 of Hell’s Kitchen took place two years ago. Winners have to keep the fact that they won a secret for multiple years at a time, and then get flooded with interviews following the release of the final episode. Congrats to Ryan for winning!
Me and the misses been looking forward to each episode to download every Friday and been rooting for him since day one! Great to see the energy he brought to it. Shame it wasn’t broadcasted over here in Ireland at the same time
You never lost your Cork accent....Congrats
great interview - from both sides
Ryan deserved to win, congratulations
Congrats to Ryan! What a great season.
Ryan is a good awesome great chef he help me understands what I had struggle in the past I wish him best of luck
The thing with Ryan was my expectations of him were really high due to the fact that he's Irish and the last Irish born chef in HK was Declan in HK19 who was epic all season so he had a lot of prove for me and when it came to the pass and finale he lived up to the expectations and then some
Great interview, happy to see and listen to Ryan talk about his journey. I see a lot of passion and energy in him and no doubt he's locked into the culinary world now. Look forward to seeing where he goes from here. If I ever make it to LV I'll pop into the restaurant. Good to see he and Johnathan keep in touch.
I just finished watching the finale. I never doubted Ryan for a second. He's the most consistent, vocal and risk-taker in the kitchen. Very good looking as well☺️😁
Knew you would do it from day one🎉 your an amazing chef, best wishes from Cork😊
Great season!!! Great job, Ryan! Was rooting for you from the start!
Wrote his name down on a piece of paper and we put it in lock box!... Got emotional over his win for sure!!!
Why a lockbox?
outstanding!
Yeah, I didn't know the show is filmed so far in advance! I can't believe this filmed 2 years ago!!
They’ve had this big filming gap since season 12 i think
Ryan broke the Final Black Jacket Curse! 😱🥳 Congrats, Ryan!! 😍😁
i watch your journey its very intent and wonderfull ,i from indonesia , and i like how you created the menu
🎉
The Luck Of The Irish, Congrats Dawg 😎 ☘️ 🍀
Not luck. He earned it!
He dodged eliminations and made it all the way to the finish line
The only elimination he really dodged was the black jacket challenge, but really i dont think he was going home regardless
@@EpicAndrew97 I thought ryan was being eliminated before chef ramsay gave the black jacket to leigh, and he thought his pasta dish tasted anything but amazing
A solid congratulations to Mr. O'Sullivan for his Hell's Kitchen victory
I am so happy you won Ryan🎉
Did he take the job at the new opening restaurant
So when does he start the new role?
So that's the reason why Jonathan's daughter came in with a face mask. Interesting.
Luck of an Irishman
Not luck. He earned it.
I like Hell’s Kitchen winners who don’t get cold sores.
Really it was 2 years ago
From day 1 we saw leadership in Ryan. Knew he was gonna win
The Irish King takes it home.
I love Ryan!! ❤ I love his voice!! I love his accent!! I am glad he mentioned Jonathan.
Never noticed the snaggle tooth he has.
I absolutely love Ryan he's awesome and sweet
I knew you were going to go far into this competition from the minute i saw you cooking. Good job man, you really deserved it!
Two years in advance, damn.
It's weird.
Two years ago for Ryan.
Literally a few weeks ago for us.
You're a legend brother. ❤
Even I cried happy tears seeing Ryan win!! ❤❤❤
