Just a nitpick it’s not Père Lechaise as written in the title and in the pic but Père Lachaise. I know because I’m French and my dad is buried there.

Can we do something about the constant drumming/vibration noise that seems to be coming up through the mic? It's getting annoying.
By the sounds of it the mic is attached to the table and every time he lifts his hands and puts them back down the mic is being vibrated ... but yes, annoying ... but not as annoying as the constant reminder of how his name is spelt 🤣

I remember visiting there in the early 2000s and even though I didn't wander too far (I visited Morrison) I absolutely loved it. I feel like cemetery planning should be an important part of city planning to create a gorgeous memorial park

The renting of burial plots is not uncommon in Europe due to lack of space. Now in the USA where we have lots of space if you want to dig up the dead you had better have a very good reason.

James Morrison's lease runs out in 2025 and the cemetery has no plans to renew it, but neither do they have any plans to remove the body.
I'm confused about the ad comments. I have a finger that i can easily place on the video timeline to bypass the ad, so what is the issue? You choose to watch??? Or you go beyond. Not judgment, but I don't understand.

Agreed, I understand the unfortunate necessity of the ads for the channel to be successful and turn out good content but a 4-5 min ad makes me want to stop watching the Channel and avoid the company that forced such a waste of time ad read. 60 seconds is more then enough time to sell the company and what it’s selling. Worse case a 90 second ad would be bearable just not every video.

@@wethujonga8681this is not a channel Simon owned. There was some sort of disagreement with the owner. Simon is focussing on his own channels. Karl is fine. The long ads need to go. Especially when in the middle of the channels ads you tube shoves in an ad.

Good content as far as the history of the cemetery, but Oh! My ears are bleeding from the mangled French pronunciation, particularly after the long claim of researching the pronunciation.
Père LaChaise is pronounced more like pear la shez. There is no hard CH sound in French. It is always like SH and the ai sounds more like the soft e sound in English.
Egalité does not sound like eagle-ite, but more like egg Al ee tay.
Just plug questioned words into Google Translate and listen to the pronunciation. That won't always be perfect, but it will be correct most of the time, and closer the rest of the time.
